“Love this place! Great Dominican cuisine with tex mex options as well! I highly recommend the short rib tacos, mole poblanos enchiladas, milanesa de pollo (comes with cilantro-lime butter sauce, charred corn, & a tomato cucumber salad with arugula, hibiscus pickled onions, lime & olive oil), and my ultimate favorite, salmon a la isla (comes with a coconut sauce, sautéed squash & cilantro-quinoa white rice). We always get a side of the sweet plantains as an appetizer! They also have a great selection of margaritas and cocktails made with muddled fruits and other fresh ingredients! I love their agua Fresca as well!! It’s located right across from Klyde Warren park on the uptown side and they can also validate parking if needed!“
“Small and not too speedy, but the results were delicious.Chimichurri salsa is stinky and garlicy and wonderful. Al pastor empanadas had just enough caramelized pineapple to give complexity but not over sweetness. Like a well done ravioli.“
“The food is excellent and the place is very clean and beautiful, unfortunately the girl who served us has zero friendliness, to work in customer service even if you don't like it if or if you need to be friendly unless the customer is a bore it is the only way to understand such a pessimistic attitude.“
“Located in the Bishop Arts District, we had trouble finding an open restaurant on a Saturday evening at 8:30pm. After being turned away from a restaurant 20 minutes before their posted closing time, we walked into Gloria's. Alhough it was only 15 minutes before vlosing, their staff was happy to accommodate us. And with a smile!Being late, we quickly ordered. We got the carne asada plate & chicken enchilada plate. Wow! Both were DELICIOUS! The carne asada was accompanied with black beans, rice & fried plaintains. I was surprised to get 3 enchiladas stuffed with well-seasoned shredded chicken, topped with a yummy sour cream-based sauce. This plate was accompanied by a white rice & black beans. My serving was so large, I brought leftovers home to eat the next day. Our friend got a tamale plate & enjoyed it also.We highly recommend this wonderful find! Thanks to the staff at Gloria's for letting us into the restaurant so close to closing time.“
“Came to dinner with my lovely girlfriend had Joshua as our server, Who is absolutely amazing, very attentive, and also suggested a few items on the menu because I started a new diet. Worked with me on helping me the perfect meal. I highly recommend one of my favorite spots in town and make make sure you ask for Joshua.“
“Awful location, but good food. Situated in the armpit of a seedy strip center.Sandwiches actusly have freshly cooked meats. Fries are browned, kind of soggy and have a sweet and salty taste going on. Still not too sure how I feel about that.“
“Overall excellent experience. The food is made to order and served piping hot and very well seasoned. Big plus. It did not require any extra seasoning at the table. Great environment for a date night or family dinner. The staff is very attentive with a smile.“
“Went for an early lunch, lunch menu says $8.99 for the plate that I ordered, but when I got the check it was a dollar more, and they charged me $4 for a side of cheese !?!? So after tax, like $15 bucks for a small “lunch special”! Got the Birria buy the way (goat meat), way to salty, couldn’t finish it, even after drowning it in sauce, onions and cilantro, still way to salty, couldn’t finish it!“
“This was my first time dinning in at this location. My waitress was nice and professional. The new Prickly Pear margarita drink was nice. I had 2 of those and a Jameson with cranberry juice as well as water with lemon. I got the combination plate I believe it’s called. It was delicious and a good sized portion. I do wish the salsa wasn’t so tomato-y. The ambiance is lovely and the restaurant was clean.Parking: The parking is in a parking garage shared with an apartment complex. The valet was complimentary when I visited. They park your vehicle and bring it to you after you give them the ticket paper. The street is free & paid. Please read the signs and park accordingly.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcomed here.Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are big enough for a wheelchair to fit through easily. I’m not sure about available handicapped parking because you have to park in a parking garage and the valet is complimentary (at least when I visited it was). I do have a handicapped tag. Valet parked the vehicle and brought it to me when I left the restaurant. You have to go up a small hill from the parking garage to get onto a narrow sidewalk to then get into the restaurant because it’s downtown.“
“Always attentive staff. Good drinks. Strong margaritas start you off just right. I love the queso and they will let you add in anything you want, steak, Ground Beef, sour cream, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, you name it. The chips are served warm and are thin and crispy but hearty enough to stand up to the queso without breaking.“
“Just had a wonderful experience at Payless store followed by a delicious meal at La Pasadita!Firstly, at Payless, I found exactly what I was looking for with ease. The store had a great selection, and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure I had everything I needed, and I left feeling satisfied with my purchase. After shopping, I headed to La Pasadita for some authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the smell of sizzling fajitas greeted me as I walked in. I ordered their famous carne asada tacos, and they were phenomenal - flavorful, tender, and served with all the traditional fixings. The service was excellent, and the staff made sure my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.Overall, it was a fantastic day - great shopping at Payless followed by a delicious meal at La Pasadita. I can't wait to do it all again!“
“We went on a Saturday evening on a weekend that appeared to be hosting a soccer game or tournament. It was extremely packed. It was chaos. The food was great and while the wait staff was nice they were very short on help. Two servers for about 13 tables and there seemed to be no method to taking the plates to the right tables. We were in no hurry so we sat patiently and enjoyed our food once it came. Kudos to the younger waitress with glasses and dark hair.....she really ran herself into the ground and never appeared frazzled. Would def go back....on a less busy day preferably.Tajadas con Carne molidaCarne AsadaPastelitos and Pupusas“
“Just ate here for the first time a few days ago! Loved everything! I don’t speak any Spanish but when I saw the menu was only in Spanish that was a hint for me that the food would be good! The staff was bilingual however and luckily so was my supervisor that took me. That staff is VERY hospitable, friendly, welcoming and the food is amazing! I had a fajita plate that I’m craving as I type this! I’ll definitely be making multiple visits to their establishment!“
“Caters to all & all pocket books! This is my favorite place to get coffee and my vegan empanadas! Incredible service. The staff is absolutely wonderful and attentive! I get an iced caramel white mocha with oatmilk & cinnamon added! This tastes to much flavorful than the well known Seattle based coffee. The coffee here is smooth and roasted to perfection. Give this place a try I'm literally waiting for 9am to get here so I can get my coffee and breakfast!!!“
“If you love, authentic Mexican food, you definitely will dig this place. I had the Menudo which is only offered on Sunday. It was perfect. Went here with my brother when he was on his way out of town. He loved all the food he got as well. Salsa is amazing! Service was great.“
“ZAMBO's.... what a food nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Pardon me, I'm Jamaican... lol). You know we like our food seasoned and flavorful and Zambo's hit the spot! It was one of the top 3 places I've eaten since being here, and I've had quite a bit of great food this past 5 weeks here in Dallas. Go to Zambo's..... I had 8 different items (beef n chicken samosas, beef stew, fried kale, the beans, zango (mixed meats), white sodza, and their fat cakes (dessert good with tea/ coffee)..... EVERYthing was good.... No..... Everything was GREAT and not too oily or too spicy!!!Please note that GPS will send you to the back of the glass building where other offices are. So it was confusing but I didn't give up cuz I wanted to try this place. Glad I drove around a bit til I saw the sign and the flag. Good job Zambo. Zimbabwean food has quickly become my preferred food over many other types. Great job representing your country. The food was FANNNNTASTIC!!!“
“I stopped by to use the restroom and grabbed a bottle of water and a milkshake out of gratitude as my truck was having a new muffler installed at the repair shop (Abel's) across the street. The pistachio almond milkshake was amazing! There were a lot of other delicious looking items, but I had already had breakfast shortly before I arrived.I may bring the family by so they can enjoy it before we conclude our stay in the area.Update: Went again and had the chance to enjoy the Elote en Vaso (street corn in a cup), I can't even describe how good it was except for the loud "mmmmm" I let out when I took my first bite. It was fantastic all the way to the last bite as well. Also had the fresh squeezed orange juice, and they really do mean fresh squeezed. I watched them cut and squeeze several oranges, and it tasted better than any orange juice I've ever had.“
“First time dining, sat on the patio to get fresh air. Zach was wonderful from start to finish especially with his recommendations. Food was really savory even the Octopus, ate it all! Thank you Chef. Moved indoors, where it was very dimly lit and comfy. But eventually moved upstairs, where it was chill until it became lively and fun atmosphere by the end of the night. David was quick to say hello and serve, great margarita recommendation since I didnt know the specific specialty drinks. Then "...ah" girl took over, I cant remember her actual name but she was attentive and can make a good green tea. Thanks for everything from beginning to end.Parking: I didn't park, but walked over from a nearby hotel. Super walking friendly. I'd say valet was as quick as can be given the busy circumstances.“
“What a neat little spot for Latin food! Felt like I was in another country. Coffee and enchiladas were fantastic. Def going back at some point. Just note it is very small and there are only a few tables. Quality > quantity at this place for sure.“
“Ok. New place to us. Tienda y Restaurante Latino. Josie had tortilla soup and I had Arroz Mixto, kind of a latin take on fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp and a fish fillet. I thought I tasted soy sauce but the owner said there wasn't. But it had have an oriental taste. The veggies are carrots, corn and onion with the addition of bell peppers and zucchini. The tortilla soup had more of a red broth like pazole or menudo than the usual chicken broth. It also had more actual chicken than Josie was expecting. Portions were such that we will both have another meal from it, though I COULD have eaten all of mine if I stuffed myself. Overall, much better than I thought when we first looked over the menu. Will definitely put this on our list of places to return to.“
“Wow wow wow!!! The food is amazing! Perfect portions, full in flavor, and their service and attentiveness was excellent!!! I will definitely recomendé and return. I ordered the parrillada for one, I tried their ceviche, mole enchiladas, and green chilaquiles!!!! Yummmmy!!! And their Jamaica mimosa was so good! The only reason why I gave atmosphere 4 stars it’s because it was a bit warm inside the restaurant.“
“Today my husband took us to eat at this place and we loved everything from the exquisite guacamole, my children ordered pupusas, a gringa, my husband some crispy flautas and some delicious tripe and trompo tacos, the trompo burger caught my attention and let me say it was delicious ???? I recommend this place 100% ?“
“Love the food, if you want a taste of South America, this is a great place! Tequeños, arepas and cachapas are one of my favorite! Today I tried the shrimp dish and I added plantains and it did not disappoint! Exquisite!!! Also, the caipirinhas and mojitos are on point made with real sugar?“
“Do not sleep on this small tortilleria. I've tried the menudo and it is tender. I went back the day after to try their flautas and it was amazing. I will return eventually to try the rest of the menu. And if the rest of the menu is as good as those flautas and menudo. They have a customer for life. Sad about the parking lot. Very small **“
“Great place to be, great food, good view great service. Very friendly staff. Our server Carlos very professional and helped us with our first time here. We also meet one of his worker Abraham very friendly both amazing atmosphere. We will be coming back and bringing coworkers.“
