“I was at Dennys 8.7.24 at 7 to 8 something. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the dining room was clean. The problem came when I was ready to check out. We had a coupon that states if I spend $30, you can get $10 off. In regard to the coupon, it allowed me to be able give the $10 that I would save to the server. When I went to check out the coupon would NOT take. (Keep in mind, I just got this coupon on Sunday when I left Dennys.) She called a manager, and the manager stated that she was NOT able to use my coupon because it was expired. I asked could she honor the coupon because I just got the coupon on Sunday. She stated, NO. Then she said that we had coupons on our ticket already. We had 3 meals, and 2 kid's meals and kids eat free after 4 p.m. I explained that is not what the coupon stated. Then she looked at the other coupons, which was the same coupons. She proceeds to remove the box and said that they were all expired and kept my coupon as well. I had to pay regular price $35 to pay the bill. was not happy about that at all. Also, a couple behind me had the same exact problem. I waited around to make sure she didn't honor their coupon, and she didn't. Now we all left out disappointed because we spent more to honor the coupon, and it wasn't valid. :(“

“Not only is Garden a spectacular dining experience whether it’s dinner or brunch it’s also an incredible venue for any small scale event. My daughter and her fiancés wedding shower was hosted there a couple of weeks ago and it was simply splendid! Truly couldn’t be topped. Thank you Garden!“

“My wife and I have been taking a tour of local businesses that serve breakfast. Dallas Diner has been on the list for some time, and the time came for us to check it out. When we got there, the weather was nice enough that we could sit outside. Service was quick and friendly. The staff could not have been nicer. Food was straight-forward and good, just the way you want a breakfast to be. Even with the street noise off of Northwest Highway, the experience wasn't ruined. If you want a great breakfast experience with great service from a honest-to-goodness killer staff, do yourself a favor & check out Dallas Diner. I know we were late to the game, so don't make the same mistake we made!“

“I really enjoyed my breakfast, my husband had the machaca con huevos. Meat was dry so the sub before serving with fajita meat. I had the chorizo huevos, both meals served with refried beans, rice or potatoes. Our meals were delicious. We had corn and flour homemade tortillas. Sauces were really good. This is a cash only place, GOOD FOOD, for small cost. Can't beat it.“

“I lived in Pleasant Grove in the late 1980s and early 1990s when this diner was called “The Grove.” I was a young kid at the time but have vivid memories of hanging out at the grove. My family used the Washateria a couple of doors down from The Grove and I have memories of running and playing in the alleyway behind the grove at the time. Even though I was young(4-5 years old) this was an eventful and pivotal time period for me as I ended up surviving a house fire on Pleasant Run drive one night. Due to the fire my family ended up moving to the Houston area where I have been pretty much ever since. This Saturday I returned to the Grove(now Tejanos) for the first time in about 37 years and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. Despite it being about 37 years since my last visit there(and a name change) the diner still looks almost exactly the same. Original time clock, milk fridge, pencil sharpener, bar, brick wall(although painted) and much more. You can still even see a faint hint of “The Grove” on the new sign that had Tejanos painted over it. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the best part… great food at a wonderful price! Mellissa provided great customer service as well and was a joy to visit with. Will definitely return next time I’m in Southeast Dallas!“
