“If I could give Zaap Thai Kitchen more than 5 stars, I would. Everything I’ve eaten here has been consistently so flavorful and authentic.

I love their Pad Thai - perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and always hits. I’m also obsessed with all of their curries. I’ve tried recreating them at home so many times and can never get the depth of flavor right. Theirs just has that rich, creamy, restaurant-quality taste you can’t replicate.

Their Tom Yum soup is another favorite - super aromatic. And the Laos papaya salad is a must if you like bold, punchy flavors.

My only small gripe is that portion sizes can be a little inconsistent depending on the day. But honestly, the flavor makes up for it every time.

He worked with me on the menu, options on pick-up or delivery, went over food allergies and specific details regarding vegetarian needs. He thought of everything I would need to know and helped me ensure our team had what they needed from a specific food perspective. “One of my family’s favorite Thai restaurants, Ginger Thai Restaurant on Mockingbird serves up deliciously flavorful cuisine with a large but well-executed menu! We recently ordered takeout and very much enjoyed it.

Pickup - We only order for pickup so I can’t speak to the ambience of the restaurant or the service provided by the staff while dining there. I also can’t speak to the delivery experience.

Our only mistake was sharing a few sips from my refillable cup with my friend. That's it! The manager overreacted, making a huge scene, even though I apologized and offered to pay for the additional drinks. We ended up paying for three extra drinks. I have the receipt to prove it. ** Yet, he still called the police on us! ** The police officer was literally laughing when we explained why the manager called him. Let me elaborate to make it clear that I'm not just biased against him. We were a group of six. Initially, we had a friendly guy at the counter who offered suggestions and helped us navigate the menu since we're not familiar with Thai food. However, the manager suddenly took over, removed the friendly staff member, and behaved erratically, as if he was drunk (though I'm not saying he was drunk). He refused to offer suggestions. When we asked like what manu is popular here, or what should we order, he said every time that thats our own choice. The waiter served our food quickly and then disappeared for the rest of our meal. He went out of the restaurant. The manager literally reminded us three times that the waiter was gone and that we should leave a tip on the counter for him if we wanted to. OMG!! It was as if it was a crime to start eating without giving a tip! When the manager noticed us sharing drinks from the refillable cup, he became rude and confrontational, saying it was against their store policy. I apologized and offered to pay for it, but one of my friends protested slightly, feeling humiliated by the manager's behavior.Then he got furious. He started shouting at us. We paid for the additional drink, didn't finish our food, and were ready to leave. However, I wanted to report his behavior, so I asked for his name. He refused to provide any information about himself or his superiors, repeatedly stating that he was the manager and the only one we could talk to. Then I tried to take a photo of him for our reference. He immediately called 911. He showed no respect or value for customers. This is not the kind of manager any restaurant would want! Absolutely the worst!“
