“Cozy lil family run restaurant, food was plentiful & spot on w loads of parking, strip mall setting type, got there late in evening so reason for service rating, they were in closing mode but didn't rush me, will return!
Vegetarian options: I believe food can be made to order
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly I'm sure but quiet, quaint place so no disruptive kids“

“Banana leaf Thai is the place to go! They offer amazing service, food, and catering options- my company orders from them regularly and the employees are always excited to see them back on our monthly menu. I am looking forward to using them as long as they stay open for business! Kameron and Steve are the best in the business.“

“Found maybe my new favorite Thai place! Got the chicken pad thai. Normally I don't get pad thai because they tend to be too sweet and I'm not a huge fan of most. But decided I was in the mood to try it so I could know if I could recommend it to a friend. It was good! Not too sweet, good flavor. Good portion size. Chicken was good too. About $15 before tax and tip. My friends got the green curry and pineapple fried rice and liked them too. Not the biggest restaurant but ample seating. I'm curious about the duck roti, other appetizers, and dessert! Definitely coming back“

The staff was super friendly as well. But wow the food was amazing! New go Thai spot!“

“Went for some Pho and was sadly disappointed in the selection here. I was thinking this was mainly a Pho restaurant and when I looked at the menu it seemed the Pho was more of an after thought. Ordered the beef Pho and overall it was good. The price seemed high for a medium sized bowl at $16 then $18 total with tip. If I’m looking for really good Pho I’ll stick with somewhere else in the future.“

“My husband has been to Thailand once and I have been twice and this is the closest tasting place we have found to authentic Thai food. It is not like traditional Thai restaurants with a spicy scale, as it is geared much more towards flavor. If you want to experience the spices of Thailand, and not just burn your mouth off, come here! We will be back!“

“?Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and the Mango and Sticky Rice are my favorites! I’m picky about drunken noodles and theirs was really good. The mango was fresh and perfect ripeness, and the sticky rice and coconut milk sauce were delicious. Order while it lasts since mango season is almost over. The host/waiter was very friendly and the wait time for takeout was only about 10-15 min. ??“

“Everything was so good and the chef/owner made everything to our liking. He is very open to feedback because he wants to make sure you love his food. He took the time to explain everything and listened to what we wanted and adjusted as necessary (made sure all the dishes I ordered were made vegetarian because sometimes they use oyster sauce in the dishes). I recommend asking for the fresh Thai chilies to make it spicy instead of the dry crushed pepper to add more flavor. That dessert was unexpectedly so good! I would come back to this family-owned restaurant for that alone. He explained that due to city regulations, he couldn’t get a sink bug enough and therefore had to use take-out and throwaway containers. I won’t dox him for that, but unfortunate for the environment. We got the: jungle curry (vegetarian), pad kee mow (vegetarian), pad see ew, pad Thai (vegetarian), stir fried vegetables, and the purple rice dessert. All delicious!“

“Best Thai place in DFW, don’t believe me come try it. Ordered classic pad thai, pad kee mow, Tom yum noodle soup and pot stickers as an appetizer. To drink , brown sugar boba and taro boba drink.
Other than the food being amazing, the small things that stick out: timing: order to the table, perfect. 10-15 min. Bringing water with boba drinks, awesome. The care the waiter/owner has on everything being a great experience. Overall great great great.
Bonus: let us try a new appetizer.“

“The food was absolutely wonderful but the service wasn’t good. He actually didn’t get my order right and when I went back to let the lady know she wouldn’t do anything about it. She said I have to wait for him to get there and he wasn’t first time actually eating there but the food was good so I’ll be back, but definitely check your food before you leave.“

“Thai restaurant in a strip mall. Restaurant is starting to get a little run down. Carpets need cleaning or replaced. Restrooms were very nice and clean. Service was very good. They have a very wide selection and my spicy Thai basil was very good. Spice levels are Thai hot. Recommend for good Thai dishes“

“First time coming to this place and I love it!
I ordered red curry. I chose #5 as a level of spicyness because I usually don't get them that hot at other places. My curry was actually SPICY, FLAVORFUL & DELICIOUS. I also ordered fresh shrimp rolls. Not disappointed at all. Can't wait to try out other dishes.“

“The food here is amazing and reasonably priced a good portion sizes. I really liked the curry that they had. Service is good. Only thing I did not like is that it is below ground dining in a little bit hard to find, but that is literally the only bad thing I can say. Other than that I would highly recommend them for excellent Thai food.“

“We had Asian Mint cater for our wedding, and it was a hit! We had someone pick up the food from Dallas to travel to Fort Worth. By the time the food was laid on our chafing kits, it was time for our guests to come in for the reception. Timing worked out well and the food was still warm. Our guests really enjoyed the food: spring rolls, pad thai, house fried rice, and red curry. We got to have a variety of proteins for each dish (keeping in mind the extra protein charge, we did a variety of tofu/vegetable or chicken/vegetable with beef or shrimp). There was a lot of food left over, so people got to take trays home. The price was what we expected, and the coordination we had with Mimi over email was prompt and detailed. That made everything feel a lot more secure, especially for a wedding. We appreciate the staff coming in early to cook and pack the delicious food to make our day special!
Vegetarian options: The tofu is amazing! The menu is super conscientious. That’s the nature of Thai food, but Asian Mint does a great job of being aware of dietary needs.“

“My 2nd time there in a month. Amazing Thai food and friendly, attentive staff in a lush setting. My only ask would be that they play Thai music like Khun Narin or Cambodian music like Dengue Fever to compliment the theming and decor. But other than that, 5 stars!“

“Wonderful Hidden Gem !!!!
Was given a suggestion by a friend to give Bambu in Richardson a try if I enjoyed Thai food, which I do. Thought I would drop in for lunch today and found a "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson that everyone should put on their regular restaurant list.
Met at the front door with a fantastic greeter in a young lady that continued as our waitstaff throughout the meal and we could not have asked for better service - it was fabulous !
Now to the most important - the food, two dishes were ordered at our table and both of them went above board on appearance and taste. The first one was Panang Curry - we decided to order this on a spice level 2. You can order on spice levels 1-3. Our decision was perfect for our taste. Very spicy but not over the top that it masked the tastes of the ingredients which included Chicken, coconut milk, bell pepper, zucchini, kaffir lime leaves, Thai basil all swimming in a broth that was incredible. Off to the side was a mound of Jasmine Rice - our decision was to combine the two into one dish and what an amazing combination we achieved.
Our second dish was the Bambu Specialty Crab Fried Rice which came with just the right amount of ingredients of meat, egg, tomatoe, onion, and scallions. It came out as a fried rice dish that made a meal in itself with no need for any addition seasonings.
The owners of the establishment came over and introduced themselves to us due to the fact that we had been referred to them and they were so gracious and had their space so well decorated in the era to note not only present time asian cultures but past time asian cultures as well. The interior was very well done.
So if you have not found this "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson, venture off to the southeast corner of Coit/Campbell - trust me, you will not be disappointed !!“
