“Stopped in during peak lunch service in a Wednesday and they were packed. Even still, I was seated within 2 minutes. The food is excellent. I went with Panang Curry and “hot” heat level. It was the perfect lunch portion and lunch heat level.10/10, I’ll be back for sure“
“We happened upon the BEST Thai restaurant, Thai Soon, in Richardson! Portion size was great, a tiny but quaint place facing Coit Rd, just south of Beltline. Actual address is 101 S. Coit Rd, Suite 401. We always start off with spring rolls. If you want oil free you need to specify steamed tofu, not fried. I had the Cashew Nut Entree with Brown rice that was heaping with fresh veggies ! I had a spice level of 3 and it was perfect for my spicy palate. Pat chose a Pad Thai with Veggies as well. Both of us agreed that it was the best Thai food we have ever had in Dallas (and we have frequented many)! We followed up with Purple Sticky Rice for dessert, and it was a 10/10! Not the right season for Mango Sticky Rice, so we tried something new, and cannot wait to return! Prices very reasonable as well! You won’t regret a visit to Thai Soon In Richardson.Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu in most all dishes. Just be sure to tell them that you are Vegan and cannot eat any animal products.“
“What a fantastic delight to find this restaurant! I ordered all to go, the yellow curry & jasmine rice, chicken coconut soup, crab ragoons, tofu pad Thai, summer shrimp rolls and the melon green tea. Everything was delicious and rich but healthy. Perfect amount of spices and flavors. We will be back to dine in for dinner in the future. Utensils were given and everything was packed safely so no leaks or spilling. I subscribed to chef Nikki's YouTube channel too. Stoked about the cookbook to soon be released! The gentleman that took my order was a gem, everyone greeted me with friendly attitudes and attention. Thank you Asian Mint! Now I'll only eat Thai food at a different place if I'm downtown, happy to have you guys close to home.“
“We love coming to this place over and over. The taste is always consistent. During today’s trip our server was Tagi, he recommended a new dish that we have never tried before, Bangkok Delight Fried Chicken, and it was amazing. This place is 10/10 and the service was delightful. Thank you Tagi!“
“Get the Herb Chicken Fried Rice. It's the best fried rice I've had in Dallas hands down! The Basil Fried Rice is also super good if you don’t want fried chicken, highly recommend! The Pad Kee Mow and Pad See Ew are pretty good if you're in the mood for noodles.“
“I love hanging out with friends at Bambu. We had fresh conch larb (off menu special) ... so yummy! We also have oyster salad, creamy Pacific Coast oysters tossed in a spicy-citrus dressing with fried onions and garlic. The Pad Kee Mao Boran is always a go-to for me - fresh, thick rice noodles with its aromatic "wok" char. We also have a bottle of 2016 Twommey Merlot, always love exploring their wine menu - very extensive and diverse.“
“Vegans and Vegetarians rejoice! Pinto Thai was made for us! There are so many choices! I usually get the fresh rolls as an appetizer and then follow up with some red curry or spicy Thai basil. Watch out! When you give them the spice level, they listen. Don't feel you need to amp it up.This is my go to takeout Thai spot.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians have MORE options here than omnivores!“
“First time here and I was really impressed. I always try the chicken pad Thai at new Thai places as a reference and it was delicious. I also had the duck roti and the Tom kha soup. Everything was fresh, aromatic, and tasty. The Thai tea was made right. The service here is outstanding. I was greeted with a smile, sat down and served immediately. The place is a bit small but worth every visit. Will definitely be back.“
“I used Banana Leaf for catering an event for 100+ people and it was very successful. Everyone raved about the quality and quantity of the food and went back many times for more food. Steve and Kameron are very friendly and professional They and their team delivered and set up everything 15 minutes earlier than the expected time so everything was good to go on time. I highly recommend them to cater your next event! Of course I also recommend going to restaurant for a meal or ordered to go as I've enjoyed their food this way for many years.“
“Khao-soi Curry noodles with the beef shank would highly recommend everything is fresh and packs an immense deep flavor. The dish has a lot of different textures that balance the eachother very well. Be mindful of the spice levels. The owner gave us some Thai sweet tea to help cool down another heavy hitter. Definitely need to try them.“
“There are levels to Thai cuisine- I’ve stuck to pad thai tried many places around DFWHere’s the thing- I actually taste my noodle ( each stands) and feels like the chef personally blessed -The food is always freshOne of my favorites thai places“
“Top notch! I came in at 3:30pm during a weekday so if it's that fresh during those dead hours I would think it's just as good during peak hours. This is some really good sushi! Very fresh salmon sashimi, the woman at the counter is very sweet and attentive, and I've felt some real VIP experience eating there. 14 bucks well spent I believe!Vegetarian options: Vegan cream cheese when indicatedParking: Restaurant parking is clearly labeled for the restaurant.“
“Lemme just start by saying I don’t even like Thai food. Anyways my girlfriend and I looked up places to eat near by and found this spot. We called on a Saturday, they said they weren’t too busy and can accommodate us even if we show up late. We arrived at 8:25 PM not knowing what time they closed… they closed at 9. I felt bad knowing they closed soon but the two people in the store didn’t seem to care. They greeted us and helped us out without any attitude. Then came the food, we got tom yum soup with tofu, duck curry, papaya salad, and one more dish I don’t remember the name, but they were peak. I mean I’ve never had Thai food that I liked to this extent. I tried the Tom yum soup and was like ima need another Togo. I’m telling you best Thai food ever. Also Thai tea 10/10.We will come here every time we visit Dallas. I called my mom to tell her how good this place was.“
“Saw this restaurant shared in a FB community group and gave them a try.The food is very good and has a lot of flavor! I got the Ginger Thai lunch special that came with a spring roll as we as a Mangonada (aka chamoyada) drink. The pricing was reasonable, and I’m excited to try the curry next !“
“Friday evening date night with the wife. Very clean, the menus are extremely easy to understand and very well crafted. She had the pad Thai, I had the pad Si Ew with beef. Would definitely go back try a few more the appetizers in the future. She really liked the curry puffs. The bang bang shrimp was interesting. Crispy thin noodles fried and wrapped around a shrimp.“
“Excellent atmosphere, nice and quiet, warm lighting. I had the citrus beef, which was delicious. My wife really enjoyed the yellow curry w chicken, and my daughter enjoyed the pad Thai. The place wasn't busy at all, which is probably why it was quiet, but that also meant that our service was very prompt. There was a bit of a language barrier, but our waitress was patient and kind as we worked that out.“
“Food was excellent and service was initially good. Me and another couple were the only ones in the restaurant and after receiving my appetizer and drink my server disappeared and I wasn’t checked on again. I had to go to the bar to just cash out. I left and went somewhere else which makes me sad because the food was amazing.“
“The staff is so friendly every time I come in. Everything that I've had has been full of flavor and tasted very fresh. The egg rolls remind me of my grandmother's which is always hard to compare. One of my favorite dishes is spicy Thai beef salad. If you're looking for something light and refreshing, this is something I highly recommend . give this adorable spot a try ☺️ if you do I'm sure you'll come back“
“I recently enjoyed an amazing takeout experience from Saucy Thai in Plano that absolutely deserves a 5-star review! Every dish I ordered was a culinary delight, showcasing the authentic Thai flavors Saucy Thai is known for. The Tom Kha soup was the perfect starter, with its rich coconut broth and tangy flavors warming me from the first sip. The Kao Soi was a standout, its savory broth and tender noodles offering a true taste of Northern Thailand. The Pad Thai, a classic favorite, did not disappoint either, with its perfect balance of sweet, sour, and umami flavors. The Spicy Noodle Pad Kee Mao and Basil Fried Rice were both vibrant and flavorful, packed with fresh ingredients that spoke to the quality of the food. Not to be overlooked, the Dumplings, Crispy Spring Rolls, and Spicy Edamame were delicious appetizers that started the meal off right. Picking up my order was a breeze, and everything was packaged neatly, ensuring that the food remained hot and fresh until I could enjoy it at home. Saucy Thai in Plano has definitely earned a spot at the top of my list for exceptional Thai cuisine to-go!Vegetarian options: All dishes can be made with Tofu or VegetablesDietary restrictions: They customize as needed. We asked for no tofu and no egg for the basil fried rice!“
“Best Lao and Thai restaurant in the dallas fort worth area. The first time I tried it, the food was so good I had to come back again the next day. Customer service was hands down the best ive received in a while. 100% will a new go to spot in the “
“Great food--great service! We ordered twice this month and were blown away both times. The Pad See EW and Basil fried rice are items that you MUST TRY! We had a very minor issue with Uber Eats, but Sam at Thai Orchid worked things out for us. We are VERY satisfied!Dietary restrictions: Food is spiced to order.“
“One of my favorite restaurants and for sure for thai/lao food! Been going here for years and highly recommend the spicy lao sausage, combo pad see ew, and beef laab :3 my friends that like drunken noods also approve. thai tea is also yummy!“
“Great place for Thai food. They're honest about their spice ratings, so pay attention. I've sweated through more than one shirt here, but I like the heat. I've eaten in and grabbed it to go. It travels well if you need to grab it to go.“
“The veggies and tofu was very flavorful and yummy! Also, their crab and cream cheese rolls are heavenly. The sauce they serve them with was very good but I like the sweet chili sauce with them a little better. The staff is very sweet and the food came out very quick!“
“Had a great experience here! The service was great and attentive and the food was delicious! The portions were appropriate sizes, not too much and not too small. The house beer was awesome and the press sugar cane was wonderful. The food was delicious and perfectly spicy.Vegetarian options: Most of the items are vegetarian friendly or can be made that way, since everything is a scratch kitchen. The staff was knowledgeable on different kinds of vegetarians and what sauces were appropriate.“
“I don’t know where to start. The theme of the whole experience was “Addictive”.3 diverse food items, each of them sparked when I took a bite. That tuna tower looks heavenly, tastes even better. After the first bite we devoured it. The Tom Kha was flavorful. The crispy pad Thai was so unique.“
“Hidden spot, I drove by for years not knowing it was there, with the best Thai food I have found in Dallas (or a lot of other cities). Like everyone else, the Drunken Noodles are a go to favorite but don't sleep on the amazing Tom Yum soup, Thai Dumplings or Curry. The staff is very friendly and even when you order delivery if you have special instructions they always pay attention to the detail. Go in, order delivery, whatever it takes. Just try them.“
“Had an amazing dinner at this place today! The staff made me feel incredibly welcome right off the bat, setting the stage for a fantastic meal. I went for the crispy beef, and it did not disappoint—crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and just packed with flavor. It's clear they know what they're doing with Asian cuisine. In short, great vibes, amazing food, and I'm definitely coming back for more.“
“Such a cute Asian fusion restaurant. Why didn’t I know about it before? It is a must try.I got the fried vegetable egg rolls and red curry. Both dishes were so fresh and delicious. The staff were so nice as well. They have an amazing bar and beautiful Asian portraits.“
“Have ordered to-go here twice now and both times the food was fantastic! The most flavorful Thai food we've had in Dallas, and we've tried quite a few places here over the years! Recommend the Pad Thai with chicken, Panang Curry with chicken, Green Curry, and the Thai Chicken Crispy rolls! My wife also really loved the Taro Smoothie! Highly recommend if you like authentic and flavorful Thai food!“
“The food is authentic and the portions are generous. My two (male) companions were able to finish their meals, but I didn't and was offered a box to take home the leftovers. The Thai fried rice was even better the next day. I will be back!“
“This was my go-to Thai place for almost 5 years, and I never once had a bad meal there. I recently moved out of state, and I have yet to find a replacement that even comes close. I loved their food, especially their Pad Woon Sen noodles (no tomatoes, chicken cooked extra well done). Every dish I ever got there was extremely good, including their curries! They will be a stop I make when I come back to visit.“
“First time here for lunch with my sister and niece. We were hungry from marathon shopping and decided we needed some Thai food. The service was great and they were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The restaurant is small and cozy. The menu has a huge variety of dishes although many of them are quite similar. Our food was served quickly and came out nice and hot. The food itself, however, was pretty bland and lacked much of a flavor profile. I was surprised by this. My sister liked her food (shrimp) but said that the shrimp was a little overcooked. She loved her Thai Tea! My niece who is vegan enjoyed her vegetables, rice and tofu. I had the beef, vegetables and rice and was just not impressed. It was bland, the beef was tough and the veggies needed more cooking time. Rice was okay. I felt the prices were too high for what we got. If the food had been excellent, I would have been okay with the high prices. I still feel like this was a decent 4 star overall experience based on the nice people who work there and the excellent service we received.Dietary restrictions: Nice vegan options.“
“Tried this place for the first time a few days before Christmas. It was completely empty. They sat us and were gracious but made us aware that they were closing early. My companion and I quickly placed an order and the dishes arrived swiftly. They were absolutely delicious!! Loved the various vegetarian options on the vast menu. The spring rolls were yummy and the Thai tea so refreshing! We asked for level 3 spicy but it seems like Level -1. Hope to come back on my visit to Dallas!“
“This is a small but quant corner, you have a variety of stores Tom Thumb being one of them. Then you have numerous eating places like on the border, some kind of Chinese one on the same square as On The Border and many others. Plus you have Chase Bank. You can get in and out from three different sides, coming off of the Dallas Tollway, Parker road or the first street after the Tollway. Makes it convenient and fast to get in and out of there.“
“Our two curry dishes were tasty and hot. Service was very fast at noon on a Saturday. The interior looks nice and the price was reasonable, $28 for both, including tax. Large portion sizes. Good location at Forest Lane and Marsh Lane. The only negative was that the sauce was a little watery. We have eaten Thai food for 30 years and this was above average.Parking: It's a strip mall anchored by a major grocery store with hundreds of parking spots.“
“I ordered this from Uber eats for delivery. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, Pot stickers, and egg rolls. Holy effing **** this place rules. Like really really rules. Please never shut your doors and thank you. Feel free to tell me what to try next “
“Best Laos AND best overall Thai food I've had period. People giving this place less than five stars are literally crazy! ? Like every truly good Thai place yes the outside is a little dingy. But as soon as you walk through the door it's a little cluttered but clean, tidy, lots of beautiful living plants growing, tasty homemade treats for sale up front. To me that homey atmosphere is all the more magical and authentic! Even then I'd be happy to eat this food sitting on the curb! It's so delicious. Well spiced and seasoned, plenty of vegetables, aromatics, meats, and insanely low prices for the quality and quantity of food you're getting. We got a truly delicious pad sea ew (my one year old absolutely decimated this), the lao curry crispy rice salad (don't miss out on this dish and it's the best I've ever had) and these truly spectacular tapioca balls filled with sweet savory pork peanut filling and topped with garlic crisps. I've never had them before and the texture and flavor were absolutely divine. Trumps any dumpling! I can't wait to come back and try their pad Thai. Usually pad Thai from restaurants is a disappointment but I just KNOW it's going to be legit. We also snatched up some coconut layer cake on the way out which I'm enjoying as I RAVE about this place. So warm gooey, creamy, chewy, not too sweet. Probably best I've ever had too. Honestly I can't wait to come back, we're SO excited we found this gem!“
“Was in the neighborhood for something else. Searched for a Thai restaurant to feed four and found this place on Google and decided to try it. Food was tasty and what was impressive were two things. One the fried egg on top of the noodles and the price of around $50 with tax for four entrees which is hard to come by now-a-days although there is no-dine in.“
“My go to Thai takeout place since moving here in 2019. I never get photos of the food because I inhale it so fast- it's that good. My order is crab wontons, Tom Kha soup, and either red or green curry! The spice level is customizable and the dishes are so rich and comforting. Next time you're wanting a night on the couch with take out- order this!“
“Curry was smooth and the meat was tender. The pad Thai noodles offered lots of flavors and were well balanced. They were able to adjust spice levels perfectly and offered additional sauces. The restaurant is a bit small but there are good seating options. The menus were an interesting touch. They were like passport books and had all the ingredients and pictures if you were unfamiliar.“
“Great service from the moment we stepped in. We were seated immediately. A server brought over a hot bowl of vegetable soup. (Great on a cool day, like today.) The food was great. The medium was spicy, but not overly hot. The mango, sticky rice dessert was delicious. The servers worked together to make sure that everyone was taken care of. It was worth the drive.Parking: Limited number of free spots in this little strip. You may also score a spot on the street.“
“I don't have to eat halal but I was excited when I heard this place was halal. Every single Thai place I've eaten at that is halal has amazing food. The atmosphere service and food is amazing. If you like Thai food don't miss out on this place.“
“Tried this restaurant on my trip to Dallas. We ordered Vegetable Penang Curry, Vegetable Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Thai. The food was delicious. I ordered spice level of 3 out of 5 with 5 being the spiciest though one of my friend ordered the Penang Curry with 4 spice level. 3 spice level was mild and perfect for me.The service was great and we got our entrees on time. The server even helped us clicking a picture for us.The ambiance was decent.I would highly recommend this place and must try if looking for a good Thai place! A+ Star“
“I am absolutely astounded that this place didn't have more customers here. The food was wonderful. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. I guess having a bar next door didn't help with parking, but even still worth trying to get here. I went back a second time just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Ordered Thai Ginger Chicken with extra ginger the second round. First was a Pad Thia.“
“They have the best service. The guy knew that we were muslims and he gave us these before its time to break our fast and he was so nice saying how much time we have left. The food was really good too, and there cinnamon fried icecream is the best.“
“I had an outstanding experience at this Thai restaurant! The ambience is superb, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The chicken satay with peanut sauce is a must-try, and the spring rolls paired perfectly with the diverse spicy sauces, especially the chilli oil sauce. The red curry was delicious, and the smoked flavor in the pad see ew was delightful. Exceptional fried rice and can't wait to mention the absolutely delicious mango ice cream, adding a delightful sweet touch to the overall experience.“
“Picked up order of Pad Thai chicken and Yellow Curry tofu.My hubby and I recently moved to this area and were eager to find a Thai restaurant for our go-to meal of Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. We’re both from Dallas and familiar with all the popular Thai restaurants in the city. However, since moving to downtown Dallas, ZAAP Kitchen was the closest to our house and we were pretty hungry!Decided to give it a shot due to the good reviews. I was skeptical since I didn’t know if it was mostly whyte people posting reviews; people with bland palates. My hubby and I are both native to Dallas and are Mexican American so we love flavorful and spicy dishes; we’re partial to our Thai brothers’ and sisters’ cuisine.I was not expecting much since we’ve dined at most all the Thai restaurants in the downtown area and were not very impressed with the taste. However, this place offers TASTY dishes! I was blown away at the flavors and the spice levels offered. We’ve only tried the popular Pad Thai and Yellow Curry dishes but are excited to come back!! I’m eager to try their other dishes. You will not be disappointed!“
“Food was on point Laotian food. Perfect balance of flavor. We had the Lao fried rice, Kapoon, beef jerky, sticky rice and Thai tea. Everything replicate the taste of soul food. Definitely will come back. On sunny days don't sit by the windows it can get hot. Otherwise it was a great experience.“
“My first time to have dinner at Bangkok at Beltline last night, March 20, 2024. Delicious food, beautiful plate presentation, excellent service, and nice tables with white cloth napkins and silverware. Let me share with you what menu items I ordered and how fresh, hot, and scrumptious they each were: 1. Thai Steamed Dumplings with a tasty sauce to dip 2. Crispy fried Corn Patties with a sweet and sour sauce topped with a few cucumbers and crushed peanuts and 3. Green Curry with white rice . I ordered my Curry medium spicy and it was so delicious! Fresh and hot! The white rice was molded into the shape of a butterfly with colorful orange strings of carrots and a spring of herbs leaves… very nice touch! I enjoyed my dinner with a nice glass of Chardonnay! I will definitely return to this Thai restaurant! Thank you all for a wonderful dining experience!“
