“My go-to order is Pad Woo Sen with beef; spice level 2; and a classic milk tea. It’s my comfort food and they make it perfectly. I’ve always wanted to try their vast tea menu; but nervous to possibly get something I wouldn’t like. For my birthday my son worked with the team to order 12 varieties of tea, most with different boba toppings. We had a great time trying new things in a smaller size cup my son brought in and the team was awesome working with the “try new things!” goal. My new favorite will be the honeydew melon milk tea with tapioca! It was amazing. I am so grateful that they helped us have this wonderful experience for my birthday with my son.“

“Related to Thai cuisine nearby to me, this one has some of the best that I can get. While other places are not bad, this one I keep coming back to. If you like spicy, they can deliver a rather solid punch, but they can also prepare many of the dishes without the heat, and they are still rather good. My favorite dish is, hands down, the Green Curry.
Parking: There are parking spaces directly in front, but one of the main entrances goes in front and so it can be difficult at times to get back out of the space.“

“It's a small hole-in-the-wall place that does a busy takeout business, but they have a dozen tables. It's a family operation with Mom manning the register and serving, but sometimes you'll get one of the 2 daughters.
The food is good, served hot and fresh.“

“Banana leaf Thai is the place to go! They offer amazing service, food, and catering options- my company orders from them regularly and the employees are always excited to see them back on our monthly menu. I am looking forward to using them as long as they stay open for business! Kameron and Steve are the best in the business.“

“This place is a hidden treasure! Small spot with exceptional service and food! Tried the thai tea and the coffee, & it was delicious! I had the spicy tung tac and it was perfection! Will definitely be back on our soccer weekends in Mckinney!
Kid-friendliness: Great options and all kids meals come with icecream, was a huge hit!“

“Seriously good Tom Yum, seriously! By far the best Tom Yum I’ve had. I can only compare it to Nara in Chiang Mai and this place is just as good if not better. My friends got pineapple fried rice and pad kee mow, it took all I got to not reach over and grab their food too because it looked so good and my friends loved it so much they didn’t offer me a taste. And the corn patties were a hit with the 2 toddlers at the table. Everyone was super happy“

“Went for some Pho and was sadly disappointed in the selection here. I was thinking this was mainly a Pho restaurant and when I looked at the menu it seemed the Pho was more of an after thought. Ordered the beef Pho and overall it was good. The price seemed high for a medium sized bowl at $16 then $18 total with tip. If I’m looking for really good Pho I’ll stick with somewhere else in the future.“

“Everything was so good and the chef/owner made everything to our liking. He is very open to feedback because he wants to make sure you love his food. He took the time to explain everything and listened to what we wanted and adjusted as necessary (made sure all the dishes I ordered were made vegetarian because sometimes they use oyster sauce in the dishes). I recommend asking for the fresh Thai chilies to make it spicy instead of the dry crushed pepper to add more flavor. That dessert was unexpectedly so good! I would come back to this family-owned restaurant for that alone. He explained that due to city regulations, he couldn’t get a sink bug enough and therefore had to use take-out and throwaway containers. I won’t dox him for that, but unfortunate for the environment. We got the: jungle curry (vegetarian), pad kee mow (vegetarian), pad see ew, pad Thai (vegetarian), stir fried vegetables, and the purple rice dessert. All delicious!“

“Wonderful Hidden Gem !!!!
Was given a suggestion by a friend to give Bambu in Richardson a try if I enjoyed Thai food, which I do. Thought I would drop in for lunch today and found a "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson that everyone should put on their regular restaurant list.
Met at the front door with a fantastic greeter in a young lady that continued as our waitstaff throughout the meal and we could not have asked for better service - it was fabulous !
Now to the most important - the food, two dishes were ordered at our table and both of them went above board on appearance and taste. The first one was Panang Curry - we decided to order this on a spice level 2. You can order on spice levels 1-3. Our decision was perfect for our taste. Very spicy but not over the top that it masked the tastes of the ingredients which included Chicken, coconut milk, bell pepper, zucchini, kaffir lime leaves, Thai basil all swimming in a broth that was incredible. Off to the side was a mound of Jasmine Rice - our decision was to combine the two into one dish and what an amazing combination we achieved.
Our second dish was the Bambu Specialty Crab Fried Rice which came with just the right amount of ingredients of meat, egg, tomatoe, onion, and scallions. It came out as a fried rice dish that made a meal in itself with no need for any addition seasonings.
The owners of the establishment came over and introduced themselves to us due to the fact that we had been referred to them and they were so gracious and had their space so well decorated in the era to note not only present time asian cultures but past time asian cultures as well. The interior was very well done.
So if you have not found this "Hidden Thai Gem" in Richardson, venture off to the southeast corner of Coit/Campbell - trust me, you will not be disappointed !!“

“We have been to most of the locations and this one has got to be the best one. For the last few times we have had Shreya, whom is an amazing worker that truly cares about the customers. She is very attentive and kind and really goes out of her way to make sure that we have everything. Her simile and personality really make up for everything and I highly recommend her to everyone. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Thai restaurant in a strip mall. Restaurant is starting to get a little run down. Carpets need cleaning or replaced. Restrooms were very nice and clean. Service was very good. They have a very wide selection and my spicy Thai basil was very good. Spice levels are Thai hot. Recommend for good Thai dishes“

“The food is great here! I really enjoy their chicken fried rice! Their pad Thai is quite exceptional as well. Lots of good options here. Last time I visited their AC was broken and the window blinds were open so it was incredibly hot in there but hopefully that’s changed now!“

“Customer service was amazing, and the orange chicken I ate was very good. The orange chicken sauce is slightly sweeter and citrusy than a sauce you‘d taste at Panda Express, but I enjoyed it. I also loved the small size of the restaurant, and the atmosphere.“

“Absolutely terrible manager! Please avoid this restaurant at all costs if you value good customer service. I'm still in disbelief! We ordered around $170 worth of food. Our only mistake was sharing a few sips from my refillable cup with my friend. That's it! The manager overreacted, making a huge scene, even though I apologized and offered to pay for the additional drinks. We ended up paying for three extra drinks. I have the receipt to prove it. ** Yet, he still called the police on us! ** The police officer was literally laughing when we explained why the manager called him. Let me elaborate to make it clear that I'm not just biased against him. We were a group of six. Initially, we had a friendly guy at the counter who offered suggestions and helped us navigate the menu since we're not familiar with Thai food. However, the manager suddenly took over, removed the friendly staff member, and behaved erratically, as if he was drunk (though I'm not saying he was drunk). He refused to offer suggestions. When we asked like what manu is popular here, or what should we order, he said every time that thats our own choice. The waiter served our food quickly and then disappeared for the rest of our meal. He went out of the restaurant. The manager literally reminded us three times that the waiter was gone and that we should leave a tip on the counter for him if we wanted to. OMG!! It was as if it was a crime to start eating without giving a tip! When the manager noticed us sharing drinks from the refillable cup, he became rude and confrontational, saying it was against their store policy. I apologized and offered to pay for it, but one of my friends protested slightly, feeling humiliated by the manager's behavior. Then he got furious. He started shouting at us. We paid for the additional drink, didn't finish our food, and were ready to leave. However, I wanted to report his behavior, so I asked for his name. He refused to provide any information about himself or his superiors, repeatedly stating that he was the manager and the only one we could talk to. Then I tried to take a photo of him for our reference. He immediately called 911. He showed no respect or value for customers. This is not the kind of manager any restaurant would want! Absolutely the worst!“

“I have eaten at the McKinney location several times and it is always awesome. Since I live closer to the Frisco location, I stopped today for take out. The food was not as good as the McKinney location. I always get the Teriyaki Chicken and today the sauce was not thick - like a glaze - as it is at the McKinney location. It was so thin it was like pouring water over the chicken. I was very disappointed! I hope the Frisco can do better with the sauce.“

“What such a delicious menu! When we walked in the decorum and the atmosphere are so handsome, pretty and relaxing, the background music is wonderful and the seating is terrific! You begin with a really wonderful wait staff who know and eat the menu so they’re very knowledgeable and helpful with your decisions of what to eat! and the chefs are so masterful that every dish has been some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I’ve ever had or we’ve ever had you feel good about the food 11
Vegetarian options: You must come and try all the foods that you like if you’re a vegetarian, like my wife and I are, and once in a while, I ate a little meat, and there is plenty to eat because the protein you would choose would be either vegetables or tofu! And you work from there!
Dietary restrictions: If there is something in any of the ingredients that you were restricted from eating, they will simply remove it for you before cooking your meal!
Parking: What is the tell, it’s a parking lot!
Kid-friendliness: Children are treated, just like adults!
Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking, and a wide front door and the parking has a ramp!“

“Prices are on par with other Chinese establishments in the area and yes, prices are a bit high overall. But, that’s just fast food in general, and $20 here will get you considerably more food than spending the same $20 on a burger or chicken finger restaurant. Been going here for years and always fast and fresh, with generous portions.“
