I’ve lived in this area for over 20 years and Cowboy Chicken has always been a favorite—until my visit last night at the W. Park Ave. location in Plano.
I walked in around 8:45 PM, and the moment I stepped through the door, the manager at the counter made it clear he was unhappy to see a customer before closing. When I greeted him and asked how he was doing, he snapped back, “Well, I’m here.”
I apologized for coming in 15 minutes before closing, placed my order, attempted Apple Pay (which I thought went through), and waited—as the only customer in the entire restaurant. After eight minutes, the manager suddenly called across the restaurant, “Miss McCoy, what are we doing here? I don’t have a payment from you.”
His tone was rude, condescending, and completely unnecessary. Instead of alerting me right away, he chose to watch me stand there and then embarrass me. When I asked for a manager, he informed me that he was the manager, which was even more shocking given how unprofessional he was.
I ended up leaving without my order because the way I was treated was unacceptable. If this location doesn’t want customers close to closing time, they should post an earlier closing hour. I will not be returning to this location after this extremely disrespectful experience.
This is not the Cowboy Chicken experience I’ve known for years, and I hope corporate addresses it quickly.

Hot rotisserie chicken and sides. I love that I can buy the whole chicken and have lunch for the week. Sometimes I get the sides and other tines I have my own sides at home. It's just convenient and the chicken taste very good. Reasonably priced for the times we're in. The cashiers are pleasant and helpful if you don't know the different combos you can order. The service is quick even when it's crowded.

Our favorites are the Cowboy slaw, plentiful garden salad, yummy peach cobbler, and choices of teas. Get the best deals by getting their app and joining the Rewards program. We love our Cowboy Chicken, and there are several to choose from in the Dallas TX area.
Food is amazing. The rotisserie chicken is the best with its juicy meat and crispy skin! All the sides are good but my favorites are the Mexican street corn and twice baked potatoes! The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Tony, the night supervisor is the best! He's great at his job and making sure everyone is taken care of.

I would give 1 star but the food was really good The service was terrible and the lady at the counter Diddnt even put my order in, I waited for 10min when it wasn't busy. The other lady put the order and got my food out right away but there is no excuse for poor service when your not busy.

Found this place out about 6-8 months ago and I can’t say enough about the food. LOVE the food. Ususally get the same whole chicken, mash potatoes, street corn, banana pudding we get more meals out of it so good.
