When thinking of jjajangmyeon(짜장면) & Jjamppong(짬뽕) there's only 1 place that's worth visiting, and that place is here.
I had heard the owner had changed, and went with a couple of friends to see if the food was as good as I remembered (it had been a year or two since I had last eaten). We went when it wasn't too busy, and the owner greeted us in person and was super cordial! We got the the usuals (as seen above) and ordered the Kkanpunggi(깐풍기) and the Tangsuyuk(탕수육). Needless to say those were flavorful as well, and my party exited well fed and content.
Next time I'll have to ask if they can open a location in Houston, so that I don't have to drive 5 hours for some good jjajangmyeon....

Hands down the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in Dallas! We visit from Boston often, and this place is always a must — amazing food, warm service, and genuine kindness every time.

This place is so good! I got the beef jjajangmyeon, and this is one of the only places that I found this dish served with different protein options. The food was so good and the workers were so kind! This was my first time going and the lady up front helped me order and clean up! Will be coming back!

Dong Chun Hong is a clean and honest self-service restaurant where you don’t feel pressured to tip. I really don’t understand the low ratings—once you try it, you’ll see how good it is. My favorites are the Jajangmyeon & Jjamppong combo and the Beef Brisket Jjamppong. Great food, fair prices, and straightforward service. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

I was a little hesitant to try this place when I read a few negative reviews after a change in ownership. My wife and I decided to have lunch recently and we were very happy with the food and the service.
For lunch, we ordered the Combo #4 (which is half jajiangmyeon and half tangsuyuk) and the samsun ganjajiang (similar to jajiangmyeon but freshly made to order with sautéed seafood and lots of onions).
Everything was delicious. The jajiangmyeon was good with ample amount of gravy and noodles. The tangsuyuk was fried to a perfect crisp and was served with a dipping sauce on the side. The ganjajiang was the standout. The noodles were nicely chewy, sauce was less heavy, and had plenty of seafood pieces.
The self-serve condiment bar has the yellow radish, sliced raw onions, water, and the utensils.
For those of you who were hesitant due to a change in ownership should give them a try. We thought the food was delicious and the prices/portions were excellent.

We have been going to this place for over 20 years. For us, this is by far the best place in DFW to get jajangmyun and tangsuyuk. I grew up in Korea and lived in NYC for 20+ years. Even with recent ownership change and obvious chef/cook/recipe changes, it is still great. This place is for those seeking quality & authenticity of the food, not atmosphere/ambiance or service (self service).

Delicious, Self-Service, Better than Paik's Noodle
My mom and I have been coming here occasionally for the past few months, and we were satisfied every time.
The food taste and portion size is good. The jjampong has more seafood than Paik's Noodle around the corner. The tangsuyuk is crispy.
They have a special going on, which makes it an even better value.
It is located next to Wicked Snow. Self-service so tipping is optional.

Food not as good as it used to be. This is a restaurant with food court service. Have to go up to order, pickup your food, and clean your table, and return the plates to a return shelf. Will not be visiting this place again.

Dong Chun Hong is a great spot for Korean-Chinese food! The dumplings were crispy and flavorful, and the black bean noodles were rich and satisfying. I especially loved the spicy stir-fried dish with the soft buns. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service — definitely worth a visit!

Everything we ordered was amazing! The jjajangmyeon had perfectly chewy noodles and rich, flavorful black bean sauce. The jjamppong was spicy and packed with seafood, and the chili shrimp was crispy with a tangy-sweet kick. Tangsuyuk was perfectly fried and stayed crunchy even after dipping in the sauce. The dumplings were juicy and delicious. Great portions, fast service, and everything came out hot and fresh. Will definitely come back!
