EL Rincon Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar - Carrollton Location

We ordered the mixed steak and chicken fajita it was delicious King sizzling on a platter we also enjoyed the outdoor seating a beautiful sunny day when my wife and I were there.

Writing this after leaving the restaurant, my partner and I have enjoyed going to El Rincon for date night for the past few years. Usually, when we arrive, the food and service are amazing. Unfortunately, I cannot say that was the case today. We arrived at 8:00 and noticed that the restaurant was empty, so we were seated pretty quickly. However, after that, no one came to check on us for almost 20 minutes. During that time, the table beside us complained to the manager about how long it took to get refills and that their food was cold. Another couple arrived after us and had already been greeted and received their drinks from the bar, while we still hadn’t seen a server. So we left and don’t think we will be back for a while.Forgot to mention that they cleaned our table immediately after we left like if they were doing it on purpose.

Cute location in the Carrollton downtown. Food/drinks were okay, service seemed a bit disorganized on a Saturday night.

We ordered a marg flight which was fun to try/ share - the pineapple-serrano marg was pretty good.

Chips and salsa were good! Pastor tacos pretty disappointing - not enough flavor/too much tortilla. Birria tacos were alright, although a bit dry - definitely needed to dunk them into the consomme.

Likely just an off night for the service this time (forgot utensils, slow to seat us despite many open tables, etc)

I would definitely recommend better Mexican food elsewhere, but could see myself coming here again for a casual bite and a drink.

First time here after reading great reviews However, online menu shows $10 for Verde enchiladas -- I paid $13.50. My friend also paid more than the online price. Chicken was very dry and tasted like it came out of a can.
Very good service and pleasant atmosphere, but will not return

Tex-Mex is an overcrowded genre and this place doesn't do much to stand out. Service was great. Food was really mid. I especially unrecommend the quesadilla. I think they used a sharp white cheddar cheese in it, and it wasn't a good choice.

Frozen guava margarita was ? tho.

I've spent three weeks in Carrollton, eaten at a different restaurant each night. This one is my favorite. Everything was great, even the rice and beans, even the churros, everything.

Margaritas! Their salsa is amazing!!! It's not bland and not too spicy. I'm not sure how many servings we ate, but quit a few. Lots of food options! We will definitely go there again!
