It should be renamed Panni Fried Skewers. It’s a lot different than before. The skewers are all fried too hard, dry and hard😵💫😵💫

I have seen this place for years now and finally got to try it. I don’t know what I expected but was sadly disappointed. I have not tried many skewer places so I’m not really sure what it’s suppose to taste like but it had a strong lighter fluid taste. You could see the chefs cooking it on a grill, so maybe it’s the seasoning that tastes like lighter fluid? Could just be us though, other tables did not seem to complain about it.

Bad service. Average food. Average atmosphere.
I recommend to go to See You Again instead.

The food is consistently excellent, the staff are warm and welcoming, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are great.
Our favorite is the lamb noodle soup, wonderful flavor with a mixture of mushrooms and hand-torn noodles. We love Fat Ni BBQ, and highly recommend this location especially.

I’m from Los Angeles and the last time I visited this store was 1 year ago with my girlfriend but at their Plano location… their food wasn’t great then but the lady that was working was really nice and we always believe in supporting small businesses… we saw that they opened a 2nd store and was excited to visit… we ordered a 36 beef noodle soup, 46 egg wheat starch noodle, lamb and chicken bone meat skewer…
Food
36 beef noodle soup: the noodles were ok over all… but the beef had literally 0 flavor… have to add chili oil for flavor
46 egg wheat starch noodle: boy this was the worst dish over all… it was so soggy, and I can literally see the noodles drowning in oil at the bottom of the plate like their oil was free or something.
Skewers: the skewers were fine… but their “chili powder” was not spicy at all…
Now service: now this is a good one… for the table next to us (5 people), the server would still know how to go greet them with a smile and ask if everything was good. We literally had 0 check ups, which i wish they did so i could let them know how much oil and soggy their starch noodle was. I used to work In restaurant industry as well so basic manners and “thank you” is just very normal for me… but surprisingly not from them and if i remembered correctly, one of the servers was the exact server i saw at Plato last year. I asked the other lady for the check, but she was the one that collected our check, and handed it back to us after swiping the card. Both picking up or handing it back to us there was no eye contact, she was busy looking at somewhere else and without a thank you… while me as a customer was saying thank you back to them…
Tipping: i love how all these restaurants give you an option now to choose your tip to make it “easier” for the customers… but the minimum they’ll make it easier is 18%. They’ll want customers to tip more, but they’ll give them under minimum service… that’s not how i was brought up, we had to work for our tips back in the days. In the end i only gave them 10% which IMO was very generous… the service was seriously way below standards SMH… we’re most likely not gonna visit this chain again as they probably feel like they have enough regulars and making enough already… so good luck to them

A friend recommended that the lamb skewers at this place are incredibly delicious, so I came to try them today. I discovered they have a new item, and after tasting it, I realized it has the same flavor as the Donglaishun lamb hotpot I had ten years ago. The price is also fantastic, totally worth it today. I highly recommend Pangni BBQ, and I’ll definitely bring my family next time!

This is one of the best Chinese BBQ places we’ve had in the country. The portions were super generous and delicious. The lamb skewers brought me back to my childhood days on the streets of Beijing again. Thank you for this gem!

I think I set my expectations a bit too high—the skewers were just okay. I didn’t enjoy the lingering aftertaste of lighter fluid that stuck with me all night.

This place is a solid four stars. The reason it isn’t five stars because not everything in the menu was delicious, but of course personal opinion. I provided the list of what I ordered. The bad items: Chinese buns were super dense you need a lot of water to eat it, scallops were really small didn’t even feel like I was eating scallops, the first piece of the pork belly was good because it had fat on it, but the rest of it was super dry. The following items were good, but also nothing to rave about. Just good enough to not hate. Which are the beef, squid, corn and oyster mushrooms (they put down enoki). The best ones were definitely delicious and I would highly recommend. The bacon wrapped enoki were super flavorful! Bacon and enoki is a great combination. The leek was very well seasoned. My first time having leek and I wanted more. Finally the best item were the lam skewers! Super flavorful, tender, and well balanced, loved them! Would definitely come back again! Also we got a free gift for taking a photo and posting it on Instagram!

Worst service I’ve ever had in DFW in 15 yrs. They talk crap to you, they are sarcastic like you’re bothering them asking for hot sauce or water, & then they hard pressure you for a big tip at the end. Lol. The owner of this place obviously doesn’t care about customers.

Second time here, hair in the food, no service at all, and the food was just warm not even hot, I really doubt that they actually grilled all the food on charcoals.
