This was my favorite Korean restaurant in Carrollton but after my trip to Korea, I came home to learn ownership changed. First off, the woman who used to run the place was the SWEETEST ajumma. She made everyone feel so welcome, like family. The food was so flavorful and authentic. I recently went back to see what it was like. I had a bill of 80 dollars and ate not one bit of food. How in the world do you make bland kimchi jjigae? The pork belly smelled so off. Service was lackluster to say the least. There used to be random, after meal treats like watermelon punch or sujeonggwa. The previous woman even taught me how to make the liangfen i loved so much. Now, unfortunately, I'll never go back. Whoever made this business decision needs a swift kick.

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant. This is your place to be! The food is really good and feels home cooked. Everything on the menu is really good but if I had to choose a couple... I recommend the combination fried rice, bulgogi, and the galbitang!!!! But really everything is good including the banchan! Everytime I go the service is also impecabble! I definitely recommend the place! They also recently started happy hour which I very exciting!!!
Definitely give them a try if you want an authentic delicious Korean dining expereince!

Gold Spoon in Carrollton is a standalone Korean spot just a few minutes from H Mart, with plenty of easy parking. The food is authentic, mildly seasoned with a touch of sweetness, and served in generous family-style portions — comforting and flavorful without being heavy.
The food was so so delicious and amazing. The hospitality of the hostess and servers was great as well! I really enjoyed eating here with my friend :)

This place started out WONDERFULLY and had the best Korean food outside of Korea, that ive ever had in the area. Then they let the lovely lady who used to run it, go. They changed management and the cook and the atmosphere. Everything is so low quality. Last time I went in, my son and I left everything and just left. I went home and made my own banchan, and kimchi jjigae. How do you make kimchi jjigae taste like water?? It's so awful now. Even the dipping sauce for the jeon was watered down. WHO MADE THIS BAD BUSINESS CHOICE!? Do not waste your money here
