30 mins for fry chicken??? That's ridiculous

So frustrating! I’m not sure if all the local Golden Chicks are owned by the same franchise but it’s so consistently bad. The gravy is water, the food gets more and more expensive and you get less and less. The staff is rarely cheerful (which I somewhat get, and most of the time it doesn’t bother me but be professionally polite at the very least). They’ve messed up my order multiple times. I went this location 15 minutes before closing a couple nights ago to get some food and they apparently closed with no notice. The drive through window was open! So unprofessional, so disappointing. Please find new management or do retraining. Do something to make your employees care about working here. Please provide a dent experience and food for the price you charge.

I went through the drive through and was confused about where to take my order, and had my window rolled up while we were deciding what we wanted on the menu. Once I rolled the window down I was looking around trying to figure out if I was in the right place to order, when an employee asked on the speaker “are you guys ready to order?” and I chuckled nervously because I felt bad, and said “yes, sorry” paused, waited for confirmation that she was ready to take our order, she didn’t say anything so I said, “can you hear me?” and she simply said “yes.” once I began ordering, I noticed she had an attitude with me. The speaker cut out and I didn’t hear what she asked me so I said “the what?” and she said “the siiidddeeessss.” and when I was done ordering, I wanted to confirm that she put down the spicy chicken and not the regular, because the speaker kept cutting out and I wasn’t sure if she got that part. She once again, with attitude, replies “yes.” over-exaggerating her annunciation as if she’s talking to someone less than or unintelligent. Then, once we pulled up to the window to pay, she did not ONCE say a SINGLE word to me. I tried saying thank you and talking to her, but she didn’t respond and looked mad. Once she gave us our food, I thought we had everything and almost pulled off, but due to her NOT SPEAKING to me at all, I didn’t realize she was trying to hand me another bag that had the gravy in it. I said “oh, thank you” and again, she said nothing. We left feeling VERY disrespected. She talked to me like I was less than human and an ignorant child. Then proceeded to give poor customer service at the window by ignoring me entirely. If your speaker isn’t working properly, that is not your customers fault nor is it an excuse to be disrespectful. The food was okay, the chicken was good but the okra was cold. This was my first and last time going to this establishment.

I bought an 8-piece chicken and one piece came out that smelled really bad. Then I went to ask for my refund and they didn't give it to me. A girl who was there closed the window and the doors and said that the manager wasn't there, but the girl is very rude.

I haven’t had a fresh lunch of fried chicken that hot and crispy in years. I had a 3 piece fried chicken chicken meal with fries… my meal was piping hot 15 minutes after I was about done.

I spent $43 plus to have 10 pieces of dark chicken, which was supposed to be legs and thighs delivered to my house with two sides and four rolls. Pretty extreme amount for that small amount of food but my wife and family enjoy the legs and the thighs. Upon arrival, not knowing what I got. I took delivery and the driver left. Upon opening the box I had one leg three wings couple of thighs and some chicken breast. My family does not eat breast or wings. I tried to find the number to call them and the only number I have access to doesn’t go to the location even though it says it does and ask you for a pin. This was a total waste of $43, my wife ate the one Leg in the box and that was pretty much it. Since I couldn’t actually get through to anyone to let them know, they sent the wrong thing. Hopefully someone from this company will contact me, but with the way they hide behind their number. I seriously doubt it.
