Poor attitudes and never anyone checking out customers even it you have a completely full basket! Pathetic service when the employees are standing around talking and not caring about the line of people checking themselves out! What the heck are the managers thinking?

The Kroger in Carrollton Tx on Old Denton used to be superb in every way. The grocery part still is but the customer service area has declined drastically. In the past 6 months to a year their customer service area has had inconsistent opening times. If u do get lucky enough to get service it's an extremely long line. Prior to this their customer service was nothing short of superb! They always opened at their advertised times. If there was a line, service was quick & efficient. I don't know what happened but now it's awful! Why offer service if you are going to be terrible!!!

This is the most mismanaged Kroger i have ever been too. Finding things in the store is hard to do with many things in the wrong places. The worst thing about tonight is it took me 25 minutes to be able to self check myself out. I was 12 in line for the self check out. There was only one line open with a Kroger checker and the line was also around 10 to 12 waiting. I do not know who manages this store but they are doing a terrible job. Every time i go here there is only one Kroger person who checks people out. I am going to find another store to go too.

Today I went to Kroger to buy a bag of potatoes and when I saw the sticker price , it said $2.59 but the self checkout scanner showed me a price of $2.99. i still went ahead and paid &2.99 but was curious enough to go back and see if i was charged it right. I went back and saw that it was $2.59 indeed. I took the picture of the display price and went back to the cashier and said that I am being charged wrong. The associate spent around 10 minutes going back and forth on her phone and the price still showed $2.99. She finally called the manager and the manager said to me, go and get the picture of the price and get back. Wow! Generally, they go and do the check and here they are asking the customer to go back and take the picture and show it to her. it was just a matter of 40 cents and I would have let it go. But, I just wanted to pay a fair price. Finally, the manager said to give her sometime as she had to finish some work. I again waited for the next 7-10 mins and finally she was free. She asked me to come with her and show her the price. Really! She should have done by herself or believed the customer for 40 cents. On top of it, she kept on showing her disappointment on me. I wasn't begging over there for money. My experience was really bad in this store. I hope the management takes a lot of this and provide adequate training to their associates.

My family have gone to this Kroger as our primary Grocery store for over 10 yrs. It's close to home and historically a reliable shopping experience. Since 2021 This Kroger location has absolutely become a HORRIBLE location. From dirty store- lousy product selection- very poor employee help. It gets 1 Star only because the Pharmacy is still pretty good. The most frustrating part of this store is CheckOut Self checkout is normally limited to half of available Self kiosks - they added 8 last year but close them Very early in the day - simple ZERO STAFF that are Helpful or friendly. We have already moved most of our shopping elsewhere. As soon as HEB opens in Plano - yes weWill be driving to Plano - because Kroger Corporate mgt has lost our thousands of annual shopping $$$ Because apparently they put zero value on what HEB does very very well. CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!! get ready for another strip shopping center in Carrollton without traditional National Retail anchor.Would prefer to Shop close to home in Carrollton my hometown. Sad.

I usually go here cause it's close and gets me fuel points, but three times I got a watermelon and when I got home to cut it it WAS not close to being ripe, I had to throw it away. I try save money by buying the whole watermelon cause the cut up ones are 5.00 and a whole one is around same price but you cut it up and get three times as much as you would buying the 5.00 packaged. I also got a lasagna ready to eat meal, and I be dang it was two days past due date, I saw that when I got home. Threw it away!! Be cautions visiting this store!! Extremely cautions!!

We've shopped at this Kroger multiple times and it gets significantly worse each time. Firstly, cleanliness goes a long way in a grocery store. To see boxes everywhere, disgusting bathrooms/ floors, and discard shopping carts left in the store with warm food everywhere... and rotten vegetables.. it's not a good look, just pick up the store. Secondly, you have employees that smell absolutely awful. I understand you need the help but you MUST have hygiene conversations with your employees. When I can barely breathe while trying to stand near the checker, I don't want to return shopping here. Thirdly, answer the phone!!! I had to go through the pharmacy to talk to someone and then I got transferred 6 times before it was to the correct person. Absolutely no one knows what they're doing at this store. Today drew the line for us and we'll no longer be returning. I grabbed a few bundles of spinach and when I got to the checkout line it rang up for way more than what was listed. I though 'that's weird the sign said "2 for $1, I'm sure of it'. (They had tons of spinach out so I was thinking oh, they must just need to sell it before it goes bad and their having a sale going on!) So, after it rings up for way more than what was listed, I asked the checker if she can get someone to check the price. She goes "You can go get a manager." Uh, hello, YOU work here, you go get a manager. So I kindly said "Well I don't know who the manager is so you'll need to go get him/her for me." She then goes "I don't know where he is, you can ask him." And she points to a man named Andrew. By this time my husband has gone to look himself at the price and comes back with pictures of how misleading the listing is. (See pictures attached.) . BUT HERES WHERE IT GOT BAD YALL. My husband shows him the pictures and I says hey, y'all have all this spinach out with a 2 for $1 sign. Andrew goes "what do you want me to do, can't you read a sign." Oh helllll nah. The way he said it so rudely had me on fire. So I said "Can't y'all put the correct sign on the correct product." He then goes "I don't know what you want me to say, it's not Kroger's fault." ............then... whose.. fault.. is it.... ? He says "that's for green onions" I said then how much is the spinach, you DON'T HAVE A SIGN. At this point we had to walk away because clearly everyone in the store is an idiot and wouldn't correct their issue. This isn't the only issue we've had before. Kindness goes a long way. He easily could've said something on the lines of "oh I'm sorry that is misleading, it's actually for green onions we'll put it in the correct place." Do better Kroger! Off to find a better grocery store.

The worst Kroger I've ever been to, and customer service is the same, 1 cashier if your lucky, and the fat lady over at self checkout is useless at best. Store is filthy and stinks no matter what day you go in, and the corporate headquarters could care less. This Kroger is on belt-line and marsh

Last night around 9 PM I shopped at the Kroger on Old Denton Rd in Carrollton, Texas and purchased 72 bottles of Essentia water from this store. The signage on their in store display said that they were on sale for 2/$3.00. Fortunately, I did take a beautiful picture with my cell phone. On my first purchase, I carried 2 cases to my car, each containing 12 bottles, 24 in total. I am on a fitness craze now, so I went back with a bigger cart and purchased 4 more cases, each containing 12 bottles. I hope you can do the math, but let me help you out. I purchased 72 bottles at what should have been $1.50 per bottle. The total should have been $108. I did not have on my reading glasses at the register, so I assumed that this was what I was being charged. When I loaded the last of the six cases into my car, I found my reading glasses and to my astonishment, I was charged $144! I was steaming mad that they had overcharged me $36 for already overpriced water. By the way when I got home I found that if you convert Essentia water to a price per gallon, it comes to over $5.00 per gallon. That made me even more upset since they were on sale, or so I thought for 2/$3.00. However, they charged me 2/$4.00! That is why they charged me $144 instead of $108. Before I left the store, I called the overage to their attention, but they would not give me the $36 that I thought that they had overcharged me, which they did! Customer Service was closed. They said that the reason I was charged the 2/$4.00 was that THAT sign was ALSO in the display, but on an OPPOSITE side from where I was gathering the cases of ESSENTIA water. Well this morning, I went back to customer service, but their bookkeeper had apparently taken the day off. They could not give me a refund of the overage!!!!!!!!!! @#$%!%! This made me even more furious! I came close to blowing a gasket. I then asked the customer service agent to give me the number to Kroger's corporate headquarters, but the number they gave me was 1 (800) KROGERS. This is NOT the number for their corporate headquarters. If it is, this company is being run by IDIOTS. I talked to the first agent after waiting on hold for several minutes. Jose finally said that he would help me get a refund, like he was doing me a FAVOR for giving me the money back that I had already overpaid! Shortly after he started his conversation with me, we were disconnected!!!!!!!!!! I could not was any more time, since I had a doctor's appointment for a surgical consultation to have a skin cancer removed. Well, over an hour ago, I called 1 (800) KROGERS for the second time. On a side note, they tell me that I am one of their best customers. Last month, I had over 1000 fuel points. I even made this particular purchase on my KROGERS MASTERCARD. I also intend to cut this card up and send it back to them. I tried using this card yesterday to make a purchase at a LA-Z-BOY store in Dallas. I was well under my credit limit! Anyway, back to the ESSENTIA water saga! Tonight around 5 PM I talked to another "customer service" agent. Unfortunately, I missed his name. I explained the whole situation with him, too. Then I told him that there was only ONE way that they could keep me as a customer. At this point, the ONLY thing that could keep me as a customer would be to refund the entire amount of the $144 purchase, not just the $36 that they OVERCHARGED me. Whoever it was that I spoke to said that he would have to ask his supervisor for guidance and would get back to me in a few minutes. He promised me that it would only be a few minutes. I am not sure what time his is on, but my watch now says that it has almost be a few hours, still with no response!. I will be making the decision for him and his supervisors and store staff. I am going to dispute these charges on my KROGER MASTERCARD, they cut up this card and send it back to them. I want NOTHING to do with KROGERS! They can't STEAL my money though. I am going to take them to a small claims court and sue them for mental anguish too!!! Life is too short to shop at stores tha

The old guy with the beard is rude and does not help customers. He always smells like onions. I think if you work at a supermarket. At least be presentable or go home. You make Kroger look bad.

Kroger is disgusting in every way. The food is gross and workers are rude. They even have Mitch McConnell's wife, running the place now.

I parked pretty far with my 3 boys (ages 1-10) and there were two employees who were smoking cigarettes in the front of the store. I understand that's their thing but there's also a backside where civilians aren't entering through the store. The designated smoke area should be the back of the store not where you're walking into cigarette smoke. One of the employees also dropped the cigarette in the walkway where the dvd rentals and patio display were at so regardless of they were smoking or not, the cigarette was still lit and we could smell cigarettes going into the store. We came home smelling like cigarette smoke as well.

I've been going to this store since it opened. Always helpful clerks. Store is clean and they've always had everything in their weekly flyer. They have a good veg/fruit section and a large meat dept. The signs telling you what's in every aisle are easy to read and cover what there. The reason 4 stars-they seem to want you to go through self checkout which I don't like. Last couple of years 2 when we went during the day only one regular checkout at night there are no regular checkouts. I understand it's hard to get workers but this started way before covid.
