-1 Star for unseasoned fries. -1 Star for dry brisket - Got the brisket sandwich with two sides. I picked potato salad and jalapeño pinto beans. I also ordered a 6 oz BBQ Sauce and a side of fries. I dowsed the sandwich with sauce for moisture as the brisket is dry, and the sauce added some flavor. The jalapeño pinto beans were Slap Yo Momma Good. The potato salad was delicious. Creamy, tasty, and made with mustard, southern style. The fries needed seasoning. It was a $30 meal including a tip via Door Dash.

First time visiting. The facility had several ppl inside and servicing drive thru as well. I got brisket, pulled pork & jalapeño sausage. The sides were mashed potatoes & smoked beans. The rest of the sides did not look appetizing. 3 stars - The meat was bland, recommend putting their sauce on it. The sausage had the flavor but no heat, probably the best of all the meats. 2 stars - The sides were again, just ok. The beans had a burnt taste more than a smoked. Came in, was welcomed and the restaurant was more of a mom & pop / hole in the wall feel. Nothing wrong with the facilities from looking from the entrance. The gentleman that served me, did not really listen as I asked him questions and he immediately started putting food on the to go plate. Overall, if you want to support a small business, try it out. Walked out paying $20 (before tip) and no drink.

BEST SMOKED TURKEY. Delightful staff, friendly guy taking orders was helpful and patient, and the bread was freshly baked. Don't sleep on fried okra- made to order and delivered by the chef. Lean brisket was ok, moist brisket was great, so was the smoked sausage.
The chopped beef and sausage (BigTex) special for wednesday is a bust. No flavor on either meat. Although the meat was cooked well and tender, it had ZERO flavor. I also got the cheesy potatoes and green beans and they also had ZERO flavor. It’s okay to use some salt and pepper when cooking food. Now i know why it was dead at noon today. I will not be back even if they offered. In this town, there are too many options of good bbq. Also , maybe ask if i’ve ever been there before and let me know the BEST thing on the menu so i don’t order something not so good. Customer Service is just that.

Absolutely LOVE Old House! The people seem genuinely eager to please their customers and the food....oh my! You could come here just for the sides but why would you want to? Love the BBQ. Usually get brisket... Great bark, right amount of smoke. Their side items are obviously homemade and are like those you would expect grandma to make. Don't even get me started about their homemade rolls...fantastic. Dang it, now I'm hungry!
