The chicken was really good but it was messy to eat and my Pepsi was sour, the half chicken was pretty reasonably priced and fed me and my friend though

I love food

I really like this malatang place! The lady is super nice, and the ambience is kind of noisy when there's other customers but quiet enough to where you can talk to each other. The self service aspect of this restaurant is really smart! The freshness of the vegetables and the meat enhances the eating experience here. The broth is especially good when there are not as much customers! Overall, this place is amazing great place to go with friends or family!

The ingredients here are very fresh, which I really appreciated — especially the quality of the meats and veggies. I also liked how they charge different prices for meat and vegetables, which feels fair and flexible depending on what you’re craving. That said, the soup base could use more flavor. Right now it leans heavily on spice but lacks depth or richness. The restaurant was pretty empty when I visited, so it was quiet, but it could benefit from a bit more energy or atmosphere. Overall, not bad, but a more flavorful broth would make a big difference.

The food was delicious. First-timers should be careful about the amount of food they eat. The radish was delicious. But it was hard to get it back.

I went there on purpose in Austin and it was very unfriendly. Aside from the taste, the customer was interrupted several times and basic service was not provided. It was an embarrassing and unpleasant experience that I never want to go through again.

All of the different type of carb they had like rice cake, glass noodle, ramen and more all tasted great in the Mara hong. The mushroom tasted a little strong in the broth but it is better when stir fried. I recommend level 2 for the Mara hong since it’s spicy but not too much. I also add in beef with mine but it was chewy. It’s tasted better when stir fried. I really like all the veggie options and they were generous with portion. For the stir fried dish, they asked us to at least spend $20 for it by adding in more fillings. Level 3 spice level is super spicy for the stir fried so be warn.

I felt uncomfortable because it contained glass noodles that looked like japchae, which were not added to the malatang soup, but it was delicious.

I love this place. It's a restaurant I often come to eat at. I don't always feel it's salty, but when I feel it's a little salty, I ask for hot water and they give it to me, and it's good to add a little more. It's so delicious and the owner is kind. I often come here with my family. I highly recommend it^^
