I met the owner this afternoon and was thrilled to re-visit the Rainbow Grill! What a Carrollton landmark this grill is! It's nostalgic to eat there knowing that in my younger days we'd eat and enjoy a great burger and fries and a shake. I even remember seeing Barry Switzer, former Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys, eating here every Saturday for lunch. I highly recommend Rainbow Grill because the service and food are excellent!!

I soooo wanted to like this place. We ordered burgers, well-done. His without cheese, mine with. We got 2 burgers, not cooked enough, both with cheese. Couldn't eat raw meat. The tots and fries were good but the soft drinks were lacking fizz and syrup. All in all...won't be back.

Cheap American eats. Everything tasted good, cokes were big! The owners are really great! The only thing is that i couldn't hear the waiter well and couldn't tell what he was asking me about a sesame or rye bun (which I didn't know was a thing people preferred).

Pam and her staff are friendly and helpful. Serving portions are generous and tasty. Cheeseburger was the special today (even with gluten free buns) and oh so yummy. Wish I had not eaten all my burger and had left room for one of their wonderful looking shakes...next time for sure.

I was super sad the rainbow Cafe didn't impress at all. The pics online were completely opposite from what you get inside. Our waiter was super nervous so it made us nervous I didn't order anything but onion rings they were not good. My son had cheese burger and fires and he even said it wasn't like good he like to eat. So it definitely something you look at and keep it pushing. Thanks for the experience

This is a fun, little, throw-back restaurant in the historic district of Carrollton - GREAT service and very good food - want to go again to try more things on the menu! The fried mushrooms and onion rings were awesome - and my burger was good. Good food, quaint atmosphere, and great service - definitely a place you should try.

I was in Downtown Carrollton this morning and stepped into the Rainbow Grill for lunch. I was hoping for a pretty good burger and fries. What I got was so much better than it ever has to be! The fries are fresh cut and the burger is exactly what I would make at home, red onion and all! And the people who work there are incredible! I love this place so much! I guess I got a little carried away with my compliments and the owner gifted me a piece of her famous Texas Sheet Cake! This is now a destination restaurant for me!
