I don't know if this location is understaffed or not staffed, but I was there twice today and both times no one picked up to take an order. I went once in the morning and once after 3pm. Both times the screen timed out and I pressed the button again and no one answered so I left and went to a different location.

The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The managers should be communicating to the owners or corporate that the payment screen is never accurately calibrated and it takes entirely too long to read my card, and leave a tip. I would guess that many people get frustrated and don’t tip and this ultimately negatively impacts the employees. The added ability to tap out cards for payment processing is a great idea but has yet to work, not just for myself but everyone I’ve talked to. The better investment would be a keypad so that calibrated screens are not an issue. Many times the employees have to run my card inside and since majority of people no longer carry cash they lose a tip. This issue is likely not an issue in cooler climates but in Texas when it’s not unusual to have a 70 degree Christmas and the average summer is 60+ days straight over 100 degrees the same equipment that works in Arkansas is not working in Texas. Thank you to the staff for always being great, I would like your company to do better for the customers which will in turn do better for you.

Having to request mustard, ketchup, salsa or the cheese that goes with the pretzel is ridiculous.

Waited for 15 min to order and never was approached or asked to to take my order. Several cars also just left after receiving the same service.

ordered a strawberry limeade and they gave me a Sprite basically and when I complain that it just tastes like sprite the lady told me that's because it's made with sprite. literally the most condescending response of ever received from an employee somewhere working in the service industry. all I was asking for was a squirt of strawberry flavoring but I didn't get to ask. typical this day and age

I hate when FAST food isn’t FAST.

terrible in-app order experience. first off, when I pulled up to the stall and ordered the promo deal for the BOGO foot long coney, the person who took my order definitely didn’t know what he was doing. I ordered the BOGO and he rang it up to the stall, only to tell me after the fact that I can only order the deal through the app and do pick up. huh?? why do you tell me that after you pull it up on the screen? it’s not like this BOGO started today, it’s been going on all of August. there’s no way I was your first order of the month. there’s no way you didn’t notice your co-workers taking this order before instructing the customer to order through the app. should’ve been known is all I’m saying.

I did not mind downloading the app and signing up. so that’s what I did. but add to the inconvenience, when I ordered the BOGO and side of tots, it gave me an estimate of when they’ll deliver it to me. well they were 13 minutes late. my baby was screaming crying in the car so I pressed the button again to ask for the ETA, only to be connected to a different person who didn’t know what they were doing. they said they can bring it out “right now” which makes me believe that it’s been ready all along and it was sitting there. I got my order shortly after I followed up. he also asked what stall I was at. which- I put on the app when I checked in to pick up my order, and also doesn’t it say what stall # you’re talking to when you take a call? not sure what’s going on back there but clearly there’s no coherent system or training when it comes to the app orders.

not going to boycott this place just yet, maybe I’ll drop the app and just order in person and see if the service is ok. but yeah could’ve and should’ve been better.

This is the worst Sonic in Carrollton. I weigh on average 15
to 20 minutes in person, in 2 hours to 3 hours for doordash. The management treats their employees deplorable, and it shows in their service. Doordash please let me choose the other Sonic.

Unfortunately, this Sonic in Carrollton has lost the charm and quality that once made it “America’s Drive-In.” The service is incredibly slow—even during non-peak hours—and most of the stalls are blocked off with cones due to being out of order. The few that are functional often have their own issues, making the ordering process frustrating.

To top it off, the food just doesn’t taste fresh anymore. It feels like everything sits too long before it gets to you. It’s really disappointing, especially for those of us who grew up loving Sonic for its fun, fast service and tasty, made-to-order meals. This location needs a serious refresh, both in terms of operations and quality, to live up to the legacy.

I asked for water, the server told me they're not allowed to give out water. I didn't argue, but according to their website, they are supposed to give mini waters for free
