My daughter and I ordered breakfast delivery from Awake this morning.
We order here maybe monthly .
I ordered the Garden Frittata it was very disappointing.
It was mainly vegetables very little egg.
According to pictures on various sites the Frittata was supposed to have avocado on top.
Mine came with no avocado.
This was not are first bad experience.
Last time we ordered avocado toast which is normally very good.
The last time the avocado was very watered down no chunks of avocado at all very disappointing.

This place used to be really good before the rebranding. It used to be nice, cozy diner, and then it became this weird, trendy, millennial wannabe restaurant.

I ordered a Greek Salad for lunch via my work's food delivery app. My lunch came on time and I had no issues with my salad.
The salad was better than average. They use fresh leaves and other veggies. Their chicken was tiny cubes. I can't tell, but it seems as though the chicken was pre-cooked. Not much flavor.
Their Greek salad dressing was really good, though. I think the price is a little high for being a salad.
I will try this place again, but I won't order the Greek salad.

I took my daughter here for breakfast and we had a great meal! She loved her kids meal full of French toast and I loved my skillet. Will absolutely have to come back here! Also, the server was by herself but did a fantastic job especially with my daughter!

My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time, especially since it was my birthday, and he knows how much I love breakfast. When we arrived, we were told there would be a 10-minute wait, which was fine with us, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 5min or less.Since it was a beautiful morning, we asked to sit outside.
About 5 minutes later, another couple was seated next to us. Both of us waited for someone to take our order, but no one came. The lady from the other table eventually went inside to let the staff know that no one had come outside yet. The manager came out and only asked for our drink orders. We ordered one mimosa and one orange juice.
Then, the waitress came to the table next to us to take their order. The lady kindly suggested that she take ours too, since we had been waiting for a while. The waitress responded, “That’s not my table.” The lady insisted, saying we had been waiting longer, but the waitress still didn’t take our order.
Eventually, the waitress came over and asked if we had been helped. I told her the manager had taken our drink order 15 minutes ago, but we hadn’t received anything. She apologized and went to check on our drinks. Our waiter finally brought the mimosa, but only one drink, even though the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed and could have been brought at the same time.
It was now 10:20, and we still hadn’t placed our food order. By 10:30, my drink finally arrived, and we placed our order. We waited another 15 minutes before we got our food at 10:45, and that was only after I went inside to complain.
Throughout this entire experience, neither the manager nor the waiter apologized. It was incredibly disappointing. We had a bad experience, and we will not be going back.

I wish they'd put calorie counts on their menu, though I understand that isn't required for such a small chain. I just find it very helpful in making informed decisions.
This location has a pretty high turnover with staff, so often they are not all that knowledgeable about the menu, but a very decent place to have brunch.

- first-time visitor
- dine in
- Ordered the waffle combo with bacon and potatoes
- coworker ordered the 2 egg breakfast with potatoes
- we were not pleased with the overall food
- the bacon was very salty
- the potatoes had little flavor and were under cooked
- I enjoyed the Texas shaped waffle. It was good but not crispy. It reminded me of a hotel. DIY breakfast.
- I ordered 1 slice of French toast; I think it was undercooked. I even asked the waitress. It was the blondest French toast and devoid of egg. It was not tasty. To make matters worse, I thought one slice of French toast was $2. It was $4. It was only $2 if it was part of your combo and an upgraded side. That was not clear to me.
Restaurant reviews seem decent overall, so I guess they were having a bad day. This was on a week day between 11 - 11:30 am. It was not busy or packed with people. The server was attentive. The food was subpar.

Awake in Carrollton has quickly become one of my favorite spots for breakfast, and after my recent visit, it’s easy to see why this place is gaining a loyal following. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of excellent.
One of the highlights of my visit was the staff’s willingness to customize my meal to suit my preferences. As someone who doesn’t eat bacon, I was thrilled when they happily substituted chicken in my dish without any hesitation. This level of attentiveness and flexibility is something you don’t always find, and it made my breakfast all the more enjoyable.
Speaking of food, the orange mimosa was absolutely divine. It was refreshing, with just the right balance of citrusy sweetness and bubbles. It complemented my meal perfectly and set a cheerful tone for the rest of my Friday morning.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the French toast. It was nothing short of fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of syrup and fresh fruits. Each bite was a delightful mix of flavors and textures, making it one of the best French toasts I’ve had in a long time.
Awake in Carrollton is not just a place to grab breakfast; it’s a place where you can enjoy a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with great service and even better food. Whether you’re looking to customize your meal or enjoy a classic breakfast dish, Awake has you covered. I thoroughly enjoyed my Friday breakfast here and will definitely be returning to try more from their menu. Highly recommended!
