Love the Jamaican food here! It has become one of our most favorite eateries. The service can be a bit slow when it gets busy, but I promise you it's worth the wait. I highly recommend you visit this authentic joint if you're in the mood for a taste of jerk or curry chicken or better yet, oxtail!
I visited The Island Spot in Carrollton today in celebration of Jamaican Emancipation Day, and I was blown away by the experience! They had a stew peas special for the occasion, and let me tell you—it was absolutely delicious! 😋 The portion was generous, the meat was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the plantains were sweet and golden. I also loved the fresh salad with avocado—it added the perfect balance to the meal.

If you are in the area, stop by. If you aren't, it's worth the trip. Everything from the ambience to the food made dining here an amazing experience. The food is fresh, well seasoned and prepared and refreshingly authentic. There is a bar and I was told live music on Fridays.
