I'm not a local, I'm from nashville I stopped in for dinner to get the chicken fried steak last night, and it was okay it was just kinda bland. The tater tots I ordered were soft like microwaved soft and they don't have beer on draft. How do you have that nice of a bar but no beer on tap. Also they didn't have many local beer options, it was disappointing. The service wasn't great either, 1 person behind the bar and she was swamped. It took forever to order, and I would have to flag her down to order which I don't like doing because it's awkward. Outside of the food and beer, the atmosphere was fantastic, really nice place to chill out and play some games or talk to people, very spacious inside and pretty. They did a really good job with the design of that place.

The night was cold but the Social Club was hopping! The karaoke competition was fierce but thoroughly enjoyable. The winners were well deserved and everyone who came out seemed to have a thoroughly great time. If you are visiting Carthage and looking for a fun place to hang out, I can recommend a visit there.

Best kept secret in Carthage! Shhhhhh, don't be too loud! We'd hate for our favorite low key place to become too busy! Need a drink, need a smile, need a burger and fries? Come on in! Love it here! Best local place to grab a quick bite, drink with friends, or a game of pool!

For the record I RARELY leave reviews.. So I only come into Carthage about one to two times a year for work and we always go to the same place.. but this time we mixed it up.. and glad we did!! If it counts for anything, I got the plain Jane burger (because you can’t mess a simple burger up right?) and WELLL it is anything but plain! Simple? yes, delicious? YES! And this is from someone who orders to go while everyone else eats in but I eat a couple hours later in the comfort of my room.. So yea 2 hours after cooked the bread was still fully intact and not soggy which was a VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE!! I can about imagine how good everything else on the menu could be! Needless to say, I’ll be impatiently waiting for my next work trip into Carthage for this burger! OH and the young lady who tended to us was SUPER SWEET and helpful throughout our couple hours there!
