We have been to Baked many times, always impressed, and I was excited to use Baked to order some cakes for my husband's birthday celebrations! There were some mix-ups and they dropped the ball on my order. When I showed up to pick up the cakes, the kind lady working the front was unable to find them and handed me the phone to talk directly to the owner. This seems like more or a breakfast pastry spot than a dessert pastry spot. I'm going to give it another try but in the morning! I went a bit before they close. The pastries are gorgeous tho and I'm sure taste better in the morning!!
My daughter and I stopped in and picked up some cinnamon sugar croissants, some brioche buns with blueberries and cream cheese custard, and a cream cheese custard with mixed berries on a croissant pastry. It was worth the drive from San Antonio! Every item was delicious! Even my picky eater of a husband was in heaven! Take the drive. They're worth it.
