“Oh my, we have been wanting to check this place out after reading many posts on SA Restaurant fb site and boy were we in for a undeniable treat …. We were greeted by one of the two owners, “Heather” the wife, to be specific , and she was just a pleasure and a joy to listen to , very welcoming and presented a couple of specialty options, we had already scanned over the menu before arriving, we had decided on a classic pizza with meats and veggies , but being foodies and prior restauranteurs( specifically Hippie Chic’s River Shack / Hippies & Hops , in Concan, Tx.) we appreciate chefs and restaurant owners that push the envelope , think and create outside the box , we chose one of the new specials “The Sweet Southern Heat” topped with bacon, crumbled cornbread, jalapenos, mozzarella,dollops of house-made pimento cheese, and drizzled with hot honey , and oh, my-my! Soooo goood !!! Also split a greek salad ( so fresh and crisp) and the bread that everyone talks about with warm marinara sauce , & perfectly paired everything with a amazingly cold Hazy IPA. The service was spot on & the staff -joy filled!!! The other half , Co-owner, Justin ( husband of Heather)whom we were able to have a nice visit with made sure our food was timed and delivered perfectly, crust spot on crisp and perfect amounts of toppings. You gotta try this place out, you wont regret it!!! Oh and before you leave, grab a pint of their house-made gelato ( also expertly crafted)”

“My wife and I, along with a friend, visited The Yard today. My wife and our friend had the burgers and I had the blue cheese burger. The food was great and the blue cheese burger - I don’t believe there’s a burger like it in San Antonio that can beat it. The blue cheese wasn’t overpowering any other tastes and seemed to complement the rest of the burger well. The fries were delicious. Drinks were great. It’s a little dark in here as far as lighting - we arrived around 6:30 PM in July so there plenty of light coming in from outside but no interior table lighting that I could notice.

It is very worth the trip to go here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Enjoy!”

“Pastries to die for. Literally better than any bakery anywhere I've ever found inside the SATX city limits and well worth the extra drive to Catstroville. I've tried muffins, cookies, custard croissants, cheesecake croissants, chocolate croissants, monkey bread, cinnamon rolls. Everything was melt in your mouth amazing. I do wish they'd put the food behind a glass barrier or keep in the back with just one display item out for sanitary purposes, but that's just me being nitpicky since other people won't even cover their nose when they sneeze.”

“I ALMOST SUFFOCATED EATING THEIR POZOLE!!!! I almost swallowed a Heineken beer bottle cap. I spoke to the business owner Oscar, whom admitted they add beer to their pozole. But he said that they have insurance and that I could do whatever I wanted. In another words he didn't care that I couldn't have died. A bottle cap can tear up your intestinal track. The picture shows the bottle cap that I pulled out of my mouth before swallowing it. Oscar, Insurance will not help if you die. HE TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS NEGLIGENCE!”

“We had the Billy Bob's Special/Cheeseburgers. It was really good. I didn't give 5 stars, because when I placed my order on the phone, the girl that answered was kind of rude. This was a week ago.”

“Waitress was amazing!! Friendly and very talkative love it! Now to the food!!! Omg the chicken was the best I’ve ever had and I told the waitress thank you for the recommendation. My wife got a chicken fried chicken and she said it was amazing. My son got chicken fried steak with a salad and that was the best he said. The bread from Haby’s was delish and not to forget the pecan and coconut pie were scrumptious!!! Highly recommended and can’t wait to go back It was a 10!!”
