Excellent food at a very reasonable price. It's worth the drive to Castroville. The Caldo is a generous serving and full of flavor. Enchiladas are top-notch, and everything I've tried has been great quality. I've been impressed with the great service, great food, and great prices. Oh, did I mention that everything is great!?

Service was horrible. Food tasted good but then later on that day it just didn’t sit well. Will we go back probably not.

This place does not disappoint, the food is great, customer service is on point and the price is right for as much as you are served, that is on to go orders too!

Wanted to love this place, but the food let it down.Beautiful building, nice and clean, lovely decor. Friendly folks, great service.Starting off the chips and salsa was a let down. Salsa ok, but chips were not homemade, stale, and not pleasant. When leaving we saw a stack of chips in a corner in baskets. Wonder how many hours they sat there. For dinner, enchiladas (beef and chicken) ok. Nothing stood out, nothing sucked. Rice and beans just bland. Under seasoned. Cook good, but no flavor. The bright spot was the carne guisada. Wonderful! Great flavor and excellent fall-apart tender cook. But not impressed by the tortillas. Hard, thick, not nice to eat. Tasted like the flour used to cook them was old, past fresh, so the tortillas cooked wrong. If you know, you know.Cannot recommend, unless you go get a tub of carne guisada.

I like the place however the waitresses could be more attentive to their customers and why you can't order a half an order of nachos and or the grilled chicken salad I'm not sure, but sometimes a full order is just too much. Alot of seniors eat their that's on a fixed income. But other than that it's OK. And the food is good.

Only complaint is that it is too loud - they need to muffle the sound.

First visit to this restaurant. Was impressed with the appearance and, important to me, its cleanliness. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and tasty. Will be a destination choice when visiting Castroville.

This place is legit! I've travelled to Mexico, all over Latin America. And frankly the world. This place is tasty, unpretentious, and authentic. Yummy!

The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. Service was very good and quick. We ordered two different styles of fajitas and it was good, although the chicken and beef on mine was a little on the dry side. They only serve beer and wine based margaritas, which I don't care for so I didn't order any drinks.
