Absolute gem of a place that is frozen in time. We stopped in on a road trip to Houston and had a couple of beers. Not many places like this exist anymore. Resemblance of an old house/bar/tavern that still serves beer with a smile. The owners still work the bar and cook. They have beer signs and such from the 60’s and 70’s. We are here on a cold day and the heater in the middle of the bar looks like it’s from the 70’s and still cranking out heat. If you’re passing through stop in for a beer and help keep places like this going.

I liked it better when it was an all you can eat. I always always liked to go back for more coleslaw; it is so good! They still give you plenty of fish that is the best!

Back in 2004 we were taking a Saturday afternoon drive to the country and stumble on it. We fell in love with Cat Spring and brought property there in 2005.
