That time I spent there 10min was fantastic. The food was just right and not over cooked. It was fluffy, seasoned very well. They know. I'm coming back real soon. Bet that.“

“First time here, went for a late lunch on a Friday. Service was absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress (Shelby, I believe) was amazing. Very accommodating & down to earth attitude. My SO & I were celebrating a work accomplishment & she made us feel very special & cared for, & from the way she interacted with other customers, it seems she's just an all around great person. Food, drinks, everything was delicious. My first time trying raw oysters & I was very impressed, very clean tasting. Made the experience much easier for a first timer! “As a Chicago sweetheart, finding good fish in Texas is serious business and JJ Fish & Chicken absolutely delivered. The steaked catfish took me straight back home. Perfectly seasoned, tender, flavorful, and not overcooked like so many places get wrong.

What impressed me most was that authentic Chicago-style fish spot feel & da real mildsauce, the kind of place where the food speaks for itself. If you grew up on Chicago fish joints, you already know the standard is high. This is the first place in Texas that genuinely gave me that same comfort-food experience.

Definitely worth the drive if you’ve been craving real Chicago-style catfish in Texas. I’ll be back.“
