Absolutely phenomenal! Steven and Shantrice catered for my party of 20 with fairly short notice and everyone loved everything. There was a unique flavor that exceeded expectations for every dish. They were such kind and helpful people as well. Even followed up after the event to ask how it all went. Definitely recommend and will definitely return to this business

I was excited to try this place with my friends since it was so highly rated and in the Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas.Food is solid. Service is amazing. Ambiance is mediocre.Food. I enjoyed my shrimp etouffee! It had big meaty pieces of perfectly cooked shrimp with great flavor. However, the rice and onion pieces detracted from the experience. The fries were normal. The catfish was good except that it was more breading than catfish at times. Not sure if the Catfish Olivia plate was worth $18.25 when the other plates were $12.75. The beignets were fresh and fluffy! You can order them for after the meal.Service. All the staff were very friendly and helpful!Facilities. The eating area is quite tiny with only 3 tables inside. The kitchen was right next to it. It was hot as it seemed like the AC wasn’t working, so the dine-in experience wasn’t so pleasant.Would I come back? Yes, but inly for take out.

Hands down the best food I’ve had in Austin! Mrs. Shantrese, the owner, greeted us and was so friendly. We ordered gumbo, boudin balls and beignets to go (I only managed to get a picture of the boudin balls before eating everything else). Everything was delicious and flavorful. As a Louisiana native, I can proudly say Cajun Skillet is truly authentic. We will definitely be back.

First time at this establishment. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly young lady by the name of Shantrese. The menu she provided was full of so many delicious choices. I had the Hot Sausage Poboy and the boss had the Sausage and Chicken Gumbo. We also ordered the Cajun Pasta with chicken. Also the Red Beans and Rice as a side. So many options and we couldn’t decide so we ordered all of it with the intention of taking some home. Wow, we’re we impressed by the taste of everything. Our order was out super fast, the portions were plenty and the flavors were out of this world! Just like we were back in “Nawlins”. It was great and Shantrese was a fantastic host. Can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend. Thank you again, Shantrese, for everything!PS. The music she played for us was bomb! Love that dirty jazz trumpet!

The food was really good. I wish that there were 4 beignets, not 3. Three makes it difficult to share. The service was good even though we didn't get our drinks right away. It was really hot inside, and I can see why so many people pick ip food to go.

Hands down the best cajun food in Texas and possibly the world! The Catfish Olivia is super delicious! Waaaaay better than Pappas seafood and at a better price! I found my Cajun home!

Fabulous food, we went with 2 other couples and all raved about the food. I had the blackened shrimp with a jambalaya side. The place is small but the people there went out of their way to make a place for 6. There were many people coming in for to-go orders so the place does a great business. Definitely will go back and bring others that like Cajun food. Also want to try their bigger place in Temple.

Delicious! As a Memphis native with tons of family in New Orleans and thereabouts-I can tell you this stuff is legit. Ordered tons of items and each one was fantastic! The only thing missing is some malt vinegar on the table for the fried catfish. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you for providing a small taste of home in the desert! Fed my belly and my soul. Left full and thoroughly homesick.

Had a 4.8 rating so we decided to give this place a try. There were only 3 tables / 8 chairs total inside, so you better be willing to carry out. Meal was average, dining area wasn’t very clean and apparently no working AC, service was barely adequate. Won’t be returning.

Small yet good. This place was a nice surprise to our palates. The options are good, the prices are competitive and, for the poboy sizes, it is worth it.What makes it even better is the flavor and seasoning. We ordered the catfish, shrimp and hot sausage poboys, plus the jambalaya and mac and cheese sides. The bread was perfec and a good slice makes all the difference. Out of the 3 poboys we ordered, I would go for shrimp hands down. The drink options were all canned or bottled and they don't seem to have a kids menu; and these would be where my comments/suggestions would be. However, I will return and try more of the dishes they offer.

We ordered and picked ours up to Watch a Movie at home. I can't vouch for dining in, but it appeared to have a small area with tables. Some seriously delicious crawfish crawfish etouffee, which means their bisk is the bomb, too. Some of the best beignets I've had in years. Haven't had any like that since the streets of New Orleans.
