“As first timers we came on a Friday at 3pm for happy hour and we are still here at 5:20pm. If you like Oysters, and solid cocktails, this is the place for you. We had two dozen raw (mix of gulf and east coast), 2 orders of charbroiled, Rockefeller, and fried oysters. We couldn’t get enough they were so good. Shout out to Melissa at the bar and James (the all knowing and the fellow bourbon enthusiast) for making our afternoon into an amazing evening.”

“When I saw this place call itself an Izakaya I came with high hopes, as when I was in Japan our home was very near an amazing Izakaya and a Yakatori restaurant that we went to under our train station in Osaka.

This place is a little different than what I was hoping for/expecting

The food was ok, the menu has a lot. But it was more of a sushi place with some Izakaya/Yakatori mainstays

I was hoping for Tsukune, tebaski, sunagimo in addition to the kaarage and tonkatsu

So to focus on what I did have:

Tonkatsu: was pretty good came on a plate with the pork cutlet and lightly topped with tonkatsu sauce with some partly fried potatoes and a couple slices of cucumber and tomato, the pork was cooked well and was juicy, the breading was not quite crunchy, not sure if they use shokupan or if it's a freshness issue, the breading did easily separate from the pork

I also ordered chicken yakatori and pork Yakatori, they came on a plate with lemons and shredded cabbage

The chicken was cooked well, the sauce they used (tare?) was flavorful and I enjoyed them, a tad well done

I did not enjoy the pork, it was tough and dry

I also ordered some unagi sashimi, which came with some ginger and wasabi (a bit milder and sweeter than I expected)

The unagi was cooked well and served warm and was very tasty

I would like to come back and try the Una don or katsu don, a table next to us ordered it and it looked really good, will update if I try it again.

“We went this last Friday for their Prime Rib Special, we arrived right at 5:00pm and were seated right away. Service was incredibly quick and our server was a fantastic personable woman (whose name I can’t remember 🤦🏻‍♀️). The fresh bread was sooo good, my husband had the Cajun pasta which was sooo delicious! I got the Prime Rib Special, the smoked mashed potatoes were to die for, and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. My prime rib was a little overcooked, which made it a bit tough but was still so yummy and the seasoning on it was top tier. The cheesecake dessert was one of the best desserts I have ever had! It lasted about five seconds at our table. The cocktails and mocktails were also perfect. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!”

“My best friend and I came in here after our massages and really just wanted some wonderful food therapy afterwards on our girls trip. This place exceeded our expectations by far and was perrrrrfect! We ate way too much and it was totally worth it. Also I want to shout out Thomas that works there! He was so welcoming and helpful.we really enjoyed him! To the business owner: he's a keeper there!”

“I’ve been wanting to try Cedar Park Cafe, and we finally made it there yesterday. We split the Reuben sandwich and were glad we did—it was excellent and more than enough for two. Also loved the deep fried French fries that came with it. Just how I like them cooked. We also shared a Caesar salad, which was solid.
Our server, a young man, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The restaurant itself has a bright, inviting atmosphere, and they have nice outdoor seating that will be perfect once the weather cools down.
The breakfast menu looks phenomenal and is served all day, which is a big plus. Our waiter highly recommended the Philly cheesesteak, so that’s definitely on the list for our next visit.
The only downside was the booth seating: the benches had no padding and were pretty hard. Still, that won’t keep us away—we’ll definitely be back!”

“*Update* We have ordered 3 times in 2 weeks and are going to get another order this weekend.... YES, it's that good! We ordered Yak N Yeti for the first time with UberEats, and it was amazing! My husband and I both love Indian food so we have tried several places around the CP/Austin area and this restaurant has the best flavors we've had. The food was delicious, every container was labeled with contents, and we were so impressed with the menu. My husband is vegan and they had plenty of options. They have definitely earned a dedicated customer.”

“I stopped by recently and was honestly impressed from start to finish. The protein tea was the highlight—super refreshing, not overly sweet, and you can actually tell it’s made with quality ingredients. I liked that it didn’t have that heavy, chalky taste you sometimes get with protein drinks. It felt light but still energizing, which is kind of the perfect combo.

They also offer aloe and added vitamins, which I wasn’t expecting but really appreciated. It made the whole experience feel a little more intentional, like they actually care about what they’re serving and how it benefits you—not just throwing together another sugary drink. You can customize things too, which is always a plus.

The flavor options were great, and the one I tried tasted clean and smooth without being artificial. Definitely something I’d come back for, especially if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to coffee or energy drinks.

What stood out just as much as the drinks, though, was the atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming without being over the top. You don’t feel rushed, and they’re happy to answer questions or help you pick something out.

Also worth mentioning—the place was very clean, including the bathroom, which says a lot about how they run things overall.

All around, it’s a solid spot if you want something refreshing, a little healthier, and served by good people. I’ll definitely be back.”

“I love this place. We usually go several times during the month. We love our Cosmopolitan drinks always made with our favorite Grey Goose Vodka. The food is amazing. I’m not really into spicy but here I can handle it. Last but no least… the service! The customer service. Fast, kind, always with a smile open to help and give you advises. They are so skilled and knowledgable. Waiters knows al the plates, and tastes. Also huge shout out to my Venezuelan friend. He is a bus boy and he is always goes above and beyond. Menu features a few not-taco and side items along with their signature list soft tacos that are really good. We had dinner here recently amongst friends, tried 6-7 of their different tacos, let's just say that nobody complained and we gladly finished them all. Torchy's is a neat place that is family friendly and a good spot to meet up with friends. Prices are reasonable, range of taco options good and they seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen. Would gladly eat here again and do take-away for meals at home.”

They were busy, but itl did not take long for my order. Plenty of workers in there bustling. Good brownie bits, not overly chewy/gummy things thats been sitting in a bin for weeks. It was actual brownie bits. Kudos to them on that. They had cornhole boards setup. Wish my kids were with me because they would have loved that. I assume this a local chain. “Healthy eating isn't always the easiest thing to come by when dining out in Texas. Honest Mary is a fast-casual kitchen preparing vegetarian, gluten-free and healthy bowls at their two branches in Austin. We stopped by recently and did their Sedona Lime and Med Harissa Bowl, both were freshly prepared and tasted very good. You can also do custom bowls choosing your own proteins, rice/salad base and other food items/sauces. Prices are about right for the food quality and portion sizes served. Seating area is a regular, casual restaurant and bowls are prepared fairly quickly.”

“Tried Tasty Bites, the only vegetarian food cart selling Indian Chinese cuisine. They offer multiple food options, including grilled sandwiches for kids. We enjoyed the food, especially the masala grill sandwich and vada pav.
The Hakka noodles were good but a bit mild for my taste. Overall, the food was enjoyable and the atmosphere was great. I would love to return and try more dishes. If you're looking for a vegetarian Indian Chinese restaurant, this food truck is worth a visit.”

This is NOT your standard ice cream shop with the same 25 flavors everyone else has.

And even the familiar flavors are bolder and much more intense. The quality shines through.

We tasted several different ones, and we ordered a 4-scoop sampler or Flight. This was the perfect way to try several different ones.

We tried Butterscotch, Kheer, Oreo/Caramel/Fudge, and Caramelized Pineapple. All very good!

“I absolutely love this place, I usually order ahead because I'm super introverted. The strawberry matcha latte and salmon riceballs are my go to faves. But their soft serve is delicious and refreshing during the hot summer heat. Arguably one the best places to get fantastic matcha in Texas (but maybe I am biased lol)
Whenever I'm having a bad day or a tough day after work, a matcha latte and an afternoon treat always cheers me up. The staff are so sweet and friendly and the decor is so bright and sunny.

“We found this place a couple months ago and it has quickly become our Sunday spot. The food truck outside has genuinely some of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had, the beer selection is great, and Kaitlyn behind the bar is awesome. She always takes great care of us and makes some seriously good drinks.

The whole place just has a great atmosphere. There are plenty of games to play, a huge TV outside, and a shaded patio where we can hang out and bring our dog with us. It’s the kind of place you find once and then just keep coming back to.

We’ve been here every Sunday since we found it and don’t see that changing anytime soon. Great food, great drinks, great people, and a really fun place to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend it!”
