“The food was excellent. In all candor, based on location and price the food should be excellent. Many fun choices but not too many to be overwhelming. The cafe is comfortable and relaxed but upscale. An interesting selection of mixed drinks and what seemed an updated wine list and improved.”

“Always love stopping by here to pick up our wine club allocations. For wine club members, there's a patio for when the weather is nice, and an upstairs room when it's not. We've come by ourselves, and brought friends, and it's always a good experience. It's so nice to be able to choose from all the Heath Family wines; we've always loved the Grape Creek Viognier, but I've also become a fan of some of the IV reds.”

“Last night my husband and I had an amazing dinner at Alma ! I knew it was going to be good because so many of our friends had glowing reviews, but we just didn't know how good... Our personable and knowledgeable server Franky, recommended the Hells Eggs with candied bacon, and chili pop rocks. They did not disappoint! The Puerto Rican style barbecue Carnitas pizza was very good. We sat at the chefs counter. I really enjoyed watching Luis make the pizzas from scratch. The maple glazed pork belly was my favorite bite of the night. The sweet potato and maraschino cherry was the perfect combination, I did not know that I needed, but I promise you I will think about again. The most memorable part of our evening was having chef prepare a ceviche tasting. We loved watching the food being prepared, talking and interacting with the chefs, sipping great wine, and enjoying an amazing date night at Alma. My advice is, make a reservation, sit at the counter given the opportunity, and explore the menu!”

“Came here for lunch with my wife. The food is outstanding. The lamb shank, salads, pizzas, chocolate cake and tiramisu were amazing and reasonably priced for the quality. We're coming back.”

“The Vegan Roll was delicious, but it was the only thing marked vegan on the menu. They could mark their menu better and offer more options to people who avoid animal products. When asked to make a vegan option for the tofu dish, they obliged.”

“Have lived in Georgetown for many years and never have been to this restaurant until tonight for my daughter's 40th birthday, which is actually tomorrow, but she's been wanting to go, and let me tell you, I took my first bite and it was sooo amazing, I told our server, Brett, right away! I had the flash fired fried country chicken breast..not only was the food delicious, but our server was attentive, friendly and nice, and my daughter also got her birthday cheesecake, on the house! She had the veal and my son in law had the bison, which he shared with my grandson. We all loved the food, so kudos to the chefs and we'll ask for Brett next time!!”

“Took my son to celebrate his 15 year birthday.Sushi is well made but very expensive. $280 (not including tip) for a family of 4 with 1 beer. Maybe I will be back once a year… about $24-$28 per roll!If money is not a problem, then yes, I would recommend…”

“Excellent service and delicious food. Was not expecting the sushi boat, that was really fun! They make an excellent spider roll, and despite being a little spicy the Red Devil roll was surprisingly nuanced. On the one hand, the small venue is low key and family friendly, but this food feels fancier than the current venue. Still, good value for the cost if you want a relaxed date or low key special occasion with super tasty, world class sushi!Kid-friendliness: Seriously, kids will get a kick out of the giant sushi boat! And Tempura makes vegetables tasty for any palet.”

“I am giving Barking Armadillo a 5 Star rating because the beer, staff, and atmosphere was good. I only have one complaint. They only serve the beer in 8 ounce cups. Against my "beer drinking ethics". Nice place but we won't be back.”

“This is our go-to for Greek food when we are in Georgetown. It even just driving through Austin! Food is fresh, plentiful and tastes great. My gyro plate was both dinner and lunch the next day.”

“On a calm evening, with the cafe lights setting the mood, spanish guitar melodizing in the background, and a smooth Italian red…there’s not a better place to take my wife out for date night. When the lawn is open and they have live music playing, it’s one of the most relaxing places to enjoy a night just off the Square. You gotta try this place out!”

“This is my favorite place to grab a smoothie in the Austin area! They always have the freshest smoothies (made to order) and juices. I usually get a ginger shot with my smoothie fix. The employees are friendly and very helpful. I don't know how to describe it but it smells/feels like California in there haha! It's very relaxed/laid back.”

“The new addition is really nice. However, the lady working there with curly red hair was difficult to even listen to her talk. She continuously highlighted how bad it was in there, in terms of how busy it was, and that she was all alone to all of the customers which was more aggravating than her just Being more polite and making all of our stuff. She proceeded to also tell us all how customer got mad the other day when he had to wait for his order and just walked out, she spent more time complaining than actually doing anything. Then the young kid, who apparently she decided to tell everyone was who showed up 10 minutes early and she was already on him the second he showed up about hurrying up to help her. And he was like why do you think I’m here early. Trying to be nice and she was on him about how he wasn’t early enough. Definitely why young people quit jobs is because old people act like us showing up early is never good enough. He proceeded to try to be as helpful as he could, and she just ripped into him micromanaging everything he was doing to the point of condescending in my opinion. The cherry on top of the cake was that when she gave me my two drinks to leave, I was already holding my sandwich, and I also had in my hand, my phone under the sandwich, and she tried to take my sandwich and phone for me and force me to put it on a drink tray that she handed me and I was like I got it thank you and she was like OK well, you could just put it here, but whatever and then walked away.she definitely seems like a control freak and definitely seems overwhelmed whenever it’s busy in there. I don’t mind waiting for my stuff that’s fine but dealing with her was terrible.”

“Until recently, we have given five star ratings across the board.Now however we have noticed a decline in some of the food quality.For example, the chips used to be light and free from noticeable grease. On every recent trip however, the chips glisten with grease are darker in color and leave our hands with grease residue. The guacamole portions appear smaller as well and the quesadilla filling seems much less in volume.We are hoping things improve, especially the chips, so we don't have to look elsewhere.”

“This place is a hidden treasure. The food is 5 stars. Fantastic quality and you will not be disappointed on the portions. Order their chicken piccata or chicken fried chicken or steak comes with amazing mashed potatoes and green beans that will make you want seconds!! Service has changed slightly but still good. “I LOVE this place! The food was so good, I couldn't stop eating it. I was stuffed and still loving every bite. I had the boar chorizo, and it was incredible! The place is super cute, and I especially loved sitting outside. The staff are so sweet, too. The waitress was attentive and funny, making our meal even better. I definitely want to go there again.”

“THIS. IS. MY. FAVORITE PLACE. ON THE SQUARE. So for whatever this is worth, I am not a wine-o , however, their blackberry wine is soooooo good. I'm apart of their wine club and it totally pays for itself. I think it's like $60/year(call for exact $$). You get 4 free glasses and 2 free bottles per quarter, and a certain percentage off on bottles and glasses (15-20% maybe?). You also get a cute free GT Winery wine glass !!!! Everyone there is super knowledgeable and kind! They also have a spring tour bus coming up! How fun!!!! They have snacks if you stay, and live music on weekends”

“Very good food and very good service. A man named Gunnar %100 needs a raise; He went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and brought out food fresh and fast. He stood there and talked to us, and he was the funniest server I have ever meet. Sause, missing food and napkins you name it he was on it. To finish it all off when my son spilt a drink everywhere he was the first to get over and clean it up. He made my son stop crying and told him everything was going to be ok. 10/10 will be going back.”

“Ordered delivery which was picked up by door dash driver. After receiving a text that order was on way and would be delivered between a time frame shortly it was canceled by the driver. I contacted Gattis and the manager Chase was understanding and promptly apologized, refunded and offered to remake my order. Definitely will continue ordering but never for delivery only pick up.”
