“The best way to celebrate America's 250th anniversary in this charming small town cottage.

Everyone, including older ladies, were clothed in their best Love America outfits. The charm charm of small town America.

Atmosphere: a beautiful cottage decorated with assorted Americana decorations. Loved it. See pics.

Food: I ordered a quiche Lorraine (the last one) with fresh fruits (I wished there was more variety, like with berries). The quiche was wonderful and tasty just the way I like. It was obviously made from scratch, the custard very eggy and had nice bacon flavor.

Feeling guilty, - im not supposed to eat sweets - I ordered an additional scone (see pic) with lemon curd. The scone was huge. The flavor was nice and crudty on the putdide but unfortunately, the inside was a little goowie (undercooked). The lemon curd was a tart & smooth addition.

Service: I was helped by a bunch of young - Aaron - but very professional servers.

Overall: a very good impression. I will certainly come back, maybe next year for the 251st Anniversay.

“Best burger in Williamson County by far. It’s the burger that all other burgers will have to try and beat. Totally worth the price. The burger was very fresh and hot but didn’t fall apart when I was eating it. Bacon was crispy and the pickles were nice and tart. Not gross sweet pickles. Staff is incredible and super friendly. Just the right amount of customer service. Very attentive but not too pushy or annoying. For sure going to become a weekly customer.“

Ike's corporate reached out and resolved most of the issues I had, so I have updated the review.

These sandwiches really are fantastic, even though they are on the pricey side. In my opinion, the extra cost is worth it. Unique, creative sandwich designs, ingredients, and amazing flavors.

The only thing I'll say is to watch for mistakes like missing side orders of sauce or even missing sandwiches, but Ike's (corporate and the Georgetown store) will make it right if they do make a mistake. Their food quality, positive attitude, and willingness to fix issues have earned my continued business.“

From the moment we sat down, the staff was attentive without hovering, drinks stayed filled, and the rolls came out quickly even with a decent crowd in the dining room. You can tell the front of house takes pride in how they run the place. Timing between courses was right, questions about the menu got real answers instead of guesses, and checkout was quick and painless. That level of attention alone makes it worth a return visit.

The sushi itself was solid but not exceptional. Rolls were fresh, the rice was properly seasoned, and portions were fair for the price, but nothing on the plate separated it from the other sushi options in the area. The fundamentals are all there, and the presentation was clean, it just needs a little more ambition from the kitchen to match what the service is already delivering. If that gap closes, this becomes one of the best spots around. I will be back either way.“

“I've only been living in Texas since last September and this is the only local food joint I've actually consistently enjoyed since discovering it.

Food is always above expectation and is always delicious.

“I recommend it only for to go. Dining in is weird. My Google review: It used to be a regular restaurant where staff would come take your order and deliver your food to your table on plate. Now you order your food at the counter and they bring your food to you in a plastic to go container. You have to pick up your own PLASTIC forks and napkins, and take them back to the table. The boxes they have chosen to put them in are incredibly difficult to open. The food is still really good but we will not be dining in the restaurant anymore. We might still get something to go but not near as often as we had been dining on site. Sad.“

“We got to try Simmer Down Cafe for the first time the other night! I was surprised that there were almost no customers on a Saturday at dinner time. It seems like a pretty cool hangout spot, so maybe it gets busier later in the evening. There's a bar, a patio with seating and a pool table, a little lounge area with couches, and even a few slot machines. The food was basic but not bad, and our waiter was friendly. It's great that they have breakfast options available all day! There were two gentlemen working the whole dining room, so hopefully other staff showed up later. There was nobody behind the bar, and I did overhear one of the gentlemen say that all the bartenders were fired, but maybe he was referring to somewhere else. It's nice to see staff still in good spirits and working hard even with just two of them!“

“I have no idea why this place has 4.2 stars. I literally almost didn't try it, but I'm so happy I did. This is hands down the best Chinese food I've had in Texas since moving from New York. We ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken wings and the beef and broccoli. It was so damn good and the portion size is more then generous. We had given up on good Chinese in Texas, so we're excited to have a new spot. Shout out to the amazing chef!!!!“

I really like all the choices for toppings, but it's usually better if you order in the store so you can watch it being made and ask them to add a little more or whatever. Salads are also good option. The MOD size is more than enough for a meal. Staff is generally friendly and helpful.“
