“My wife and I had the best experience here for my birthday lunch, I'm so glad we chose this restaurant to eat at while in town for the Austin FC match! I can't say enough about the staff and the owner Joel who went out of his way to be extremely kind to us. Not to mention the food and drinks were so good. We'll definitely be back!“

“Food, Service, atmosphere was spectacular. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious, the pork ribs were phenomenal, and the birthday cake desert was classy, simple and fantastic. 10/10 presentation on all the dishes. Pleasantly surprised with how amazing all the food was. High quality ingredients combined with attention to detail make this an excellent local place to support.“

“I had the Moroccan summer bowl and it was delicious. My friend had Kool Hummus sandwich which he says “was the perfect summer sandwich, it was light and refreshing ”. A must place to go.
Dietary restrictions: They had many plant based options.“

“Food was delicious as always. As they've gotten busier they don't accommodate any requests. I had reserved the table outside, there was no one at the restaurant as it was early and asked to move inside, they said no. By the time we left 1.5 hrs later they were still many empty tables inside. We tried to move to a different off sun and that wasn't possible. Minimal business outside. Good place but not for special occasions“

“There are so many memories. My grandmother and I would go walking all over town and shopping on the weekends when i was a child.. She would bring me here for ice cream to keep cool or their delicious burgers. I had fun standing in line. The wait is well worth it. Ask anyone standing in line with u...lol. Also, it's a great place to meet beautiful women. I know I did! ??“

“I had the Tipsy Chicken which comes with a smoky bourbon sauce that is to die for, I wish the location sold it in bottles! Everything else was awesome. Tasty food, friendly staff and cool jams in the background. For what is essentially fast-food, Torchy's has raised the bar! The salad was amazing! Bridget, was friendly and helpful“

“Excellent food but tight seating was awkward as hell. Pros: So many creative vegetable-heavy options, it was difficult to decide what to order! Everything we ate was fabulous. Cons: We were on a date night (2 top) seated within elbow room (I'd say 1 foot) of another 2 top on date night. It was so awkward for the whole dinner to try to have a conversation with another couple basically at our table. I could not go back for that reason; they need to spread the tables out or take away some tables. Also the waiters were squeezing between these tight spots to deliver food so we had rear ends in our faces every time food was dropped off. Hope they make some adjustments so improve these two issues.“

“Just went earlier tonight for a beer and dinner after being recommended by a friend last week. To say I was not disappointed would be a CRIMINAL UNDERSTATEMENT. It's rare to walk into a bar nowadays that seems like a genuine hangout spot, from the TV's to signs to taps; this place feels like a sitcom backdrop in all the right ways, and I fully understand why I've been recommended before. Having been a multi-year Epoch regular just down the street, I now feel like I've been missing another integral part of the North Loop neighborhood.
The tap and liquor selection were small enough to not feel overwhelming but big enough to know that virtually anything you could've wanted was sure to be available. The same with the food; I only got a grilled cheese and fries but if that was only a fraction of what's on the menu I can't imagine how good the rest is.
Lastly, I genuinely could not believe my eyes when I saw my tab. While it often feels like most places now are trying to suck your wallet dry for a beer and a sandwich (they really aren't, y'all are just cheap and don't understand operating costs), Workhouse has managed to find a way to keep everything so affordable I know I can feel indulgent without breaking the bank (It was $13.50).
For anyone like me in the service industry, this is a place to go to!
I'd leave a million stars if I could off the first impression tonight, but I guess 5/5 will do for now.“

“Loved it!! We ordered the edamame and it was the best I've ever had. A favorite is the yellowtail scallion roll - so fresh and light. My friend ordered salmon and tuna nigiri which were both delicate and melted in your mouth. Our server was so nice and very attentive. I will definitely be back!“

“Excellent food and great owner! We were in town for just a few days and our search for Birria tacos brought us here. The food was so good we came back the day after for more. Great service and delicious tacos (we got the Birrias and chalupas). This is a must visit for us when we come back to Austin again!“

“I go here often for lunch because it’s close to my work. The fish is fresh, and I like it a lot. The potato croquette is good too.
Although the hand rolls can feel like there isn’t enough fish at the end sometimes. The Hama toro is my favorite.
The service sucks though, the cashier was overwhelmed because the ordering system was not printing the orders, she was on the phone with customer care for over 30 mins all in the while not taking orders. I get it, but Is it that hard to write the orders down? I mean that’s what we had to do just a couple years ago.
Nonetheless, not a deal breaker. Just know that you might have to wait too long if there are a lot of orders ahead of you.“

“Fantastic Peking duck. We enjoyed it enough we went back a second time hoping it would be less crowded, it wasn’t. It was our fault for coming on a Sunday. Apparently, weekends are super busy. The first time we waited 90 minutes. I’m normally not willing to wait that long, but I really wanted to try the duck. The second time the wait was less than an hour. The duck was definitely worth five stars. The skin was the perfect level of crisp and the meat was tender, flavorful, and juicy. I grew up eating my grandfather’s duck and this may actually be better than his.I liked the spicy and crispy chicken, but my husband thought it was too greasy and not spicy. The fried rice serving was huge. The second time we ordered a beef dish that was awesome, but I can’t recall the name. This place is crazy crowded during the weekends, so I would strongly recommend coming on a weekday. There is some limited free parking and a parking garage that they validate for two hours. Four stars because of the long wait times.“

“Words cannot express how much my fiancé and I enjoyed our first dining experience at DipDipDip. From the moment we were taken inside, we were whisked to what felt like a romantic outdoor market in a fishing village. Our server, Shannon, was on point, with great recommendations and a happy smile. She had help from CJ and Bradley who were equally as amazing and did a great job guiding us through every bite of our Omakase. Our night was topped off with a visit from the manager, JaQuan, who was unbelievably kind and treated us to some amazing ice cream from next door. These individuals went out of their way to create a fun, unique, and delicious dining experience right in our own backyard. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!“

“We recently tried this restaurant, known for its handmade dumplings, and overall, it was a good experience.
We sampled the lamb dumpling, shrimp dumpling, and beef dumpling, with each cooked in different styles: one steamed, one boiled, and one fried.
The lamb dumplings, both fried and steamed, were particularly good and definitely worth trying. However, we found the place to be on the pricey side. For instance, the soup dumpling portion was only 4 pieces, whereas most other places we've visited offer 6 or 8 pieces for a similar price. This made the portions feel small given the cost.
The ambiance is very casual, and the plates are melamine and cheap, so I do not recommend it for a special occasion. However, it's a good spot if you're craving traditional Chinese food and want to try a variety of dumplings. The quality and taste of the dumplings are commendable, especially the lamb ones.“

“Delicious tacos and the best salsa I have had in my life. Make sure to ask for the house made spicy salsa. We tried the bistec, carnitas, pastor, and chicharrones tacos. The fresh tortillas are to die for and the woman holding it all together is the sweetest. No frills, just damn good tacos.“

“Today was my first visit to Oddwood. I’ll be back. I’ve lived in Austin since 1981 and this brewery reminds me so much of the type of hole in the wall places that kept Austin weird! I didn’t try the pizza because I brought my food in from the trailer outside. But I sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of beers. El Sonido Nuevo, a Mexican style beer and a Pool Dad, which was really refreshing on a hot day and the perfect accompaniment to the fabulous Egyptian barbecue from KG, the food truck. The guys behind the bar were friendly and offered tastes of any of the 9 featured beers on tap. I’ll definitely be back! I already love this place!“

“Drove up to this place because we were looking for authentic Chinese food ( we are Chinese ). The building from outside is a bit lackluster. Insides however is nice and cozy.
The gentleman who seated us was friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in to the time we left! Chinese restaurants aren’t usually know for their services.
Our food came up QUICK and HOT and FRESH. Very general portion. We left very full and had left over for another meal. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all kids approved. We wanted a fish but was hesitant bc of the spicy level. Our waited offered to make it non spicy which definitely suited our children’s taste.
The only thing that caught me off guard is they charge 20% service fee for a family of 5. Overall, highly recommend. Food is great!“

“The atmosphere is modern, but still relaxed, warm and friendly. Food, drinks and service were all very good and priced well. We happened to be there on 1/2 price pizza night (a deal!). Our group all felt like it was a great find while we were visiting Austin.“

“Place is great! It’s consistent with the service, food and atmosphere. Every single family and friend we’ve gathered with absolutely LOVES this restaurant. We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far. We will continue to support Austin’s favorite Tex mex restaurant and clearly the people that matter will too.“

“We stayed at the hotel and ate at Carpenters Hall several times during our visit. Our very first dining experience got off to a rocky start initially, but Tamara the bar manager swooped in and turned things around immediately. She was so amazing: attentive, helpful, thoughtful, and just a lovely human! She took such good care of us all weekend long. We had our 4 year old with us and she treated him so kind- he just fell in love with her and so did we! She really made our weekend complete! As for Carpenters Hall, the food was really delicious, fresh and clean ingredients. The service the rest of the weekend at the restaurant was wonderful too. I believe the new ownership has turned things around here. We will definitely return!“
