“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to share a little taste of Texas with my California friends.“

“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. “My wife and I went without a reservation recently and were seated right away. The food is delicious and so fresh. I enjoyed the variety of selection on the salad bar and hot bar. The Brazilian cheese bread is addictive! On top of that, the service is spectacular. Our water was never empty and our plates always cleared. The manager, Mario, also made sure we were treated well. Loved it and plan to go back soon.“

“I reserved online for my daughter’s birthday and got into town an hour earlier and they still were able to accommodate us. At the table with the menus was a birthday card with a really nice and meaningful note on the inside. Staff, drinks, and food were amazing! Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“The Commodore Estate has such beautiful grounds and buildings.
We were able to park across the street but valet is also available. Prior to our seating we walked the grounds and wished it was cooler and we could have stayed longer.

The hostest and service were so attentive from start to finish. The restaurant is so cozy with the indoor plants and it only got better as the sun set.

Almost everything we had was delicious. I wish the slices if fish in the crudo were thinner and the butter portion for the divine bread was larger.

Would absolutely come back again“

“Carpenter Hall allows for an elevated experience with a casual coziness. The indoor dining space is beautifully designed and the outdoor seating lies within a lovely patio.

They have some of the best customer service we’ve experienced, felt from the moment you walk through the door to the time you get up to leave. Each of the server’s recommendations were delicious, especially the pretzel biscuits!

We came with our, admittedly anxious, pup. Every member of staff who interacted with her was warm and kind, and it really touched us that despite her barks they remained patient.“

“My wife and I visited last Wednesday on our vacation from Minnesota. The brisket was great, the barbacoa was the best I've ever had anywhere. The onion rings were amazing and I don't personally care for onion rings. The jalapeno cheese chorizo was outstanding. As good as all those were the beef ribs were the best most perfect bite of food I've ever had... But what really stood out is the amazing staff from Evan greeting us as we walked in the door to everyone that we met so helpful kind and cheerful! Having worked in the service industry for most of my life it's always a joy to be treated so well!“

“This place is cute. Lol I don't know how to say this in another way. But! Best way to explain it. The food is delicious, bought the Spicy Chicken Sando, Mini Chirashi box, and fruit Sando(strawberry). Everything I ate was very delicious. One note though. I wish the spicy chicken fando had just a little more heat or spice. Keep the side sauce that comes with it, just make the breading of the chicken a bit more spicy. The sauce that come with it is delicious and sweet. Thats it, just one downside. Everything else is freaking good!!!!!!!! Good job guys. I see why yall run out. Anyways, great place to grab lunch, and eat outside like a picnic. Side note: this place is popular and runs out quick, so.... you gotta be fast to get it. i've been coming to this place for about 20 years back when the whole chicken was $6. Over the years the price started getting higher and I decided to start going to a less expensive place pollo rico. I haven't been to el regio in a couple of years until pollo, rico told me it was gonna be 30 minutes before their chicken was ready. Unwillingly I drove to El regio & boy im glad I did. They must've got a new cook in the kitchen because this meal was the best i've ever had! the rice has a lot of flavor now, the beans are so smoky, that chicken was so moist and not dried out like it used to be.Oh, my god, it is worth the extra cost.I will never go back to pollo rico EVER again!“

“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. They had a great DJ playing upbeat lounge music. Our server Vaden was so friendly and made some great recommendations for our meals. The salmon and braised short ribs were absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to Jackie, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Great customer service always makes a difference, and she definitely helped make our meal more enjoyable.

We tried a few different tacos, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The portions were satisfying, and there wasn't much left on the tray by the end of the meal. Between the tasty food, positive atmosphere, and friendly staff, it was exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for.
