“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!“

“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to share a little taste of Texas with my California friends.“

“My wife and I went without a reservation recently and were seated right away. The food is delicious and so fresh. I enjoyed the variety of selection on the salad bar and hot bar. The Brazilian cheese bread is addictive! On top of that, the service is spectacular. Our water was never empty and our plates always cleared. The manager, Mario, also made sure we were treated well. Loved it and plan to go back soon.“

“Carpenter Hall allows for an elevated experience with a casual coziness. The indoor dining space is beautifully designed and the outdoor seating lies within a lovely patio.

They have some of the best customer service we’ve experienced, felt from the moment you walk through the door to the time you get up to leave. Each of the server’s recommendations were delicious, especially the pretzel biscuits!

We came with our, admittedly anxious, pup. Every member of staff who interacted with her was warm and kind, and it really touched us that despite her barks they remained patient.“

“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. i've been coming to this place for about 20 years back when the whole chicken was $6. Over the years the price started getting higher and I decided to start going to a less expensive place pollo rico. I haven't been to el regio in a couple of years until pollo, rico told me it was gonna be 30 minutes before their chicken was ready. Unwillingly I drove to El regio & boy im glad I did. They must've got a new cook in the kitchen because this meal was the best i've ever had! the rice has a lot of flavor now, the beans are so smoky, that chicken was so moist and not dried out like it used to be.Oh, my god, it is worth the extra cost.I will never go back to pollo rico EVER again!“

“Great food—especially the tacos and elote, which are my favorites. The only downside was the service. The person at the front seemed annoyed and disengaged, and it showed in the experience. He forgot to include a fork with my order. I left but stopped to check, and I know he watched me. Before I even mentioned anything, I went back and he just handed me a fork without saying a word or acknowledging me. It felt rushed and unwelcoming, like he didn’t want to interact at all. He was annoyed at being there and weirdly passive aggressive about it. I went on Saturday April 11 at 6pm.“
