“First time trying them and I was not disappointed! Very tasty and well served. I had 2 of suadero, 2 of cachete, and 2 of carnitas. Of course, had to have a Mexican Coke to complete the experience!“

“Saw heaps of 5 star reviews saying this is the best birria taco in austin but tbh they were wayyy too cheesy and not enough meat. Not super crispy either, but good flavor overall, and i can see how if the ratios were different these would be top tier!“

“Wow wow wow. This place is truly a gem. I know there are a million taco trucks in Austin, but this one is pretty special.
We stopped in and split a few different tacos: chicharron and egg, al pastor, migas, and chorizo/egg/cactus. The chicharron was really tender and went well with the egg. The pastor was crazy good. It was shredded and had a lovely marinade and pineapple flavor. The chorizo was fantastic because it wasn't super greasy. Finally, the migas was super good and came with their homemade refried beans. I'm pretty sure the tortillas were homemade or at least tasted like they were. Their three salsas were really great too.
The older lady working the truck is so sweet. She gave us great service and cooked up ridiculously good food. It's like someone's little abuelita made us our meal. :)
We will 100% be returning for more.
BIG NOTE: The truck is cash only.“

“The valet at my hotel recommended 10/10. It's my first day in Austin and I couldn't have been more delighted to find such a fantastic place to grab a taco. It's a little bit tricky to find at first but totally worth it. Miguel was behind the counter when I was here and he was especially helpful. ? I recommend this place without reservation.“

“Some of my favorite quesabirria tacos in Austin. The plate comes with 4 tacos, onions, cilantro, salsa and consomme. I don't know who can eat 4 of these tacos in one sitting but it ain't me. They're so FILLING! Lots of cheese too.
This time around I tried the watermelon agua fresca and it was very tasty. A little steep at $7 but that's par for the course in Austin these days.
Great tasting birria and among the best I've tried in Austin. I have a "top 3" but none of them are better than the others, they just do things differently and all are great at what they do! Tejas is on that top 3 list.“

“Wow!! I feel so lucky to have eaten here - the tacos were incredible and Liz is so kind. We ordered the ceviche, fish tacos, and shrimp tacos, and they were incredible. Grew up eating in Baja California and this meal reminded me so much of my childhood. The seating area is also shady and nice. Must visit!!“

“We ate at Pinches for the first time on 2.03.2024. To say the tacos were insanely delicious would be an understatement! This was truly a rich experience. These tacos are made using techniques across three generations straight from Mexico! This is the first REAL Mexican taco place I’ve experienced in TEXAS, and I’m from Texas, and I’m MEXICAN! ? If you’re looking for real authentic tacos, Pinches is your place. We ate the asada taco, al pastor taco, and the torta. They were flavorful, the meat was seasoned to perfection, and the tortillas held up well. Absolutely, flawless! We asked for grilled jalapeños and onions and they were so tender and perfect for adding into the tacos and tortas. Pair this with a coffee next door at Revival, and you’re going to have a great experience. We live about 2 hours away and we’re already planning our next trip back to Austin specifically for these tacos. A MUST try if you’re in Austin looking for under the radar eats!“

“The BEST tacos I've ever had!!! I visit every time I'm in Austin, often multiple times. The staff is friendly, the outdoor dining space is airy and relaxing, and the tacos will change your life. I've had the birria, tripa, barbacoa, campechano, and pastor, but the buche is by far my favorite! They also have breakfast tacos to start your day off right. A MUST when you're in SoCo. ¡Gracias! Already looking forward to next time.“

“The tacos here are a pretty good with a sweet and sour twist. The meat tastes marinated, but the mix of flavors works surprisingly well together. It’s the only option they offer, which is an interesting choice. Be warned the spicy pink, a pickled sauce, packs serious heat.“

“Food is honestly super freaking good. I got an asada sope and 2 al pastor tacos and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I showed up 15 min before they closed (I didn't know what time they closed, I'm an a-hole), and they had the food ready in less than 10 min. 2 tacos and a sope were $13, so pretty fair for the amount of food I got.“

“De nada is amazing!!!!! If you are looking for a Mexican place look no further and come to de nada. The queso, the salsa trio, and the Barbacoa taco… I would sell my first born for the barbacoa taco. The margs are very fresh and strong. Our server Jorge is the best server in the game. I would 10/10 recommend this fine establishment!“

“This place is THE BEST. Their pastor tacos are indeed some of the tastier ones in Austin. This morning I got their Chalupita and, well, although I tried to stuff the whole delicious thing down my gullet, I was physically incapable of completing the gargantuan task and had to save half for the afternoon. Their Monster Salsa is also terrifyingly good. To top it off, their staff are EXCELLENT!!! Definitely drop by this place and give it a try!“

“Everything was phenomenal. New favorite taco spot. We ordered the chilanga torta and barbacoa, asada, and alanbre tacos. Would recommend all!
There's a store next door for drinks and a picnic table if you want to eat outside, which we did, and it's far enough from the road to be quiet.
Vegetarian options: I don't see anything vegetarian on the menu, but I bet the cook would be willing to make some substitutions with available ingredients (ex: torta or taco with egg, beans, cheese, jalapeno, onion, cilantro).
Wheelchair accessibility: There is some dirt, grass, and gravel between the parking lot and the food truck, but it looks pretty flat. No curb.“
“Truly blown away by the quality and flavours of the food - I am vegetarian and gluten free, and its hard to find food that’s so rich in taste, healthy, and delicious. The chef even came to the table to explain the dish and its flavours. Highly recommended!!“

“This was absolutely delicious! The pollo torta was fresh and delicious, we got pastor and carnita tacos, they were a little dry but with the salsa and lime, top notch. The killer was the steak quesadilla, large portion! Listen, best out of all the food trucks on the Lamar/rundberg strip. I can’t say enough about how great this food was. Getting yelled at from inside the taco truck to come get our food was a little over the top as they took our names and we said where we would be seated. If i hadnt been watching the window, we would have never known our food was ready. They definitely paid more attention to the Latin crowd that showed up after the clubs nearby closed but it is what it is. I will absolutely be back as the food was incredible despite the small details they seemed not to worry about.“

“This food truck deserves a higher rating than the current 4.7. I was told the truck has been there 15 years and tacos originally cost $1.50. They are currently $3.50, and you can only pay with cash. That is the best price you'll find in Austin for tacos of this quality. Tax is included in the price, so you pay exactly $3.50 per taco. The service is fast and friendly.“

“Everything is ordered by means of a QR code. It is then picked up in a mobile vehicle and you do not receive any additional help or support. But yes, when ordering they give you 18% service!!!! They want to charge you for a service they never provide. The food is simple but quite good. The attendance is rather informal.“

“Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line“
