We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far. We will continue to support Austin’s favorite Tex mex restaurant and clearly the people that matter will too.“

From breakfast to lunch to the special dinner meals, they all have that wonderful regional TexMex flavor you would expect from an establishment of this quality. I challenge you to give it a try. “Mama Betty’s is one of “go to” restaurants. Tonight, my wife and I went in for dinner at about 7:30 pm. They were very busy and we waited for a an extended period for our food. Finally, the manager brought our food to us and apologize profusely for the wait. He informed us that our food was on the house. What a kind and honorable thing to do. Not all restaurants would do that. Every kitchen has busy nights and sometimes waits are unavoidable. We really appreciated his kindness and will continue to come back often.“

She accepted and even treated my dad’s companion puppy, Oreo that was earlier rejected at Cafe Java off RR 620 as his service dog. Devon had no idea the rejection we felt just minutes prior and my family’s arrival was greeted with nothing but welcome at Kerby Lane.“

“The tacos here are super good and felt very clean. We had migas , potato and egg and bean and cheese tacos. They came out hot and fresh. The red sauce has a packs a nice heat that lingers afterwards but not in a way that is unbearable. Also the PRICES are so GOOD. It is rare to find somewhere you can get $2.50 tacos from in Austin but this spot is it. Highly recommend. Friendly service as well.“

“Everytime I eat there. It brings back of my mom and grandma's home cooking. They have this extremely spicy Chicharone taco. But I always enjoy eating one! They serve good Menudo on Saturdays a little after 8am or so. Overall: Good food and atmosphere!!!!“

The space is tiny but quaint, filled with old-school Tex-Mex vibes that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a slice of Austin’s past. I ordered the carne guisada and migas tacos with water • both were okay, but lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. The tortillas weren’t homemade, which surprised me given how long this place has been around. I remember having a similar experience years ago, so maybe I just haven’t found my go-to order here yet. Parking was a headache; honestly spent more time circling the block than sitting down to eat. That said, the waitress was lovely and attentive, and the festive, colorful interior added a nice touch to the overall experience. Cisco’s is undeniably cool for its legacy and local roots, but I’d love to see the tortillas elevated to match the heritage. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I respect what they represent in Austin’s food scene. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“A small shop at the back of a convenience store with limited seating on the other side of the store. The gentleman (Tino?) working was very friendly and pulled together the order fast. Servings were stout and tasty, which I was very grateful for. My friend got standard breakfast tacos. I ordered the gordita with pastor spilling out the sides. They were out of barbacoa. Good stuff.“

“Taco Deli is my go-to for breakfast. The grab-and-go tacos are perfect when I'm in a hurry: always fresh, full of flavor, and ready to go so I'm in and out in minutes.

What really makes this place special is the service. There's a gray-haired gentleman (I believe he's the manager) who remembers me every time I come in and goes out of his way to say hello. Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! The Enchiladas were so flavorful with the fire roasted Verde sauce.....highly recommend“
