Just like you can't rush a good smoke, you shouldn't rush a customer and the guys behind the counter helped each customer with patience, laughter and knowledge. We got it all!! First time in Austin and first BBQ in Texas so we wanted a baseline to compare all other to! At this time, it's gonna be rough for anybody to compare, everything we ate was solid!! The Beef Rib is melt in your mouth, fall off the bone, perfect meat fat ratio, smokey delicious goodness and completely stole the show! The other meats are great with that tender smoked goodness but the beef rib is where it's at! We tried three sides as well and the Mexican Corn is off the chain delicious! Smokey, spicey, creamy and addicting! Black's has been doing this for 90 years and it shows, everything was the best! We'll be back and highly recommend you skip the lines at the other places and head over to The Original Blacks!“

From the curly upside and downside mustache to the tasteful sassy frill of his ensemble. Head to toe adorned in eclectic vibes touching on Jimi Hendrix a lil southern charm with a psychedelic twinkle.

Little did we know we were about to be taken on a culinary journey of glorious bites and laughs. Every recommendation addressed in fine detail and satisfied to an unfathomable degree. Pancake flights adorned the table. The buffalo chicken crispy sandwich was moist, buttery, tangy and crunchy. A plethora of flavors well executed and served with pride. Ion took it up himself to show up as one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Classy, curious and full of life. This experience was Austin!! Kerbey Lane Cafe provided the flavors and Ion provided the experience.

“Phenomenal sandwich. Easy counter service. This is one of those places you would go to 10x as much if the prices were cheaper, as it stands, this will be my “every once in a while” places. “I've been eating here since they opened and can say they do a great job. Food is solid, ever changing specials menu, which includes drink specials also. Service is good, never had a bad waiter/waitress, and prices are decent. Love the guacamole, and the burger is one of the best (Hawaiian bun). My only complaint is that they do not have the Red Chili Fries on the menu anymore. Bring the fries back! Other than that, you can't go wrong with eating here!“

“Migas poblanas taco was ahhh-mazing!! Chef's kiss for how amazing this taco was! It was loaded with both flavor and texture combos that made my foodie heart happy. House made corn tortilla in this taco was delicious! I usually judge a Mexican food place by its sauces and wow they didn't disappoint! Flavor packed with the perfect amount of heat in all 3 sauces. Found my new Austin favorite!

“Arrived without a reservation but were quickly seated in patio area. Took a little while to take our order but it was a busy Labor day weekend. I was disappointed by limited beer selection, no XX, no Michelob Ultra??? We ordered the fish and chips and the Pan Roasted Gulf Grouper, both were tasty, but pricey for the portions, I think. Sides are ordered separately. May think twice before going back.“

I would not get the chilaquiles, the eggs were not cooked properly so it made the plate very hard to eat for my husband.

“Benu is a great idea for coffee, they also offer pastries to accompany. The congress location offers plenty of seating and free WiFi. This coffee shop stays open 24hrs so if you’re even in the mood for coffee at 3am, they are here for you. Parking is very limited during normal business hours.“

“I visited this establishment for brunch to commemorate my daughter's birthday. The establishment is situated within the Driscoll Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed the Texas-shaped and Texas-sized waffle with berries, while my daughter opted for the Austin breakfast. Both dishes were delectable. I also sampled the breakfast in a cup, which was equally delicious. The ambiance of the establishment is truly captivating and exudes a sense of historical significance.“

“Purchased a 9 inch carrot cake for a birthday. Was a little disappointed in the cake in that the icing was way, way too sweet and the cake itself was a little on the oily side, like maybe it wasn’t cooked thoroughly enough? We enjoyed it, but it was just too sweet to eat much more than a few bites at a time. I suggest that the icing be made with more cream cheese and less sugar, if that possible. The cake could have had more spices added to it.“

My wife has a slightly sensitive stomach and it is all sitting very gently with her, Reminds me of the 60's when friends would throw together a little eatery - all about the food w/ a funky atmosphere. Esters is all about the food w/ the ambiance being comfortable in a keeping Austin weird and very un-pretentious Ethiopian way.

Vegetarian options: On the buffet there is a veggie section and a meat section as pointed out by our lovely waitress.

Parking: Parking appears sufficient for the number of tables It is a small place in an old funky building

Vegetarian options: Available and marked. Vegetarian/vegan dishes can be made by removing meat stuffs from current dishes (or just get the vegetarian options)

Parking: Parking lot but it is a little small for serving 2 other restaurants.

Kid-friendliness: You can remove/add anything. You can have noodles in broth with meat, or put everything into the same bowl.
