Salty Sow Reviews
Friendly, professional and welcoming staff. Authentic Austin vibes. Truffle deviled eggs are my favorite and they never disappoint. We really loved the korean bbq pork belly with collard greens and white beans. Food, drinks and staff were all well above average.
This was my 2nd time visiting Austin self coming to the Salty Sow, a local brought us last year so I knew what to expect. This time I entertained a business group, and the quality of the food, diversity of the menu and attention by the staff was superb. A must visit while in Austin! Two incredible items were the complimentary Chicken and Biscuits and the Beiniet dessert. Oh my goodness, incredible!
Great service, great redfish, great Asiago flounder, great Tempranillo wine. Great complimentary dessert cake to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary! Thank you Salty Sow-Austin!

Salty Sow is a top choice for cocktails and food, making it ideal for bringing out of town guests. Known for having the best charcuterie board in Austin, it offers a fun atmosphere, great service, and amazing dishes like the burnt end appetizer with grits, duck fries, and collard greens. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced, with a menu that changes but consistently delivers great options. Customers love meeting friends and family here for appetizers and drinks, often praising the delicious food and attentive service. Popular menu items include the deviled eggs, duck fat fries, honey dipped chicken, pork shoulder, and the standout bananas foster beignets for dessert. The atmosphere is funky, reflecting the Austin vibe, though the noise level can make conversations difficult. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has a decent-sized parking lot, which can be awkward and crowded. Salty Sow is highly recommended for a memorable dining experience, whether it's a first visit or a return trip.
