“I love this place. The cowboy bepop & brussel sprouts are my go to. Staff is always very friendly too and the drinks are great.HOWEVERI HAVE MADE IT MY MISSION TO SPREAD THE WORD THAT EVERYONE SHOULD AVOID MIDTOWN COMMONS APARTMENT AT ALL COST! IF YOU WANT TO LIVE NEAR VIGILANTE, DO NOT SIGN A LEASE AT MIDTOWN“
“First time trying this very welcoming restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Brandon was our server and took the time to go over the menu and helped us decide what to order. The food was spectacular and full of flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try something different. You will not be disappointed.“
“The bartender at the Hilton Canopy recommended this spot for us as we were checking out various places to go in downtown for drinks and bites. My friend knows her bourbons and the bartender suggested this should be our first stop on our "tour".You walk up the stairs to Swift's Attic (downstairs is The Elephant Room jazz bar, which is also very cool) and the decor is a mixture of beautiful old wood with modern touches. The bourbons line the back of the bar wall, so we sat at the bar to peruse the selections. Nate was the bartender and was extremely knowledgeable about all the bourbons. (He was a connoisseur himself!) My friend and him talked up various bourbons and bourbon "trees" of various distilleries. She wanted to try something different than what she had enjoyed in the past. Nate made some excellent suggestions I was told. I'm more a vodka drinker and Nate made me various specialty cocktails as I told him to surprise me (and boy, did he ever!)Since we were there for happy hour, Nate provided the associated menu, and we selected the "Rillette & Focaccia" plate. It contained chicken, chorizo, a bourbon gel, avocado purée, pickled onions, pecans and toasted Focaccia bread. Nate said you spread the ingredients of choice on the bread, and he recommended putting all the ingredients together as the flavors all complement each other. Boy, was he right again!I highly recommend this place if you love bourbon, specialty cocktails and attentive and knowledgeable service. Ask for Nate and you will not be disappointed!“
“Went for Sunday lunch/brunch. Service was quick and attentive, and the food felt very fresh considering the restaurant isn't crazy expensive. There's also an extensive outdoor playscape and patio for families. Would come again for sure.“
“I haven't eaten here as their kitchen has been closed on my visits. Good bar/pub though with a decent selection of beers and a very serviceable Guinness poured! (The bartenders are also really fast to take your order and make sure your glass isn't long left empty! Excellent service)“
“Wow! Brick's Pub is a real hidden gem. The food was delicious and the service was great. Prices are very reasonable and the vibe is kinda upscale, but Bribk's is cozy and inviting at the same time. There is a big outdoor covered patio and kids are always welcome.“
“Been here multiple times and as always, service was great, Sean was our waiter and he was great. Showed up at the perfect times and was easy going and heightened our experience. The kitchen staff make the best food! Salad was amazing, green chili Mac and cheese was amazing! And whoever made our steaks Wednesday night cooked them perfectly. It is still the best steak we've ever had!“
“Came in to play some darts and boy are they set up for it. First time there and using the digital scoreboards(which, if you're like me and suck at math, much less with two beers in you is a god send), but every single person working was super friendly and welcoming and showed us if we had any questions as well as introduced us to a new dart game we'd never played. It can get a bit smokey, but that's part of the old school vibe. Great priced drinks, food looked awesome, will be coming back for sure.“
“One of my favorite places to grab an amazing cocktail, not only is the service always amazing but the drinks and the food are continually superb. The gin gimlet is my absolute favorite and the house made lime cordial is out of this world.Ashley, one of the waitresses there is also an absolute angel and loaned me her jacket on a chilly night on the patio. Can you even ask for anything better than that? Every server that we’ve had is a true gem, and every bartender is an artist, I cannot advocate for this place enough.“
“Great beer, good food and the service, well, it wasn’t terrible. Beagle B just wasn’t that friendly. I sat at the bar with a buddy for more than 2 hours. It wasn’t very busy and when I went back to order more beers it was like he had never seen me before. I’m terrible with names so I thought well, I get it. Although I agree with everyone making a living wage, I don’t agree with a gratuity being added without me knowing about it. 15% is way below what I normally tip and even though the service wasn’t great, everything else was. So to be forced to pay a gratuity is something I find frustrating. Especially since even though the service sucked, I would have paid more. I feel that the service might not have sucked if Beagle B actually had to work for his tip instead of it being handed to him. If you decide to work in a tipped environment, you should have to earn that tip.“
“Burgers and Fries were great. The ahi sandwich was surprisingly delicious and sweet potato fries, and regular fries were both equally delicious. Will definitely make this a regular spot. The seating was a little confusing. Otherwise, great experience.“
“Service was a little bit slow as it took over 15 minutes to get water after asking for 2 minutes to decide on a drink but water to start would be appreciated. The tables across from us had a different server, seated way after us, and had drinks on the table within minutes of being seated. The food is always excellent at Oasthouse. Unfortunately, my steak came out dull and room temperature. It clearly had been sitting for too long while waiting for my husband's pork dish to be ready. Our server was extra busy (I assume) as she didn't check in very often. Once we finally saw her, we let her know that my meal was cool to the touch. She admitted that she noticed it had been sitting for awhile before she brought it over. Manager came over and made things better with vouchers for our next two visits. The refired entree was much much warmer. We will be back since the mistake was handled well, and we understand these things happen when it's busy.“
“Amazing experience visiting Austin and going to Hopfields. I spent over 30 min trying to find the perfect restaurant for my mood which included craft cocktails (single cube a must), creative food, and a good atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in, and the other guests were also kind and welcoming. They ran out of the duck wings I wanted but the chef offered to make me something special with duck which was absolutely amazing. I also splurged on the oysters and they were so good...I live in Seattle so I feel spoiled with oysters but these were above par in comparison. The bartenders are mixologists and know what they're doing. It's really a calming and nice atmosphere with good music at the perfect volume and great for sitting at the bar or having a group.Well done and thank you for the experience!“
“Mmmmmm!!! So incredibly delicious! The crab cakes were so yummy, melt in your mouth with amazing flavor. The buffalo cauliflower was breaded so well and tasted so good. Great selection of beers as well. Friendly staff and classy environment ✨ wish I could try everything on the menu!!!“
“I was there recently for a work event and our server, John, was delightful! The service was outstanding and I can’t recommend this place enough for gathering some friends up. The food is some of the best I’ve seen in downtown and they have amazing draft beer options.“
“Fabulous time with friends. Ate. DrankBowled. Appetizers. Meal. Dessert. The servers, bartenders, and manager were steller!! The evening was truly wonderful, with the exception of one hostess. However, everyone else made sure to compensate for that one mishap.“
“We made a pit stop at the Salty Sow on our way from the airport to Georgetown, TX for the ellipse viewing. Nothing was disappointing. From the shrimp hush puppies to the duck fat fries and the charcuterie board, no morsel of food was spared. Our party of 6 including 4 year old toddlers also sampled burgers, the shaved beef sandwich and the tacos and everything came out quick, fresh and delicious. We saved the best for last with the raspberry pound cake. I'm a true Southern girl and I normally don't try pound cake unless it's made from my kitchen. But this one was worth it ... They didn't cut corners with Sara Lee. Lol.I'd definitely give this place another go when I return to Austin. Food was amazing, ambience was wonderful and the service was superb.Kid-friendliness: We were seated outside which has table top seating which might not be as great for kids who are just really learning how to balance themselves outside of. High chair. My for year olds did fine but just something to not.“
