“Incredible. The drinks and food were insane. The broccoli dish we had was the best thing I've had in a long time. The service was also outstanding. Super pleased with our experience!“

“A true Austin experience and the best staff, in total, that I have encountered in a long time. The staff and the retro setting set a really unique vibe in the restaurant. Food was very good with the spanish octopus and the rib eye being the highlights. Good, well selected wine list (even if markup is a little high) and a great bar program (Secret Beach on tap at a restaurant....thought I was dreaming).
Chelsea (Manager) was patient with my indoor / outdoor table change requests, despite being a very busy night. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive but not disruptive, and just plain cool....in fact I would say that about all of the serving staff.
Overall one of my best fine dining experiences in Austin. BTW, the outside patio is perfect.“

“Our recent experience at Salt and Time Butcher Restaurant was a memorable one, albeit with some ups and downs. We were excited to explore their offerings, especially their biodynamic wine selection, but our visit had its share of challenges with the service.
Upon asking about biodynamic wines, our waiter, Michael, seemed a bit uncertain and there was some confusion when we discussed pesticides. Despite his efforts, which we appreciated, he initially indicated they didn't carry biodynamic wines, only to later suggest that all their wines were biodynamic. This inconsistency was surprising for a restaurant of their caliber.
As the evening progressed, there were a few lapses in service. Despite Michael's enthusiasm when discussing his favorite rooftop wine from Italy, he unfortunately forgot to bring the wine we ordered and later the frites that accompanied our steak. It took a couple of reminders before we received them, and there was a mix-up in timing despite his assurances.
However, despite these minor hiccups, the meal itself was exceptional. The steak was cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh and delicious. Once we finally received them, the frites were outstanding and complemented the meal wonderfully. The wine, when it arrived, was polished and enhanced our dining experience.
Towards the end of the evening, Michael apologized sincerely, acknowledging that he was a bit distracted, and graciously offered the frites and wine "on him." His unique farewell, thanking us as "astronauts jackolopes" and recommending the "wine bible," added a memorable touch to our visit.
It's regrettable to hear that Salt and Time Butcher Restaurant will be closing soon. Despite the service challenges, the quality of the food, particularly the exceptional steak frites, will remain a highlight of our dining experiences.“

“This is a small, cosy restaurant with a fusion of Mediterranean and Indian flavours using local, seasonal ingredients from Texas. The restaurant offers a four-course prix fixe menu with sophisticated and creative food (Time Out Worldwide) (The Texas Tasty).“

“My wife and I have been going to Dai Due for almost a decade, and it’s consistently excellent. I highly recommend the pork chop—it’s the best you can find.
For date nights, we usually sit at the bar. The wine list is nicely curated, and the bartender’s recommendations are great. I didn’t think Texas had good wine until I came here.
When we have out-of-town guests, this is a great spot for a local Texas food experience. We love the focus on quality ingredients and wild game. The lard and sourdough are teriffic.
Brunch is also fantastic and worth checking out.“

“By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! The food is magnificent, atmosphere is perfect for fine dining and intimate dinner! My husband brought me here for my birthday Jan 6th and I’m still thanking him. Chef Erik Trotman took care of us and the servers were on point and very attentive. Go check them out for yourself, you definitely will love it!! I“

“Visited Austin once again and came across this highly recommended hidden gem, lovely intimate ambiance.
The menu is truly creative, with mouthwatering seasonal flavors that did not disappoint!
We started with the PSC Old Fashioned, which was absolutely spot on—thank you!
Here’s what we ordered:
Adagio Salumeria Fiocco: Served with perfectly flavored figs.
Ouefs Mayonnaise: The mayo had a perfect hint of garlic and was beautifully seasoned.
Zucchini Fritti: My absolute favorite! The green mint dipping sauce was a delightful pairing.
Butterscotch Squash: A standout dish—perfectly cooked and served with roasted fall nuts and butter. Truly heartwarming!
Grilled Eggplant Salad: I have a weakness for eggplant, and this dish hit the spot. The peppers and light vinegar paired wonderfully with the delicious bread.
Blistered Habanada Peppers: These were a perfect complement to everything.
Oyster Mushroom Pizza: Wow! This was absolutely amazing—definitely a must-try!
Sausage and Shishito Pizza: A hit with the boys. The tomato sauce was perfection.
Pork Schnitzel: Expertly breaded and seasoned, with mustard that was the perfect accompaniment.
Finally, for dessert, we enjoyed the seasonal Crostata with olive oil ice cream and sea salt—a perfect ending to an incredible meal.
Thank you, Chef Chelsea Fadda, for such a wonderful experience!“

“I was impressed. Every dish we ordered was unique and bursting with flavor. The wait staff was amazing and service was fantastic. The details of each dish made this restaurant stand out. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time where I truly felt it was a unique culinary experience and you can really feel how much love the chef is pouring into each entree. Worth every penny.
Be aware that this is modern Asian food integrated with Austin flavors. If you want something traditional, this might not be for you. But, take it from me, you should give it a try with an open mind. Best food in Austin. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to write this since it was so so so good.“

“Really enjoyed this! The only reason for 4 stars is there were a couple of dishes that weren't as delicious as the others. Highly recommend the Ants on a Log salad. The MASH game on the back of the menu makes for a great date activity.“

“Had a wonderful experience at Arlo Grey. We had the oyster mushrooms, burrata, cappelletti, hen and swordfish. It’s family style so we picked a few different dishes. The desserts we got were the sourdough ice cream and banana pudding. Personally the desserts were my favorite! The food was all delicious, seasonal, local, beautiful, seasoned well and large portions. I purchased Kristen Kish’s cookbook. While there she came to our table to meet us and sign my book. She was lovely! Great night and I can’t wait to go back. The service was top notch too.“

“I come here all the time for dinner and or drinks with my wife and kiddo. I come for the atmosphere, and especially the service and friendly faces. They, specifically Stewart, the manager at AKB, is always happy to see us, greets us by name, and takes care of us. Such friendly and genuine human beings. When my 4 year old some walks by the front desk, he gets a small trinket, a rubber ducky or puzzle. I will prioritize any venue that makes my child feel special (and keeps him occupied ?.) It’s my go to watering hole.“

Our drinks were refreshing and the menu interesting. We settled on their cheeseburger, one of the best I’ve ever had. Next time there will be oysters!“

“I want to give a shout out to a wonderful new restaurant here in South Austin, specifically the Brodie/Slaughter area. It's called The Local, and it's a delight. The decor is warm and inviting--no chrome or glass and no tvs blaring sports. We were pleased to see that the place was busy at 7 on a Tuesday, it's such a welcoming sound. The food was perfectly prepared and artfully presented, simple, no frufru. The service was terrific, sharp, prompt and helpful. We met the owner and were delighted to learn that this is not part of a chain or even a 'group' as they call them now, but a single family operation. We'd love to see them succeed, if only for the slightly selfish reason that it's nice to go to a good restaurant without having to drive a long way. It's just a few minutes down the street and you may be sure we'll be going back. We need more of these kinds of joints down here. Fair warning, it's not cheap, but then what is these days?“

“My wife and I took our kids to Space Cowboy for my son's birthday and had the best time! The food and service was 5-star. I wanted to say how great Jared was at serving our table. He was knowledgeable of every aspect of every dish! This restaurant competes with any restaurant in Austin for creative, delicious, and experiential food. The robot food delivery tracks are awesome! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!
Kid-friendliness: Our kids are both under 10-years old and loved this place! The room makes you feel like you are floating through space and sky because of the lit up moons and fun clouds with dark navy and purple walls/ceilings. Our kids loved to take the food off the robots. We felt very comfortable with them there. It has very nice restaurant food but a really fun, relaxed atmosphere.“

“The food: presentation and flavor are beyond compare. The quality was amazing! The ambiance was wonderful and historical. I was the only person dining, so the service was a little slow considering- but she was awesome. Highly recommend. Quantity of the food seems small for the price, but the food is filling.“

“We visited "STELLA SAN JAC" during our Austin trip... and we had a great time. We tried several of the best and most inspiring cocktails we've ever tasted. Manager Edwin put us at ease with the best comfortable service, and every cocktail he recommended we were very impressed with. I will definitely recommend my friends to visit this place, I want to go back and try the cocktail again on my next business trip.“

“I've had Olamaie on my list for awhile and finally had the opportunity to dine there. It was outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. I've been dreaming about the catfish, Red Rice Calas and my birthday dessert all week! Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is a small restaurant in a cute little house. They do have some parking in the back. The decor and ambience were calming but once the restaurant filled up, it was very loud. That's the only reason I took off a star. The staff were great and explained and made suggestions from the menu. I felt catered to and it was great. I can't wait to go back.“

“The pasta here was SO yummy! Our group couldn’t agree on which dish was our favorite - mine were the Gnochetti, Johnny Cakes and PB&J dessert! The Wagyu dish was ok. Service was friendly but not super attentive to our group, which was disappointing based on the caliber of restaurant.“

“I really enjoyed this place. I had the tomato egg and cheese biscuit and they let me customize it with some bacon — it was delicious. The biscuit was not too dense and fluffy enough to not hurt the roof of my mouth. I’ve been to other biscuit places in ATX and they’ve been extremely crowded and hectic, but this place has a really nice outdoor seating area so I was able enjoy my food in peace with the added benefit of bringing my dog along. Generally, a 10/10 experience.“

“I really love the salads and bowls at Dish Society. It's a bit pricey, but that's just food prices everywhere. Here you get high quality ingredients for the cost. My friend ordered the tacos and they didn't look great so I'd stick with the salads here and try brunch. I tried a side of the cilantro rice and it barely had any flavor. Their desserts and other treats look good though. I'm very glad this place is in Mueller despite some misses on the menu.“

“Found this great spot in Lakeway Texas by luck. I had a Southern Burger and a Steak Wedge salad. The waitress then told me that first time visitors get a sample of their chocolate cake. It was perfect! Waitress told me all about the history of the establishment and why they call it the League (I won’t ruin it for you). Good food, good people… give them a try.“

“I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. Everything was so good.
First off, there’s plenty of parking in front and to the side of the restaurant (although the side parking may be for the liquor store next door). The spots are wide and could accommodate the huge SUV we rented.
Our waitress, Selin, was superb. She was attentive and remembered our entire order, without needing to write anything down!
We were a party of 4 with 3 dogs. We made a reservation for the patio because we had our dogs with us. We were seated at a corner table on the patio, which gave our dogs more space to roam while leashed and tethered to us.
It was pretty hot and humid outside (we came here on November 7, 2024 at 1PM). There were lots of flies and mosquitos around. Thankfully, halfway through the meal, the waitress put out a mini fan on our table to keep the insects away from our food.
For appetizers, we got:
Striped Bass Crudo - the fish was fresh and flavor was great. A bit too tart for my liking, but still very good. My partner said this was the best, but he usually really likes very sour and tart foods.
Burrata - very delicious. Had the right amount of sweetness from the glaze and great textural contrast with the nuts.
Deviled Eggs - my favorite appetizer! The truffles really put this dish up there. Usually I find truffles gimmicky, but they worked really well here.
Potato Chips (with cheese) - my least favorite appetizer. The chips were good but the dip tasted too much like cottage cheese for my liking.
Fried Shrimp - this was SO GOOD! The shrimp were huge and cooked well. Not too much breading either. The accompanying sauce was good too.
For our mains, we got:
Fried Chicken Sammie - this was really good. The chicken was very crispy and moist and tender on the inside. The slaw on it wasn’t overpowering. And the accompanying sauce was good.
Steak Sammie - I did not get to try this, but my friend said it was ok.
Farro Bowl - This was the best dish we got. The salmon was perfectly cooked: flaky with a crispy skin. The faro was also a good textural and flavor contrast.
Plancha Burger (protein style, buns on side) - At first, this looked mid (you can see in my photos). But, when I dug into the patty, the meat had such a good texture to it. And the flavor was amazing! I could tell that it wasn’t just a regular old frozen patty from the grocery store. The pickles and onions were also subtly tart and sweet, which I really liked.
Our friend originally booked a brunch reservation here so she could try the birthday cake dessert, but the waitress said that’s only served during dinner. We didn’t blame her because they close up at 2PM for brunch, and it was already 2:15PM by the time we finished our entrees and asked about dessert. However, our waitress was so amazing!! She asked the chef and they said they could prepare the dessert for us because it was my partner’s birthday. So, she brought it out with lit candles and added it to our bill (she gave us a new one because she already printed out our bill).
The price was fair for what you’re getting. Things ranged from $12-$22.
Overall, the food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. I highly recommend coming here when you’re in Austin!
Parking: There are 10 or so spots in front and maybe 8 spots on the side (though the ones on the side may be for the liquor store next door).“
