“The best food in town. We were there with our team and we ordered almost everything from the menu and loved everything we ate. Their speciality is more about beef, pork and fish and they are perfect at it . Their menu keeps changing and chicken options are not available . Servers were gentle, kind and helped in choosing. I highly recommend this place.“
“Best food in Austin….no question about it. I wish Google let me give 10 stars. This was the best meal I’ve ever had in my life and I like to consider myself a food snob. Along with the exceptional quality of food, Phil provided exceptional service. We got a bottle of wine and didn’t refill our own glass once (on a packed night nonetheless) Ask for Phil and you’ll have a taste of a Luxury dining experience.P.s. get the a crab cake. Thank me later“
“What an experience!! This place deserves all of the hype and is definitely worth every penny!! My boyfriend surprised me with dinner here for our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it such a magical and memorable night!!We started with some champagne, and then got the “nice spice” and another cocktail I don’t remember the name of but they were delicious and had so manny different flavor profiles. We ordered two of the warm crab tarts and they were delightful. My boyfriend ordered the halibut and it came with this smoked butter sauce that was absolutely to die for. I ordered the 8oz dry aged wagyu steak, it was so amazing, who knew you could pack so much flavor into a meal! We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our familly and friends! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you to the entire Hestia staff!!“
“4/1/24We dined at around 7:30 P.M., and we enjoyed some very interesting food! Our waiter was very nice and informative. We got a bit intrigued by the salmon egg mayonnaise appetizer, so we ordered it. Although it was 'interesting' to see and try...we had no idea that it was prepared with salmon eggs on top of the devil egged concoction. The burst of salmon egg with the somewhat boiled egg...was not a favorable appetizer. We would NEVER suggest it. 1/10 (the one rating comes from the good mayo)The fish meal on the menu was REALLY GOOD! The buttery sauce that is generously given on the plate the pan-seared fish was placed on top of really made this meal exceptional. The preparation of it was great. I wish there were more food on the plate, though (or that a good bread accompanied it). 10/10 RATING!My dinner friend ordered the pork chops with the cabbage slice. I would rate that pretty low, though. The cabbage slice was grilled, and some of it was grilled too much to enjoy. You MUST TRY THE BEET SALAD!!!! IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 RATING!!The cheese board for a dessert was great, too... The cheese selected and the jelly was delectable. The tea that is used tastes really good. The ART WORK in the restaurant is pretty and joyful to see! Our waiter allowed us to look at the book that was prepared on each artist that has art exhibited in the restaurant. You would enjoy reading about them IF you have the time.“
“Perfectly prepared Seafood, comfortable but elegant ambiance, and a great location. A nice high end but low-key spot right near the iconic Austin music spot, Antone’s.The kind crab was perfectly cooked. The braised greens had the subtlest kiss of Serrano pepper. It is seafood with a whisper of the south. The chef is James Beard award winning MASHAMA BAILEY of Savanah, so that makes a lot of sense. The vibe was relaxed but high-end.They bill this as a southern spot. I think it is more a seafood place with a whisper of the South (not to be confused with “Texan cuisine” a cousin but something entirely its own thing.)The restroom is hard to find - it is in the hotel lobby but they do not have good signage. It is buried in the back of a second elevator bank area. They have a neon sign in a different spot announcing that it is NOT the restroom - but nothing of its equal to show you where you should go / where it is.They set up shop diagonally across from Eddie V’s (seafood and chop house) which has been there for decades.Vegetarian options: This was the one area of real opportunity: there were very few options for a vegetarian / vegansDietary restrictions: Greedy for keto and gluten allergy folks!Parking: No garage. No street parking $15 for first 3 hours of valet.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible throughout“
“We were blown away by this place! Service was outstanding, but the food was next level. We ordered the salad, shishito peppers and nuts for an appetizer and then came the smash burgers. Everything was so good! We finished our meal with the best carrot cake any of us have ever had. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!“
“I've never walked outside a restaurant smiling so much, the food was instagram worthy, my server Cameron was extremely helpful and attentive, all of my allergies were catered to. Even after eating you feel energetic and light because the food is so healthy. Cocktails are amazing I would definitely come back and bring friends !P.S. K was so funny when she dropped our cocktail off.P.P.S. Take lots of instagram pics and tag the Well. They will add you to there story.“
“We were debating leaving the hotel for dinner. I'm so glad we didn't because the food here is amazing. I'm so thankful they were gracious enough to accommodate us arriving near closing time. As a whiskey gal, the Summertime Old Fashioned was made very well. I loved the Blue Crab & Artichoke Dip. Very flavorful. The Chile-Glazed Organic Chicken was delicious. I'd love to know how they perfected the crisp. ? And the Gulf Shrimp and Grits was very tasty. I loved their spin on it with the charred corn and it was very rich. I'll definitely be back!“
“The food was delicious. We started with the burrata with their and amazing sourdough bread as well as the cauliflower. The next course was The duck and dumplings and bucatini. Both were also very good. For the main course order the pork chop. It was the star of the night.“
“Good restaurant on a prime scenic location in Austin! The ambiance definitely makes up a big portion of this rating and the experience. The interior design is very well done and I was impressed from the moment I walked in to the moment I got to my seat. The view is stunning and the barriers are clear glass. Don't forget your sunglasses or you might have to face away from the view! At night they pull these clear garage door-like things down. I was surprised to see how full the establishment was for a Wednesday night. It must be super crowded on weekends. No wonder they have a large waiting area. The food was good. We were recommended the hummus with naan - the hummus is made in house and very smooth, and the naan is crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. They kindly granted our request when we asked for more naan. From the time we ordered, our entrees took about 45 minutes to arrive. I definitely appreciated how a lot of the menu items give the option of a small or large portion, with the small portion typically being 4oz of meat and the large 8oz. The small portion is still sizeable but may not fill you up. We got the pepper steak risotto, truffle risotto with steak, and the sea bass. The truffle was too prominent but the sea bass was good. The highlight for me was the blackberry cobbler. The cobbler was hot and crisp and it was filled with blackberries. Unfortunately, service was a miss for the most part. When we showed up, there was no one manning the front of house, so a line formed. We had a reservation, but weren't seated immediately and were told to sit in the waiting area (fortunately it only took a few minutes to be seated). However I went to use the restroom and they seated my friend that I came with and told her that they would catch me when I came out of the restroom. They didn't. Additionally the waitress for our table was good but there were others who came by in between - one who said he would return with water and never did, and another one cleared all our utensils after our appetizer (we had to ask for utensils from our main waitress again). This place is great for a range of occasions, from a casual outing where you still want to impress, to a date, to a girls' night out. I saw some people dressed pretty casually, as well as people who dressed up. Overall I'm glad Quince took this location by the water next to Mozart's! It is a much more upscale alternative to Hula Hut next door and the perfect establishment for this location.“
“Garrison at the Fairmont Hotel exceeds expectations. The food delivers , the flavor profile of Texas BBQ delivered as a fine dining experience. The wood burning cooking really takes everything up a notch . The setting is hip & the service impeccable.?❤️“
“I was on my way out of Austin when I had just the right amount of time to indulge on a breakfast. Boy was my belly happy to leave Texas with this as my last meal. I ordered the fried chicken with the biscuit and the biscuit was so perfectly done. The chicken crispy (and felt like more skin than meat but as a whole it was still good) and although it didn't come with it, I dipped mine in the hot sauce that the empeñada came with and it was delicious. The empeñada was yummy and the deep fried hash brown muffin concoction is pretty epic. Our server was 10/10 loved her energy and recommendations. She was all the things we need in the service industry and grateful we had her! All in all, if I'm back in Austin, I'd definitely make a pit stop here again!“
“This was genuinely the best food I've ever eaten. It was fresh and perfectly cooked I couldn't find anything to critique. If you go I promise it's the best meal of your life dude. And the two dudes who cook are super cool and will talk to you and recommend stuff amazing cooks.“
“As an avid fan of delicious food, it's hard not try these extravaganza of flavor options. Also they're open late and quality is always high. The visits I made were during SXSW at the busiest peaks and they still brought fantastic service. I don't think there's much anyone could do in that atmosphere of waves of customers... It's just very very busy. Get in, get on it, get out full.“
“We decided to stop here to do some sort of activity on our vacation and it quickly became the highlight or our trip. We booked ahead of time and got a nice room that we shared with one other group, it was the perfect mix between going out but not being overwhelmed by the crowds. The drinks were amazing, the food was tasty and great for sharing. We were pleasantly surprised by the replays and pictures that we received while we were playing. Countless memories were made that day, I couldn’t recommend going to this place more, 10/10 experience!“
“This place is cute. I definitely thought it would be more modern inside, but it's actually kinda a retro vibe (eg when I went there were a solid handful of older folks/retirees getting lunch). I didn't even remember it was here until I was looking for a lunch place in south Austin and saw it on the map. The food is good, it didn't absolutely blow my mind but I definitely enjoyed it! I had the cottage pie (kind of like shepherd's pie) for $18 and my mom had the strawberry salad for $14 which was fresh and good as well. The portion sizes were reasonable; my mom's salad was large and my shepherd's pie was smaller but dense. I left feeling fairly "neutral" (was VERY hungry beforehand). Our server and the hostess were very sweet and attentive as well. Overall I was hoping to get brunch here but they only serve brunch from 8-11 on weekdays and 8-2 on weekends - I came on Tuesday at noon. But despite the fact that I got lunch instead of brunch, I was satisfied. Will come back some time to try brunch!“
“I came back for dinner haha. And wow chefs kiss for everything. Service, food and vibes were all stellar! Me and my bf shared the mussels, pork belly and truffle fries and we honestly can't stop thinking about it. We also shared a bottle of wine that I felt wasn't outrageously priced. I wish I got pictures but we got caught up in the moment. Would def recommend for a dinner date“
“I had the 1, 7 and 10. All fantastic! This is the only place open, in the domain, after 2 am that serves great food at great prices. The tacos are on flour tortillas and none of them disappoint. I haven't been to the other locations, or the kids meals...but this is definitely the go-to Saturday night in the “
“Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place. Food was delicious and flavorful. Favorites: Pullman bread (pictured), linguini, and fried cauliflower. Loved the South Austin Iced Tea cocktail (chai) as well!Service was great. Emma was super attentive, patient, and gave great recs.Atmosphere was lovely too!“
“I've been back for brunch and dinner on numerous occasions. Brunch is still terrific whether it's the Benny or the zucchini bread or the popovers or... Burger is big and juicy. We've never had a bad fish. Done holiday take out too. It's fun to sit at the counter and watch the kitchen action. The prices remain reasonable. Enjoyed sitting outside for a change.“
“I always enjoying eating at Ranch Hand! Their menu is fairly condensed, but they have great options. Their organic bowls are made with locally sourced ingredients and everything tastes so fresh. I always add a fried egg on top and it never disappoints. Very cozy and cool atmosphere with a coffee/pastry shop located right next to it.“
“Cool place to hang on a weekend or usual evenings☺️Tried nice and clean, chicken salad sandwich and fries.Taste -> delicious (must try ? salad sandwich)Price -> inexpensive than fast food comboQuality -> freshOverall -> 5/5Atmosphere is great.“
“What a wonderful start to our anniversary! Jillian was incredibly nice and attentive; she absolutely made our special day even more special!I had the best smoked salmon benedict of my life thanks to her suggestionThe food was quick to come out and brilliantly made10/10 would recommend ??“
“Absolutely fantastic. Do NOT skip the biscuits, the warm crab and bacon dip, the red fish (!!!) and the white chocolate cheesecake. We will be thinking about this meal for a long time - it was that good. Our server was wonderful. Five star from start to finish! Run, don’t walk.“
“the hostess was super sweet, the water person never let our glasses get empty, and the waiter was amazing! super quick and attentive. the food came out fast and omg was soooooo good. we did the prix fixe menu and every course was amazing. they also gave us a free champagne toast for our anniversary.“
“Came in on a Thursday afternoon, had Tati as a server. She was great, came around regularly to see if we needed anything and always made sure our glasses were full. Had one small problem with one of our dishes but the manager Sarah took care of it.“
“Loud bustling atmosphere that you would expect from a popular restaurant on a Sat night. The staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. Flaky scallion swirls were amazing with the the truffle butter and sweet bean sauce to lather on top. Very flavorful, flaky and super buttery and soft. We also had the Liang Ban BBQ Pig Ear which was spicy and really nice flavor and it numbs your mouth. I could only have a little as I'm not a huge fan of the Mala peppercorns but my husband enjoyed it. Same with the DanDan noodles - strong Mala pepper flavor. The husband said the DanDan Noodles were the best he's ever had so far. For dessert, we had the black sesame soft serve which was delicious. TIP: scoop from the bottom when eating the soft serve or you'll end up with a bunch of tapioca with your last few bites. My favorite was the flaky scallion swirl.“
“Really cool place...nice music and vibe--even a small stage inside and some nice seating outside tarped up for the cold and wet winter. I met my best friend here who was visiting from Florida (she used to live in Austin) and she putme on to this place. Really nice vibe and great food...had a veggie plate I think and also avocado toast. Cheap drinks and beer selection was solid. A very nice place to hang out--gotta return w my wife next time...definitely coming back for brunch and jazz. Service was stellar too, btw. 5 stars.“
“I have been here numerous times and each time I am hesitant to come back because I think to myself “how can this possibly beat the wonderful experience I has last time?”. But without a doubt they always manage to one up themselves. Inventive menu, eclectic wine selection and exceptional service + neighbor hood vibe. Top 3 restaurant in Austin. Makes you feel like you are at home.“
“Our favorite restaurant in Austin bar none. With a variety of seasonal offerings, Bryce Gilmore's tasting menu never fails to disappoint. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, providing impeccable service that lasts 2+ hours. Barley Swine's environment is calm and comfortable creating the perfect ambiance to enjoy a meal with friends and family. This impressively splendid culinary experience is worth every penny! Reservations are highly recommended.“
“Very cute restaurant! The interior design and extreme attention to detail was impeccable.Didn’t have reservation, but we were seated right away. The servers and the chef were extremely nice and personable. The food was delicious, my favorite was the smashed potatoes with the beet hummus - a MUST try! ?“
“Great service, food can be a mix but always prepared well and hot to table. Music can be a touch loud sometimes but expected. You may find yourself shouting across the table or bar. Excellent tap selection ? If you like beer and food, this place is a staple!“
“Consistent and full of energy kind of vibe. The manager get makes a point to come by your table to make sure things are going well kind of place. Has become one of my go to spots for lunch business meetings and dinner with friends. Super yummy foods.“
“The bartender at the Hilton Canopy recommended this spot for us as we were checking out various places to go in downtown for drinks and bites. My friend knows her bourbons and the bartender suggested this should be our first stop on our "tour".You walk up the stairs to Swift's Attic (downstairs is The Elephant Room jazz bar, which is also very cool) and the decor is a mixture of beautiful old wood with modern touches. The bourbons line the back of the bar wall, so we sat at the bar to peruse the selections. Nate was the bartender and was extremely knowledgeable about all the bourbons. (He was a connoisseur himself!) My friend and him talked up various bourbons and bourbon "trees" of various distilleries. She wanted to try something different than what she had enjoyed in the past. Nate made some excellent suggestions I was told. I'm more a vodka drinker and Nate made me various specialty cocktails as I told him to surprise me (and boy, did he ever!)Since we were there for happy hour, Nate provided the associated menu, and we selected the "Rillette & Focaccia" plate. It contained chicken, chorizo, a bourbon gel, avocado purée, pickled onions, pecans and toasted Focaccia bread. Nate said you spread the ingredients of choice on the bread, and he recommended putting all the ingredients together as the flavors all complement each other. Boy, was he right again!I highly recommend this place if you love bourbon, specialty cocktails and attentive and knowledgeable service. Ask for Nate and you will not be disappointed!“
“AKB hotel bar inside The Archer Hotel.Friendly, attentive and prompt staff and service.Lovely views, welcoming atmosphere and cozy Texas ambiance, restaurant is kid friendly and conveniently located inside The Archer on the North side of The Domain area.Brick oven pizza while very cheesy was just okay. Menus included a variety of unique appetizers, entrees and signature drinks. The bartender offered a small sample of selections we were considering which was a nice option.Would recommend stopping by if in the area.Parking: Parking available street-side or in the Nordstrom parking garage. The Domain also offers valet service.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly seating areas, inviting and interesting area .“
“I have not been to Austin, so I can't review the food at this point. But I bought a nice guitar from Lucy's. Communication was prompt and professional, the shipping was very quick, much quicker than expected. And the case was boxed up with tons of padding and bubble wrap, so that it could likely have withstood a car running over it. Fantastic packing job! And inside the case even more final touches were added to protect the guitar. 5 stars is not enough for this transaction. Easily 8 stars out of 5 for far exceeding expectations. And the beautiful Flying V inside-Gorgeous top to bottom, front to back and the case is also excellent! Thanks Lucy's FC - I'll have to come to Austin to try your food. If you sell guitars with that kind of service and passion then the food must be world class!“
“One of the best restaurants in Austin, hands down. Unusual dining experience since you have to order in the front as opposed to be seated then have your order taken, but it seems like it frees up time for the servers, who are very attentive throughout your time there. Looking forward to returning.“
“The restaurant was super cute and clean the staff were very friendly. I LOVED the food. The honey biscuit had so much flavor and I loved that it was not just an overly processed chicken patty but actual fried chicken! The menu was super simple and easy to read as someone who is easily overwhelmed and never knows what they want. Cheers to them for making my day:)“
“Had an amazing meal this evening! We had the coconut curry squash and it was probably the best we’ve had in recent memory. The owner came over and chatted with us and is very sweet. Highly recommend! Definitely should check this place out.“
“Could not have asked for a better experience to celebrate a milestone birthday. The staff was so accommodating, the pocket dining rooms on the enclosed patio are so clever, it felt like upscale private dining. The redfish was DELICIOUS. Jordan was a great server, she struck the right balance between attentive and giving us privacy. WILL BE BACK!!! ♥️♥️“
“I visited for Saturday brunch with family. We reserved about a month in advance (partially because I’m from out of town). It is a beautiful restaurant and aesthetically appealing. They have a basket of blankets near the door, which I love the idea of! The toilets in the restroom are European style, so flush takes a while. You may think that’s an odd addition to a review, but it would save you time waiting for the other stall to open up. Parking can be tricky, so plan accordingly. The food was good, not life-shattering. I got Migas and it was different than any migas I’ve ever had. Not horrible, just different. Some of our items had to be sent back because they came out cold. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting.“
“The blue corn lobster hush puppies were the bomb so was the Rattlesnake Sausage. Scallops were excellent and elk loin is a must. The burnt carrots are a must as a side and you absolutely must finish off the meal with the ancho chili chocolate cake!“
“Had a girls night out for my birthday and Estelle's was a great time. Normally they have a DJ and it can become a bit of a "scene" on the weekends so we went early to have more of a chill experience. The bartenders were very friendly and made good cocktails. Service isn't very speedy so be prepared to wait a bit based on what you order. Group seating downstairs is hard to come by but the bar is surrounded by elegant stools on all sides so you should be able to post up there with a smaller group or date if you get there early enough. I do wish their cocktail menu was more extensive (and creative). They only had one bourbon-based cocktail and it was as straight-forward of an old fashioned as they come. Very much enjoyed it, but would have liked to see them experiment a little more. Most of the cocktails were on the sweeter side, so I preferred the Estelle's Old Fashioned to the other things I tried. Granted this was from the summer cocktail menu so I'm sure the options will evolve over time as they introduce new seasonal menus. We split a few appetizers and enjoyed every bite. The truffle fries, hushpuppies, and pork belly were presented well and plated in a way that made it easy for sharing. I'd recommend all! I don't have any true complaints about the experience. It was a gorgeous venue with good food and drinks, but if I'm paying $16 per cocktail I'd rather go someplace with a more impressive cocktail menu.“
“Cute installation of this restaurant chain with a relaxing vibe. Perfect for quick lunch meetups, kid friendly, and close to free garage parking.Vegetarian options: Fully customizable bowls that include vegetarian and vegan options. Several items are both vegan and gluten-free.Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten-free diets with *amazing* mac and cheese. Everything on the menu is clearly marked.Parking: Right across from the blue garage at The Domain.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphere with healthy menu options to sneak in a round of veggies.“
“Amazing bar with live music (well at least on Thursday when we stayed here). They have superb choice of cocktails with the Southern-tex-mex influence: try their signature margarita! We ordered lamb (!!) sliders, waygu beef (!!!) burger and the wings. The wings are not like what you expect - simple buffalo, they are smoked and glazed. omg - they are probably the best bar wings I ever tried. pic is attached“
“A great place to bring your pup, there are great bark rangers who keep an eye on the doggos all playing together. They’re kind and considerate and understand dogs are dogs, but also ensure a healthy and friendly play time. My dog Loki loves it here! The bar is great, the staff are also lovely! Great selection of beers, wine, cocktails etc.If you’re hungry you can just go to Camp Out outside the gates.“
“A friend and I went here for drinks and appetizers and it was a great experience. Kaleb, the bartender, was so helpful describing the cocktails they made and making great suggestions to suit our tastes and preferences. The food was amazing and the ambience is so cool.It is nice to have such a cool spot to go to without having to head downtown.“
“Drinks is the dive to be:2 coin-operated pool tables, high backed sex lounge esque booths with framed photographs of old greats, themed DJ nights, casual outdoor picnic table seating. Built to socialize with locals, service is always kind, and vibes are bright and grimy.“
“(I liked my meal here better than Paperboy, shh don’t tell anyone). Got the big brekkie with a side of fruit. Everything tastes great and the lightly dressed greens were perfect to cleanse the palate. Great, subtle iced tea. Got seated right away at the bar. No complaints.“
“We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a great experience. Our favorites were the goat ragu pasta (great meaty mouth-feel and textures), grilled broccoli (deviled egg sauce and pepita seasoning make it so layered flavorwise), raspberry sorbet (amazing raspberry flavor pop!). The cornbread is always perfect. We got the wagyu strip and weren't super impressed compared to everything else. The steak itself wasn't seasoned much so you had to coat it in the sauce (which was delicious). I normally just like a steak seasoned well without a sauce - so you just have to let go of that expectation. It was incredibly tender. Just not the right choice for me, but glad I tried it. Draft Palomas were strong and delicious, salt foam is addictive. Glad we ubered to and from. Servers and food runners are all great!“
