“We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a great experience. Our favorites were the goat ragu pasta (great meaty mouth-feel and textures), grilled broccoli (deviled egg sauce and pepita seasoning make it so layered flavorwise), raspberry sorbet (amazing raspberry flavor pop!). The cornbread is always perfect. We got the wagyu strip and weren't super impressed compared to everything else. The steak itself wasn't seasoned much so you had to coat it in the sauce (which was delicious). I normally just like a steak seasoned well without a sauce - so you just have to let go of that expectation. It was incredibly tender. Just not the right choice for me, but glad I tried it. Draft Palomas were strong and delicious, salt foam is addictive. Glad we ubered to and from. Servers and food runners are all great!“

The bartenders are great and the food is fresh and creative. We added to short rib and hummus to the combination spread plate and it was so good and so filling, it limited us trying anything other than the shrimp appetizer. Which was good not great.“

“Super cool that they change the menu daily. I really wanted to try their fish, but they said they sold out due to the crowds from the eclipse? My family and I dined family style. We got gumbo, grilled shrimp on top of greens, meatloaf, and fried chicken ending with beignets. The food was really good. I wasn’t fan of how they run service. We ordered everything at once. They have servers walking around, but they don’t physically check on you just look at you. Had to track down a server to get the beignets even though we had already ordered them and finished our meal. I enjoyed the food, the service was ehh.“

“When I was an actual college student this place scared me, it looked old and it didn’t seem like it’d match my alt/whatever vibe but now that I’ve started coming here I wish I could go back to my younger self and slap em.This place is good, like surprisingly so. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or… the beer. They have an incredible selection of beer at a good price, a price college students back then and today can afford. The grilled cheese is amazing, and it’s a little known secret… but the vegan dog, let’s just say if you’re vegan/vegetarian they surprisingly have a good selection of food for ya. It’s bar vegan food but it’s damn good. The staff really makes this place even better. From the bartenders to staff they bring personality that ya don’t find much anymore, it’s a real neighborhood bar despite being tailored to the UT crowd. You’ll find a mix of folks who’ve been coming here since the 80/90s and fresh turned 21 year olds. It’s a great place to watch the Texas game on Saturdays and nfl on Sundays, and apparently they’re a west ham bar on Saturdays when the EPL is on.Whether you’re visiting Austin as a UT Alum from the 90s or a 21 year old current student, I recommend this place as a good, still affordable spot to grab food, drink and have yourself a good timeVegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and veggie dog which are very good, never had any salads here so can’t speak on that“

“If you like whiskeys, well, you're in for a treat and the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. Tacos in the middle of Whiskey bar, Mezcal bar and Rum bar are just genius (and very tasty). I'm in my 40s and I love the mixed crowd here, I don't feel like the oldest as I do in some places, not the youngest( even though this is very rare lately lmao). Cool environment, cool people!“

“Had the strongest coffee of my natural life here yesterday. (What kind of coffee do you guys use, seriously?). I haven’t slept in over 24 hours at this point and I fear I may never sleep again. So if you’re looking to be ALERT in all caps, get the coffee here.“

“The drinks are incredible! I was shown this place recently by some friends. It feels almost like a little speakeasy. It has a super cool vibe to it. With both an upstairs and down stairs with completely different feels to it. They also have multiple drinks without alcohol!“

“COOKIES IN THE DAQUIRI TRY ITYou HAVE to go here. This lovely woman Tiernye tearyne? (tear-uh-nay i don’t even know how to spell restaurant okay?), she is the heart and soul of daiquiris okay?? You have to listen to her suggestions cause she NEVER MISSES. I let her do her thing and I had the best drink of my life. Also go for your birthday cause she WILL make it special. She made me a White Russian/banana bay with red velvet Oreos then cut it with make your own cause it was a little sweet for me. It’s my new favorite it’s so good. She also made my bf a virgin cherry with cheesecake, whip cream, and cookies, it’s TO DIE FOR! So good! I recommend this place for everyone ever. Also they will let you sample anything so you don’t get a drink you don’t want cause who wants that?“

“We came in Saturday night, the place was packed but we were still greeted quickly by a Michael who was great and lively. He was the best part of our groups experience. Pretty cool to have someone from Ireland make the place feel like an Irish bar with his wit and stories.“
