Crown & Anchor Pub Reviews
Met some friends at Crown and Anchor recently. We used to hang out there in the late 90's early 2000s. The burgers were as good as I remember. The place was also cleaner than I remember.
Classic longhorn hangout. Cleaner and better beer than the old days!
Great neighborhood bar vibes at this place! Great staff and food. We enjoy having lunch here and watching the UT football games.

The Crown & Anchor Pub is a popular spot known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent service. This local hangout has remained true to its roots, offering a fantastic beer selection and decent non-alcoholic options. The kitchen serves up tasty food, with standout items being the vegetarian burger and veggie dog options. Visitors enjoy a lively vibe, mixing with a diverse crowd that includes pretentious graduate students, yuppies, bearded old hippies, and random stragglers. The pub is well-known for its fun darts league nights on Wednesdays and is often referred to as a local "Cheers" where regulars are greeted warmly. The atmosphere maintains its loyal, dive-bar charm and nostalgia while keeping the place clean and well-maintained. The food truly was a highlight for many, with the double cheeseburger and fries being especially praised. The iced tea is also noted as an excellent addition, showing the quality of the operation. The staff are praised for their quick, attentive, and friendly service, with bartender Paige receiving particular compliments for making every visit superb. The pub features covered outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing and enjoying good conversations with friends while having a beer and a burger or sandwich. It welcomes guests 21 and up and is pet-friendly, providing treats and water bowls for furry friends. Visitors have also appreciated the reasonable prices, including cheap beer and good tacos. The large beer selection, varied food menu, and helpful staff who can recommend local attractions make this place a favorite spot in Austin. Overall, Crown & Anchor continues to be a great place to enjoy a fun night out, reconnecting with its loyal customers and attracting new ones alike.
