“It was a fun experience! They did have wine for those of you who don’t like beer! Wine was good. Their choices in Belgian beer was good and they are served in cool glasses. Lol. It was pricey, but that’s Austin, in my opinion. But it’s a neat little place to escape to for a minute. Location is great and there’s outdoor seating.“
“Not only a friendly staff the food is absolutely wonderful. I tried all three of the special burgers (chicken, black garlic, and the hot stuff) and they were delicious!!! The real centerpiece of it all is the loaded fried which have a vegan spare ribs on top. If you ever need a bite please give this place a try!“
“Stopped on my way to the airport for a few tasters. Electric jellyfish was all over austin so decided to swing by the brewery. Nice open space with outdoor seating. Staff was highly knowledgeable about the beers and helpful with suggestions. Didn't try any food but want to go back for that. See you next time!“
“Very polite staff. I wish I'd caught her name, because our server was so sweet when I sent back the Jellyfish salad and she let me sub it for eel. There wasn't anything wrong with the jellyfish - it was well put together, and if you like spicy, tangy seafood dishes, then PLEASE give it a try.The eel was phenomenal, though. Sweet and savory, it practically melts in your mouth, and it goes very well with the caramelized onions. If you were our waitress and you see this, I was a little too shy to thank you as much as I wanted to. I really appreciated your patience and kindness. We were the fourtop in the booth right by the door.“
“Great neighborhood bar. I think the chicken wings are some of the best in Austin. Their burgers and fries are also very good. The atmosphere is also great, I seem to meet interesting people out on the deck almost every time I’m there, just a fun place with good food.“
“This was our first time going here and it was fantastic! Started off with such a friendly welcoming by their staff towards us but most importantly towards our dog (who of course LOVES attention). The pizza was so delicious and they provide such great hospitality. Will most definitely be returning!“
“This place has such a warm vibe. Great in the morning for espresso and lovely later in the day and into the evening for beer or a glass of wine. It's easily overlooked because it's in a multi-tenant building, but I love having Burnet Go-To in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a comfortable spot to go by yourself or to meet others, I highly recommend Burnet Go-To.“
“We came in Saturday night, the place was packed but we were still greeted quickly by a Michael who was great and lively. He was the best part of our groups experience. Pretty cool to have someone from Ireland make the place feel like an Irish bar with his wit and stories.“
“Came by with my wife to kill an hour before eating at Foreign & Domestic. It's a cute place with a nice sitting area out back to go with the inside atea. We ordered some pimento cheese w French crostinis and pickled vegetables to eat with our drinks. My wife enjoyed an N/A equivalent of an aperol spritz ehile I had a bourbon sour w bitters that was pretty tasty. The salt on the crostinis and strongly pickled veggies paired perfectly. Nice music--mellow--played in the background and our bartender was friendly and very helpful identifying my drink choice. Happy Hour had some great deals, too. We'll be back.“
“Couldn't love the Front Page more! The sandwiches are always bomb, the tomato basil soup is ? and the folks who work there are the friendliest bartenders in town. If you're lucky and show up when Porter is behind the bar get a bloody Mary. You won't regret it!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan sandwich options“
“Snarked out em embassy, then call me eambassador. Ram assault on all fronts let's go!! I was across the line cuttin brake lines on car, needed to get a tipsy tipsy turvee l, turban all crooked.Don't order anything that takes the overgrownd sny effort to the tee. I did faulted by order un 'Manhattan' . The jester behind the imaginary sphere of power went "NJUH WE AINT THET KIMD OF BAR" I guess I'll take w coagulated lonestars instead (I made wrongs) I do recall falling through pane of glass spilling my curdled chalice and refueling with guffaws from the 'Oafmen' bar keep. I did recall think alright this is gonna be a bloody one. Despotic rule overrun by pesticide smell, don't even attempt to feign logic. Avoid the regulars, they are a new breed of insane. Fedora/mutton chop wearing one extra much so. Sushi slaves abound from my time on Lamar when I spend my $$Cracket and racket from every snark given mouth for the first time in the dive bar scene, I represent as I get over servered the room is spinning. Down with the brown I chuckle and there goes another. Bum w cig and creep out upon the unfettered populace, they have no recourse. If they play "war pig" by Ozzie asbourne again I might rip the felt up, let's do and say we didn't. If they play more and any of the illegal movies, might record and send to the FCA. Pay to play by Jo's, pay to play buckos.“
“Cool little neighborhood dive bar. We stopped after a game at q2 yesterday and ordered 2 brentwoods, straight bourbon, and also a "happy meal."Good prices and tasty drinks. I really enjoyed the brentwood and my buddy appreciated his whiskey which was old grandad. Cant go wrong with a happy meal anytime... (lone star and shot of whiskey)“
“Great place to hang out and have some tasty snacks. Montreal fries were delicious and disappeared quick! I loved the cheese and meat board, very unique! Pop corn was fantastic and the pretzel was perfect with their delicious homemade mustard!!! The smokey rye specialty drink was superb especially with the garnish ❤️Parking: Lots of spots but may have to walk some“
“I haven't eaten here as their kitchen has been closed on my visits. Good bar/pub though with a decent selection of beers and a very serviceable Guinness poured! (The bartenders are also really fast to take your order and make sure your glass isn't long left empty! Excellent service)“
“We got to Suds a few times a month and love it! This time we had it delivered and it was the correct order, delivered quicker than expected and they even came back with drinks for us. They’re awesome and amazing customer service,on top of delicious food and drinks!“
“This is your quintessential pizza and bar neighborhood place where you can either grab a drink as you're picking up your order or bring the whole family. Hands down, best wings in the area, order the Toss wings with a side of spicey toss for dipping. The team is great. Good beer and wine selection, the people are super nice and the food is good. Plus they support all the community teams. Love this place!Kid-friendliness: Great patio - covered in the colder months, plus an open yard for kicking the ball around.“
“One of the few bars in Austin that has no problems with showing Jeopardy on the TV with the sound on. For some reason all other places refuse to have the sound on because "people want the music on", when those people are like one or two old men drinking “
“You walk in and order from the bar and choose to leave the tab open or close out. It's self seating and they will give you a number and bring your ordered items out to you.I ate the deviled eggs and the gumbo. The deviled eggs were so creamy and delicious I only would of added more hot sauce for July liking but they were good. The gumbo was warm and flavorful, it had a lot of green chilies in so it was a little spicy.“
“Overall e Enjoyable. Has an outside s Sports Bar feel. Small classic sit down bar and "To Go " order location just inside main doors. Large conjoined outside eating are with classic wood benches accompanied w/ Large TVs. Pizza is decent, c Caso was decent as well.Parking: Directly in front of establishment. And street parking directly off of First Street.“
“My little hidden burger and beer joint! This is truly a place to unwind after a long work day or catch up with friends. It really is a little hidden if you don't recognize the right exit. Service is always fun and funny. They make the day go by with a funny sense of humor. If you don't get, don't come lmao. Good and draft beers are on point!“
“I've been coming back to this bar ever since the first time I've stepped through that door. This is the best hangout you could ask for outside UT campus. If cheap drinks, pool, darts and corn hole are something you're obsessed about then what are you waiting for?? It's never a dull moment here and everyone who comes is extremely nice and is here for the same reason you are. Now sometimes you have to fight for those pool tables but honestly that's part of the fun. Now the bathroom is where the magic happens. It's always a party and a great place to retreat too if it's getting a little too loud. You'll make friends in there and more.“
“This is a decent bar to kill a little time before a movie at The Alamo Draft House. The drinks aren't cheap, but they do have a good selection of spirits. I've found service to be acceptable; I have no complaints. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for drinks, but if I'm coming for a movie, stopping in is worth it.“
“Stopped by because I saw a sign that said cheapest drinks on 6th street. They weren’t lying at all. Went from paying $9 for a well drink to $2 on a Tuesday. Also saw some good live music from James Hearne. The bartender Michael was very nice and knowledgeable. Kept me entertained throughout the night.“
“Chill vibe (for 6th St) which I appreciate. Live music downstairs, games and TVs upstairs. I respect that they have a shooting protocol in place. So when there were shots fired outside the staff calmly ushered everyone upstairs, turned up the music and kept the drinks flowing. Lol. Good times.“
“One of my favorite places to grab an amazing cocktail, not only is the service always amazing but the drinks and the food are continually superb. The gin gimlet is my absolute favorite and the house made lime cordial is out of this world.Ashley, one of the waitresses there is also an absolute angel and loaned me her jacket on a chilly night on the patio. Can you even ask for anything better than that? Every server that we’ve had is a true gem, and every bartender is an artist, I cannot advocate for this place enough.“
“Let me start by saying this: Darwin Piano Bar isn't just another bar in Austin. It's an experience. Tucked away (hint: that's part of the charm!), this gem offers an unforgettable night fueled by incredible music and an intimate atmosphere. The star of the show, without a doubt, is the live band. These talented musicians aren't your average piano bar players. They possess an almost supernatural ability to play any song you request. No, seriously. From classic crooners to obscure indie hits, they tackle it all with impressive skill and enthusiasm. It's like having your own personal jukebox come to life! This interactive element makes Darwin Piano Bar unlike any other venue I've been to. The crowd becomes a chorus, singing along to everything from childhood favorites to forgotten gems. It fosters a genuine sense of community and shared joy that's truly infectious. But the magic doesn't stop with the music. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, crafting delicious cocktails that perfectly complement the ambiance. The low lighting and plush seating create a sophisticated yet inviting space, ideal for catching up with friends or enjoying a romantic date night.Whether you're a local Austinite or just visiting, Darwin Piano Bar is a must-do. It's the perfect place to unwind, unleash your inner rockstar (through enthusiastic singalongs, of course), and experience the true spirit of Austin's vibrant music scene. In short, Darwin Piano Bar gets a resounding 5 stars from me. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!“
“So my friend and I are the crazy tias in spirit. We went here on a Thursday and it was a lot of fun. Not busy but still fun. Clean space, decor was nice and well kept. People were nice. No problems in the parking lot besides a dude with mental illness but that's everywhere..... Tejano night is on Wed.“
“Great beer, good food and the service, well, it wasn’t terrible. Beagle B just wasn’t that friendly. I sat at the bar with a buddy for more than 2 hours. It wasn’t very busy and when I went back to order more beers it was like he had never seen me before. I’m terrible with names so I thought well, I get it. Although I agree with everyone making a living wage, I don’t agree with a gratuity being added without me knowing about it. 15% is way below what I normally tip and even though the service wasn’t great, everything else was. So to be forced to pay a gratuity is something I find frustrating. Especially since even though the service sucked, I would have paid more. I feel that the service might not have sucked if Beagle B actually had to work for his tip instead of it being handed to him. If you decide to work in a tipped environment, you should have to earn that tip.“
“Amazing experience visiting Austin and going to Hopfields. I spent over 30 min trying to find the perfect restaurant for my mood which included craft cocktails (single cube a must), creative food, and a good atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in, and the other guests were also kind and welcoming. They ran out of the duck wings I wanted but the chef offered to make me something special with duck which was absolutely amazing. I also splurged on the oysters and they were so good...I live in Seattle so I feel spoiled with oysters but these were above par in comparison. The bartenders are mixologists and know what they're doing. It's really a calming and nice atmosphere with good music at the perfect volume and great for sitting at the bar or having a group.Well done and thank you for the experience!“
“Unforgettable nightlife awaits at the Moose Bar in Austin! With its unique moose decor, expert bartenders, and lively entertainment, this bar is a must-visit for anyone looking for a wild and fun time. Ready to party? See you at the Moose Bar!“
“This place is unassuming. You walk through the outdoor patio to get inside to the bar to order. It's a basic bar, so we ordered vodka and tonics. The pours were generous, and the prices are very affordable. They do serve food, but we ate dinner right before going here, so didn't try anything. The patio area allows dogs, so we sat out there to enjoy our drinks and visit with the pooches.“
“The bartenders are always on point with service, they are funny & very welcoming. They have a good variety of drinks and I just found out they have chilled coffee! I love to go there and play their Firelink games, so much fun! I had an issue with the money machine one time and the owner was just so super sweet and checked it out for me. The place is always clean and smells great! The atmosphere is unbelievably fun with a great variety of music being played on their digital jukebox. There is no food served there anymore, so I cannot leave review on that. Everything else is fantastic!“
“Baker St. Pub had a great band on St. Patty's day, green beer, and plenty of Guinness to go around. Table wait service was good considering how busy they were. Also tried the Shepherds pie balls, which were pretty tasty.A good time for all and fun!“
“Friendly dive bar, at least it was at 2pm, you kinda get the feeling things change in the evening when you walk into the Boyz room and the sit-down has been changed to a standup. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the sunny day and watched the creatures go “
“When I was an actual college student this place scared me, it looked old and it didn’t seem like it’d match my alt/whatever vibe but now that I’ve started coming here I wish I could go back to my younger self and slap em.This place is good, like surprisingly so. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or… the beer. They have an incredible selection of beer at a good price, a price college students back then and today can afford. The grilled cheese is amazing, and it’s a little known secret… but the vegan dog, let’s just say if you’re vegan/vegetarian they surprisingly have a good selection of food for ya. It’s bar vegan food but it’s damn good. The staff really makes this place even better. From the bartenders to staff they bring personality that ya don’t find much anymore, it’s a real neighborhood bar despite being tailored to the UT crowd. You’ll find a mix of folks who’ve been coming here since the 80/90s and fresh turned 21 year olds. It’s a great place to watch the Texas game on Saturdays and nfl on Sundays, and apparently they’re a west ham bar on Saturdays when the EPL is on.Whether you’re visiting Austin as a UT Alum from the 90s or a 21 year old current student, I recommend this place as a good, still affordable spot to grab food, drink and have yourself a good timeVegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and veggie dog which are very good, never had any salads here so can’t speak on that“
