50 Best Pizza Restaurants in Austin

“We enjoyed our return to Asti. I am always happy with my Rigatoni Amatriciana (and getting a half-portion often works well for me, especially so I can comfortably enjoy more of their excellent bread! My husband got the pork special which was terrific. We're hoping they keep it on the menu or bring it back around. The staff--hosts, servers, cooks, managers--are all just wonderful. It's a great place for a special occasion, although certainly a comfortable spot for any day of the week.”

“In town for a volleyball tournament and found our way here. We are so glad that we did. This has to be one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. We had the Prosciutto and Goat cheese pizza. The first thing that you notice is the amazing dough they use. The center is thin and you have nice doughy edges to enjoy. On top of the amazing food, the staff was outstanding. With Jacob and Josh handling things behind the bar and on the floor, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.”

“Loved it, super neighborhood spot with good wines, home made pastas and wood fired pizzas. Glad this place was recommended to us. Was great to experience the Austin neighborhood vibe, could tell most of the parties around us were fun loving locals out for a fun dinner in a comfortable place.”

“The food was excellent. Started off with a mason jar trio...pimento cheese with hatch chiles, humas with lemon feta and avecado pest. All 3 of these were so wonderfully tasteful! I favored the pimento...We also had her (Maryes!) whole organic salad, with granny Smith's, caramelized Pecans, onions (and more? ) and a tasty lemon vinaigrette. I wanted lick the plate it was yummy. Pizza and pizza rolls too, very tastie. I think you'll love it too!Vegetarian options: So many salads to choose fromParking: Decent size outdoor mall, many parking spacesWheelchair accessibility: One level, while the restaurant is smaller, very friendly staff that were very accommodating.”

“I came in at 9 pm. on Labor Day, and trust me.. I felt bad about doing it. I actually left the hotel and had a place in mind. Just like every place in downtown Austin, parking was ridiculous. After getting lost for a bit, I stumbled across this gem.Josh was my server. Super bubbly personality and gave the best recommendation for dinner. I ordered the reed side salad. AMAZING AND FRESH! Loved every bite. The Halibut is what Josh recommended, and SO GLAD HE DID! DELICIOUS! Crusted Halibut with fresh lime rice. The Halibut thicker than a snicker.. lovely and hardy all around. The rice had the lime sauce that complimented the halibut so nicely. There are no words. BRAVO CHEF! Loved everything about this meal. Hit every foodie spot. Among their fine food comes a fine wine list. All wines are listed from all parts of the world, including Italy, France, and Germany. There are so many to choose from for all wine aficianados. The ambiance was super inviting and relaxing.. even coming late on a Monday. I sincerely appreciate that! Dimly lit and overall an intimate experience. I highly recommend this gem! Until next time. :)”

“Our server Matias was attentive and a professional. Matias was very well versed in the menu and made amazing recommendations. The food and atmosphere just made Quattro Gotti feel like home. We will definitely be going back and Matias has made us customers for life. The owner also stopped by to thank us for our business!”

“This is my favorite place to go out when down at office. Salads, sandwiches, calzones, and pizzas are all delicious. Service is excellent, and the staff is consistent enough that they know me and know my order even though I am work from home now so only in occasionally.”

“Super yummy New York style pizzas. There isn’t a single pizza from here I hadn’t enjoyed. You can purchase a whole pizza and customize, or you can purchase by the slice with 5-6 flavors to choose from (pictured below is the meatball and onion, margherita, pepperoni, and cheese). Overall great experience, it’s always busy but the staff is surprisingly quick with any requests you may have.”

“I ordered big orders from here for my birthday boat party and it was my first time ordering from them too. I did not expect anything at first but place’s service and pizza was outstanding!! Dev he was the one who brought out pizzas to my car right on time, he was very friendly and sweet. Everything looked just perfect and all of my friends loved them so much! I would definitely come back to support their business.”

“This is a GREAT! Old world style pizzeria...it's small and in downtown Austin and walking distance from most of the hotels. Would highly recommend. Seating is slim bcuz it's a small space but don't let that detour you.Vegetarian options: There are make your own style options as well as vegetarian style pizzas....salads as wellKid-friendliness: Cheese pizza or any other combination can be made”

“Seemed to be an "off" experience for an otherwise fantastic restaurant and location. Multiple things went awry at the end of the meal.... Two Budinos ordered and one was clearly different.....color, consistency [grainy...?] etc. Totally tasted the same but the grainy texture was...not right. Waiter was TOTALLY cool and got another one brought out... Then the checks were a bit off [other couple got the 3-course for $35 meal, +small upcharge for certain dish] and essentially, the price was never corrected to $40 for the three items and after waiting for a true 15 minutes all we got was a whelp, oh well. NOT a huge deal, just, get it right... Our check [there were two couples] showed $47 and change when we gave our credit card, then when it was swiped and brought back for tip + signature it showed $57 and change......? Again, waiter was notified and corrected the bill.... Just kinda off for a mainstay we love to go to. We will go back and hopefully some kinks are worked out!”

“Took our Italian Exchange student here to see if we could find authentic Italian pizza. He was so excited to get to speak Italian to the people there and he loooooved the pizza. Both the savory and the Nutella. Had a great visit and will definitely be going back!”

“Caesar salad, pepperoni and basil pizza, Electric Jellyfish. All delicious, great bar service, nice workers. It can get loud, and there are times when it is difficult for even two people to find a place to sit, but worth it. Also the honey pear and cannonball pizzas are delicious (honey pear is our go-to pizza). Great selection of new beers with some amazing tastes. ME LIKE.Update: we've started asking for our pizzas "crispy" to get them a little more done. It may not be for everyone, but we like it.”

“This place is for everyone. Kids. Adults. It is a place where y’all means all. We come back time after time. The pizza is always great but our go-to’s are the wings (sauce on the side for kids) and the turkey sub.The playground is a minimalist set up - which initially kept me away. Big mistake. My kids LOVE this playground. It’s possibly their favorite playground at a restaurant.Lucy was our server. She was fantastic: great with adults and kids alike. She adapted to the three different personalities and their needs all while still being her.I am gonna stake a claim: home slice has the BEST wing sauce in town. I get that the wings are small (they are organic and hormone free) but they are mighty. They advertise as NY style. I am a former NYC ex-pat myself: it’s not New York. It’s AUSTIN pizza. And it is wonderful.Vegetarian options: Not great for vegans.Kid-friendliness: Super everyone, including kid, friendly.Parking: The lot is tiny and usually packed. There is free street parking as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Fairly accessible including the restroomDietary restrictions: I love “scalping” their pizzas as a keto person. Not much for true GF people here strong chance of cross contamination.”

“My boyfriend brought me to try Via 313 and I was not disappointed at all! The services was amazing! As well as the pizza we ordered. After finding out that it was our first time, the manager came out to introduce themselves, and even gave us some cinnamon sticks on the house! It was very kind of them. But over all the atmosphere was chill and nice. Definitely would be coming back and recommending to others!”

“Great pizza beer and service. They are super efficient in getting people through the line and filling the tables. Based on the crowd, we expected a wait but were pleasantly surprised how fast everything moved, but it was still friendly and helpful.”

4.6Superb343 Reviews

“Today we stopped by for a couple slices of pepperoni pizza. Someone had the door open to welcome us in. There was no line even though the shop is obviously busy. We seated ourselves inside the kitchen and when our food arrived it was hot and delicious!”

4.6Superb329 Reviews

“Food here is very good, but on the pricier side. A 12" tuna sub was $17. Good, but not $17 good. Pizza is pretty good, my friend loved the meatball sub. We went for lunch and it was pretty busy, lots of the tables were filled but there was no line. My one other complaint is that it was really loud. They had the music playing over the speakers pretty loudly which caused everyone to talk louder, so it was pretty noisy in the dining room.”

4.8Superb200 Reviews

“I took a detour to try this place today. I was raised in Austin, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best pizza in town. The staff is extremely friendly too. You can absolutely tell that they take pride in their pizzas. I will be returning, hopefully soon. I highly recommend this place. Loooove the crust.”

“We had a fantastic experience at Il Brutto! Tomas, our bartender/server, was truly outstanding! He was so attentive, friendly, laid back, professional, and a million other positive adjectives that I could use to describe how awesome he was. He made our whole experience absolutely fabulous! Now, let's talk about the food! It was AMAZING!! We had mussels and a margarita pizza...and both were mouth-watering bits of heaven! I would give this restaurant and its service 10 stars if OpenTable would let me! :) Thank you for a wonderful evening and delicious dinner!”

“This is a vegan pizza food truck at Progress Cafe. On a Saturday night, it was a bit quiet, but that meant no wait. There is a lot of outdoor seating and a few tables indoor at the cafe. I got the Sicilian slice and you get up to 3 toppings. I chose the beetaroni, seitan sausage and smoked tempeh. I like seitan, so wasn’t surprised that was my favorite. They were all nicely spiced and flavorful. It was the first time I have had thin sliced beet as pepperoni and it was great. The vegan mozzarella is like the real thing. I also got a side of ranch which was also good. I think it’s made of cashew.Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan/vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and picnic tablesDietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsVegan food”

“I had my first VIA313 pie here from the Round Rock location. It did not disappoint. I prefer my sauce on the LESS sweet side but this sauce is very tasty, I needed the acidity to cut through the greasy-ness, which was so delicious. The sausage was surprisingly SPICY and the meats tasted of high quality. The prices were a bit high ($30 +tax for the Large Carnivore) so, I really can’t see myself coming around too often but, then again, ALL RESTAURANTS are raising their prices, so... I do prefer Home Slice, Mandola’s Italian Kitchen and Tony C’s pizza’s. I bought a pizza on my lunch hour and shared it with my co-workers. They said it was good, but not great. I would highly recommend anyone that likes good pizza to check this place out. It will be worth your time. Btw…by the pics the pizza was more of a rectangle and not square nor round.”

“Whenever I'm visiting Austin, we always visit this place! They have special limited flavors that they don't ship out regularly and might only be available on location. It's mostly an outdoor venue but even in the summer during the heat, there's covered areas with misting fans to help cool off and wasn't too bad when it was 108 F feels like 115 F outside.Everytime we've been, the staff has been amazingly friendly. Justin and Bobby were so great, just willing to converse and make sure you're taken care of. I've also never had an issue with the lines being too long (in any of my visits over the years) but maybe because I always come to visit with leisure in mind and aren't in any rush.Best beers this side of the Rio Grande for sour lovers but that's not all they have so worth coming to try different things. The food is also decent, they have pizza there and a couple of dessert offerings.Never seen the goats though, maybe one of these days.”

4.5Superb343 Reviews

“Love this place, but there was inconsistencies with the food. The chicken parm was very good, but the pasta that came with it was very bland and cold. Bread sticks were delicious, but the Cesar salad was drowning in dressing and the lettuce had a few brown spots. Wine was great and I enjoyed the live music. I'll give this place another shot because I did enjoy the overall experience.”

4.5Superb343 Reviews

“If you love Detroit style pizza this place is a must stop. I haven't had a better crust on a pizza in Austin. The toppings are excellent, the drinks are good, the service was top notch, everything about this place was worth a visit. The cinnamon dessert pizza just about put me over the top, but it really can't be missed. Do yourself a favor and visit Via 313 ASAP.”

4.5Superb336 Reviews

“My friends who are locals took me to this amazing place. The atmosphere vibes well even on a Sunday: the cover fee is reasonable because of all the free arcade style games you get, and the ciders are AMAZING. This spot is definitely worth checking out, especially if you like adult cider. Things chill out after 9pm and the parking lot fills up fast. So plan accordingly. Besides my friends being the amazing people they are, this spot was a total grand slam for me.”

4.6Superb252 Reviews

“There was a lot of wine and you could order flights to taste aplenty. Nice vibe. If I was rating this restaurant on the crispy Brussels sprouts alone, it would be a 5 hands down. The other food was good (but not exceptional). The service was surprisingly slow and inattentive. There were some great options on the menu, so I would give it another shot (if I lived in Austin).”

“Delicious pizza, I can't express enough how good the veggie lovers is. It's everything i ever wanted out of a pizza. I've been coming to the other location for years and this location is closer! Thanks for moving more north!Vegetarian options: All Vegan! :)”

“It’s in the same compound as the Vegan Nom and the ambience keeps you cool with all the heat. Loved how the person was knowledgeable and accommodated my dietary restrictions. I had a pizza without cheese since it contains potato starch and it still tasted good and was replaced with good quantity of kale and basil to compensate for the cheese.Jain friendly.Dietary restrictions: No onion, no garlic, no mushrooms, no potato”

“Cool place! Great Location! Unforgettable drinks and pizza! It's been two long days since I have eaten their Deep Dish Pizza, and I'm still thinking about it.Chicago Style pizza, perfect amount of crust to not have to wait an hour for it, too. Sauce on the top, perfect amount of cheese for gooey-ness. I should have gotten an extra for later. The drinks also stand out. Rainey Street bars are known for making their drinks special, but the one they made me was literally FIRE. (They lit it on fire) I ordered the Mai Tai, and it was delicious. I would suggest requesting it without the coconut flakes, though. The music was good. There was a Caribbean vibe mixed with hip-hop and current music on the night we were there. It is a small place at the Fairmont end of Rainey Street, so if you are making your way down, start here or end here. The pizza will be a great way to start or end your night.”

4.5Superb263 Reviews

“The atmosphere and service are about what you'd expect. Sweet girl running counter, small pizza shop vibes, sound of pans and talking in the back. But that 5 hour Hawaiian, oh mann. If you don't believe in pineapple on a pizza, you need to try that pie because it is so good. Can't say I've had the wings, but all their other stuff is all on point. Don't sleep on this place.”

“We made a last-minute decision to eat Italian after visiting the Capitol building. Everything was reasonably priced for the quality of the food and presentation. The food was really good and hit the spot, but I must say our server Carlos was superb! He enthusiastically answered all our questions and visited the table enough to make sure we were doing well but not enough to be a nuisance. I'm so grateful for his excellent service. My only reason for a 4 star is that the restaurant was quite loud. It is a restaurant, so that's to be expected, it was just a bit overwhelming for me. I did find it odd that only the servers had to wear uniforms, and the bartenders and hosts didn't. That kind of threw off the ambiance and aesthetic.”

“We ordered the pizza margherita and Cody's special -- it was loaded with toppings but the crust was still perfectly crisp and chewy. Their slightly sweet pizza sauce paired well with the salty, spicy pepperoni. #1 pizza place in Leander! We'll definitely be back-- highly recommend giving them a try.”

4.3Superb487 Reviews

“Waitstaff was amazing, patio seating was very comfortable and of course the food hit the spot. I will say it’s a bit more of an up charge than normal, especially on the deserts they outsource from the Cheesecake Factory. Overall delicious if you’re ok spending a bit more than usual, especially with family and friends.”

“I love Conan's Pizza so much I've been eating there for about fifty years since they first started and they're my favorite pizza still I love the Savage now I got my little girl some today with the thin crust pepperoni with pineapple the Hawaiian. I just love coming there it just brings such good memories to me. Now there's a piano there and people seem to like it when I play a little bit while I'm hanging out waiting for a pizza and it just makes me feel so good Conan's is the best.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly video games and old-school pinball machines are available. It's right next to Crockett high School in there lots of teenagers there for lunch during the school days. They look like they're having a great time.”

“This was an amazing pizza spot that we found in Austin. Multiple websites that rated this as as some of the best pizza that Austin has to offer and I was not disappointed. Although they have different locations this spot was a food truck next to Star bar on 6th Street. This location is good because it opens late I'm assuming because of all the drunchies. I was glad to know that they were able to split one order to two types of pizza. We ordered the ambassador bridge and also the Cadillac. Both were amazing in their own way. I was kind of disappointed that they did run out of their sausage, but we were able to replace that with ham. Although I do think the sausage would have been better I was thoroughly pleased with both types of pizza. The Cadillac was a little more sweet with the fig preserves and ambassador bridge was more savory. A good bonus is that it's next to Star bar where you can get a drink while you wait. The crust is crunchy and epic on all sides. Will get some more when I visit.”

“This place is fantastic! One of the only true Neopolitan style pizza places I've had in Austin. If you've been to Napoli, you know that the dough is very soft and chewy with lots of good flavor. Show Me Pizza executes it perfectly with a good mix of modern toppings to add their own twist! If you are looking for a true taste of Italy (without actually going to Napoli) I recommend this!”

4.7Superb145 Reviews

“Not too many places you can get arancini in Austin. And theirs is SO ooey gooey delicious. Good, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza is rarity is most towns. Add in great pasta, super friendly and courteous service and a cute, cozy atmosphere make the Backspace a real find.”

“Very good wings! Quiet and cold inside. We got the frozen margs which were strong and tasty. Had a half pizza also which we couldn’t finish, the slices are huge!Parking: It’s a small lot, I imagine when it’s busier parking might be a challenge, but I had no issues!”

“What can one say about a build your own pizza ? ?. Great selection of toppings and as much as you wish. If it comes out bad blame yourself for not choosing the right combo of ingredients. Both of ours were very delicious!Vegetarian options: There are many different choices of toppings and they offer a cauliflower crust.Parking: Parking is a shopping center lot.”

“Love love their chai but honestly, this is a fabulous spot to study :) open 24 hours, and they have a huge selection of seating. I love the lighting, the electric plugs at every table, and the huge tables. This is a good spot to study 200% and they offer food as well for when you’re hungry. The atmosphere is great. While I will say the staff is to the point, the drinks are pretty good ^^ with every purchase, you get a wifi code which is good for 3 hours”

“Food was tasty, staff nice and helpful, and atmosphere cozy and welcoming. We got the tea (which is some of the best I've had), Vegetarian Plate, Arpeggio Mesa plate, pistachio baklava, and cream baklava. All good and look forward to returning to try more!”

“First time to this location in lakeway. We came after a visit at the hospital right down the street. The best item at our table was the layered chicken enchiladas, which is the Monday special. We had some other issues but the manager on duty Thomas handled it properly, so hopefully it was just an off day. We look forward to trying this location again. Beautiful view and nice atmosphere.”

“O..M..G!! Truly a dining “experience”! Well worth the fixed price. The food was delicious . And once you got the hang of the service - waiters serving a variety of pizzas table to table - so fun, so good! The lobster bisque, Lamb pizza and bananas foster dessert pizza - my new favorite meal. One hint - make a reservation”

“Cute little place. Came for dinner on a Sunday evening. Even without the reservation, we were able to find a spot for 4. It was busy. The pizza was very good and so was the burrata we ordered. Also ordered hazelnut chocolate budino and was very good.”

“One of the staff at JW Marriott recommended this as the perfect place to senrgize and dine in an authentic Italian environment. We were not disappointed. The owners are from Northern and Southern Italy. Dishes are prepared in both styles! We were blessed to have Matt as our server! When you come, ask for Matt. He walks you through the wine selection... incredibly amazing Italian wines, his recommendations for food based on our food choices was spot on. We will return. If you are in downtown Austion, this is a must stop!”

“We were passing through Austin and simply stumbled upon this place. What a find. Great staff, great beer. If you're in the area do drop by. I suspect you'll not be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Very much geared up for veggies (and vegans), which was appreciated. As a veggie I not only felt well catered for, but the menu suggested to me that it wasn't simply lip service.”
