A friend and I went for the first time yesterday and both left smiling with full bellies. The porchetta was out of this world and my friend said the meatball was the best they have ever had. I also stole a bite and can confirm their sentiment. ;) I seriously can't speak too highly of this place. I already want to go back!“

But I want to give a particular shout out to the sides, and specifically the macaroni pasta salad side, which is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s incredibly well balanced, well seasoned, and not too sweet. It reminds me why pasta salad is still a thing. Don’t sleep on it! ? The tator tots are always perfectly crispy, and the acid and pepper in the coleslaw is perfection.“
“Best NY/NJ style pizza I’ve had in Austin and their subs are excellent. Has a pepperoni slice and split an Italian sub. The rolls they use to make the subs are fresh and monstrous- it’s not a budget sub, but unlike other joints charging similar prices, a large footlong here seems like it would be more than satisfying for even above-average appetites. I had been a few times years ago and they’ve still got it. I’ll be back to try the pastrami after a month or more of cardio. Gets a little crowded at times but plenty of space to spread out indoors and out.“

“I feel that everyone is always talking about JewBoy Burgers (which is fantastic, don't get me wrong!) but I definitely think JewBoy Sub Shop really deserves some love too! Every time I've gone it's been absolutely amazing. Everything has tasted divine, and the place has really satisfied my Philly cheesesteak cravings—and there's not many options in Austin!The staff is always super friendly and the inside has a really one-of-a-kind interior. Owner Mo Pittle has always reflected his unique background in his restaurants, and the result is consistently cool decor.I really recommend everything on their menu. “I found my South Austin sandwich shop. First off, the people working there are very nice, and seem to enjoy making your sandwiches. Today, two friends joined me and we all had three different sandwiches. They said that what they had was really good. Mine (the #16 Super Italian) was super tasty. I really liked that the tangy dressing was put on the side, because, sadly I couldn't eat the other half. However, it is in the fridge and I will have it shortly. As usual, I have to say it. “Walked into a very clean JJ with people enjoying their lunches. The guys making a large order stopped everything for a walk-in like me. Asking how I am and addressed me with Miss which made me feel good. All being so kind and sounded like they enjoy each others' company working together. My meals were done in under 5 minutes and then they continued making a large lunch for an order. I loved too how one asked for my bag of chips to slip into the bag so I would t be stuck holding my phone, two drinks and purse. It helped a lot!“

“I was desperately looking for a place to eat while my wife was in the hospital...the options are extremely limited and close very early.My son and his fiance were here to visit my wife and we decided to grab dinner and decided to try Snarf's... I'm glad we did! They were open and within walking distance of the hospital.I love supporting local businesses or smaller chains and this one doesn't disappoint! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and the food is delicious!I had the pot roast sandwich special, as did my son, and his fiance had the New York steak sandwich! All were very good and packed with meat, unlike some other sandwich shops. “I haven’t gone to this location particularly, but I’m 90% sure it’s the same owners. The location I’ve been to was in Lakeway, about a 2 minute walk from my work. The first time I came in I was greeted by kind faces. I had just finished my shift and was waiting for my mom to pick me up. When I applied for my job, they assured me I could eat for free on my break (The shifts were 5-6 hours long and we were teenagers). However, on this particular day I had come into work to discover the manager who hired me had quit, and the new manager wasn’t letting us eat for free anymore. I had no cash on me, only about 6 bucks in coins and I decided I didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of my coworkers, so after my shift I walked over to the Capriotti’s. There wasn’t anyone there but the employees and I ordered a half sandwich. I guess the guy had seen that I was exhausted and hungry, and when I approached the cash register he told me not to worry about it. I went home with a full stomach and renewed hope for humanity. The next time I went over there, it was a similar situation. I had just gotten out of work and I ordered a soup. Different guy this time. He told me not to worry about it. Both times there was nobody else there but the employees. The food wasn’t low quality either- that sandwich wasn’t skimping on anything and the soup ranks among the best I’ve had. I went there one last time a couple days ago, determined to order something (and actually pay for it this time) and to quietly tip them a bit. You can imagine my devastation when my brother and I walked up to see that they had closed that location. I won’t forget their incredible kindness towards me anytime soon, and I plan to visit this location to thank them when I can. If you are considering this restaurant, please go ahead and eat there. You won’t regret it.“

“I got the American Classic and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious, as usual. I did find out that they actually have alfalfa sprouts! Right after the gentleman preparing my sandwich had it all rolled up and stuffed in a bag I was lamenting about how you can’t get fresh alfalfa sprouts anymore because I used to always get them added to my sandwich, and he reached over to one of his trays behind the counter and held up a handful! Too late this time but I am surely getting them added to my sandwich next time! Being one of the oldest, if not, the oldest in ThunderCloud Subs, still standing the atmosphere is great, because not much has changed in the past 35+ years that I have been eating here other than a nice refresh to the exterior. The only reason they get - 1 star is because of the bathroom. It’s a hideous one-holer that is a little too primitive for nostalgia. ?“

There was plenty of parking which is always good. The facility was clean, and the service was very good. The person working also let us know the history of the franchise, which as a New Jerseyan I appreciated.
