“We had a wonderful lunch at Meat & Bread while in Austin. We split the grilled cheese. The server suggested adding the meatballs, and so glad we did. We’re also glad we split it. Big sandwich. So tasty. The tomato soup was delicious with homemade croutons. This restaurant is locally owned and operated. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back!“

“My husband and I stopped by after seeing Eddie Izzard's Hamlet right down the street. I got the Damon Bruce and my husband got thr Hollywoo. Both were fantastic (though I tried both and think i picked best). The dirty sauce was surprisingly sweet, and the only complaint I have is that it was sweeter than I would have liked. Did not stop me from devouring the deliciousness, though. I will be back if I am in the area again.“

The flavors are bursting and you can’t really find this anywhere else in town.

I will say, this sandwich is expensive. I am okay paying for quality, but for the price point they set — I don’t think you get what you pay for. $22 for a full sandwich and $12 for a half, you’re paying a lot.

“I’m not gonna lie I was originally gonna write a bad review. They unfortunately messed up our order and forgot ranch for our salad and ham for our small sandwich. I had to drive back to get the ranch and wanted a cookie to compensate for the missing ham and I was originally pissed walking in.

The gentleman in the beanie and an older gentleman who were working were both apologetic and I could tell they were genuinely sorry for the mistake. They fixed the situation immediately. I understand it’s the weekend and it probably gets busy and mistakes happen. I wish the two gentlemen the best and I left happy and I’m more upset with myself walking in mad

The Peruvian Steak Sandwich was delicious and would be my pick again. It has a mild spice with alot of flavor.
The Farm House Club was good. The bacon was thick and toasted. It was also on the larger side so it was able to be split into two meals.
The location and employees were nice.
The price was a little high but we will likely eat again.“

He always makes us feel like we are part of a local family. I spend quite literally a few thousand dollars a year buying food for my staff from here because of him. Those fries are a like a twisted wedge fry but they are nice and crispy and seasoned outside, fluffy inside. Spent $28 on my burger with a few upgrades and chili cheese fries option on fries.

Honestly it was enough for two people. So price might seem a bit steep but portions are proper. Definitely worth a visit.“

On my most recent visit, they were completely out of it. When I asked about a refund for the drink, they truly went above and beyond. Not only did they take care of the refund, but they told me I can have a free drink once it’s ready. That level of customer service is rare.“
