“My wife and I visited last Wednesday on our vacation from Minnesota. The brisket was great, the barbacoa was the best I've ever had anywhere. The onion rings were amazing and I don't personally care for onion rings. The jalapeno cheese chorizo was outstanding. As good as all those were the beef ribs were the best most perfect bite of food I've ever had... But what really stood out is the amazing staff from Evan greeting us as we walked in the door to everyone that we met so helpful kind and cheerful! Having worked in the service industry for most of my life it's always a joy to be treated so well!“

“I first tried T-Loc’s in 2015, when I was in my final semester at TXST, and an apprentice to a business in ATX. My mentor brought me to T-Loc’s after a tough week and since, it’s become one of my favorites! I’d never had a Sonoran hotdog or anything like it and couldn’t believe I’d been missing out! The food is ALWAYS fresh, delicious and consistent. I love this place so much that I hired T-Loc’s to cater a private, professional event in October 2024 and I don’t have enough positive things to say. Miguel and his team are incredibly professional, timely and efficient. This was my first event to plan and execute all on my own and naturally, when last minute obstacles popped up, Miguel stepped in and he quite literally saved the day. I’m so grateful for this amazing team and all they did for me to ensure the event was a success, means the world. As long as I’m breathing, anytime I’m in ATX, a T-Loc’s trip is on the docket!“

“Great food—especially the tacos and elote, which are my favorites. The only downside was the service. The person at the front seemed annoyed and disengaged, and it showed in the experience. He forgot to include a fork with my order. I left but stopped to check, and I know he watched me. Before I even mentioned anything, I went back and he just handed me a fork without saying a word or acknowledging me. It felt rushed and unwelcoming, like he didn’t want to interact at all. He was annoyed at being there and weirdly passive aggressive about it. I went on Saturday April 11 at 6pm.“

“Just tried Song La for the first time today. Shirley was so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). Whether you've had Taiwanese food before and are craving it or just want to try some incredible fried chicken in a cool South Austin spot, definitely give them a try. ❤“

“truly a special spot on 7th. I had the spring rolls with the house peanut sauce and they were so refreshing and a wonderful fresh start to such a fulfilling meal. For my entree, I ordered the coconut curry ramen with chicken and the broth alone was enough to have me start planning my return visit! The chicken portion was huge and incredibly flavorful. “My wife and I have been coming here since we moved to Austin. The service has always been impeccable and the food a true taste of Venezuela. Although I am Puerto Rican my wife is from Venezuela and I know we both find true comfort and love in the food they make. It will always be a blessing to see people prideful of their cuisine and hospitality of where they are from. Their service has always brighten our day to speak to such kind people and always taking care of us when we eat here. I have to say I am very disappointed in a recent review from someone who clearly seems to have no compassion for a small business or human error. Things happen and I don’t feel it’s necessary to attempt to damage a small business over something that was not even charged. Sometimes we need to remember to be kind costs you nothing. I tried the Philly cheese steak and it was 10/10 in flavor. Huge portion and even got to try a taco. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town.

“I was sent for work here in Austin from the Waco area and found this gem. Since I'm on a restrictive diet, I googled and found Hippy Eats! I have never had a falafel before but was not disappointed. Jason was nice and easy to talk to and went above and beyond in every aspect of the experience. He even enhanced my falafel with extras (we'll call it a secret menu item for now). “Chef Hong's is an awesome hidden gem, located right between two buildings. The food is freshly made and amazing, never too greasy; I loved the beef noodles, chow mein, and fried rice. Their Chinese hamburgers were also incredible. The older couple who runs it provides super wholesome service, always making sure your food is hot and fresh. A must-try for anyone looking for comforting food, making it perfect for fans of comfort food. Highly recommend!
