“I tried this food truck about 3 months ago and meant to post this review a loooooong time ago. The fact that I still think about this place says volumes.

I tried the Philly cheese steak and it was 10/10 in flavor. Huge portion and even got to try a taco. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town.

“I was sent for work here in Austin from the Waco area and found this gem. Since I'm on a restrictive diet, I googled and found Hippy Eats! I have never had a falafel before but was not disappointed. Jason was nice and easy to talk to and went above and beyond in every aspect of the experience. He even enhanced my falafel with extras (we'll call it a secret menu item for now). The smell of the food from the ride back to work was delicious and the taste was great as well. Thank you Jason for the Austin falafel experience!“

“I first tried T-Loc’s in 2015, when I was in my final semester at TXST, and an apprentice to a business in ATX. My mentor brought me to T-Loc’s after a tough week and since, it’s become one of my favorites! I’d never had a Sonoran hotdog or anything like it and couldn’t believe I’d been missing out! The food is ALWAYS fresh, delicious and consistent. I love this place so much that I hired T-Loc’s to cater a private, professional event in October 2024 and I don’t have enough positive things to say. Miguel and his team are incredibly professional, timely and efficient. This was my first event to plan and execute all on my own and naturally, when last minute obstacles popped up, Miguel stepped in and he quite literally saved the day. I’m so grateful for this amazing team and all they did for me to ensure the event was a success, means the world. As long as I’m breathing, anytime I’m in ATX, a T-Loc’s trip is on the docket!“

“Just tried Song La for the first time today. Shirley was so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). Whether you've had Taiwanese food before and are craving it or just want to try some incredible fried chicken in a cool South Austin spot, definitely give them a try. ❤“

He forgot to include a fork with my order. I left but stopped to check, and I know he watched me. Before I even mentioned anything, I went back and he just handed me a fork without saying a word or acknowledging me. It felt rushed and unwelcoming, like he didn’t want to interact at all. The onion rings were amazing and I don't personally care for onion rings. The jalapeno cheese chorizo was outstanding. As good as all those were the beef ribs were the best most perfect bite of food I've ever had... But what really stood out is the amazing staff from Evan greeting us as we walked in the door to everyone that we met so helpful kind and cheerful! It’s the best one I’ve had in Texas! Their “mild” green sauce is tasty but has a decent kick so get it on the side. The staff was friendly and everything looked clean. “Chef Hong's is an awesome hidden gem, located right between two buildings. The food is freshly made and amazing, never too greasy; I loved the beef noodles, chow mein, and fried rice. Their Chinese hamburgers were also incredible. The older couple who runs it provides super wholesome service, always making sure your food is hot and fresh. A must-try for anyone looking for comforting food, making it perfect for fans of comfort food. Highly recommend!

Food has been consistently delicious that entire time, staff always seem happy to be there, vibes are low key and welcoming. Everything on the menu is good but I live for their spring rolls which are full of fresh herbs and shrimp!“

Family runs the place and they’re all super friendly. Everything is made fresh to order so they can hook up vegans, pescatarians, meat lovers… whatever you need. The prices are legit too.

I’m always getting the egg, cheese, and nopales taco with their homemade hot sauce. So damn good. But honestly their menu is wayyyy more than breakfast tacos. They’ve got tamales, full plates, shrimp cocktails, burritos, all kinds of stuff. Everything tastes authentic.

They take both cards and cash, menu is in English and Spanish, and you can call ahead for pickup. There’s also a covered patio area with seating that’s pretty cozy if you want to eat there. Just a dope spot overall.“
