Make Leroy and Lewis another Austin destination you cannot miss while in town. I have to say, go there for the kimchi. It is outstanding. The bbq is also fantastic. I loved everything I had and cannot wait to go back. Thankfully, my brother now lives in Austin, so will have to blow into town and pester him just so I can go to Leroy and Lewis.
Food was great and the staff were exceptionally friendly/welcoming and super helpful to make sure we understood the menu and even gave us some great suggestions for what to try (eg. The charred carrot which was great).

We ran over to Leroy and Lewis at 11am after Franklins sold out before even opening. The line was out the door, but just barely. Within 15 minutes, it was wrapping around the corner! Someone frequently came down the line with menus, water, and to take drink orders. By 12:30, we had our food and easily snatched a table outside.They only have brisket on Saturdays so we got the sliced beef (+ extra) and beef barbacoa (Sunday special) with the Kale Caesar Slaw and pork hash and rice....read full review
