KG bbq gets 5 stars from me on the strength of their pork ribs and brisket rice bowl. The ribs were tender and flavorful, all the things you want out of pork ribs. The brisket rice bowl was generous with the meat and we love to see it. I also got the chicken, which was dry and the baladi salad, which while good wasn’t extraordinary. We stopped here on our way back to DFW. The food is a fusion of BBQ and Egyptian cuisine. It was different, but we liked it. I had the pomegranate ribs and my husband had the Egyptian Cowboy. Then we sipped on Hibiscus tea. We plan to hit this spot up the next time we are in town.

Brisket rice bowl was amazing!Can’t express how delicious it is. Don’t live in Austin but visit my son here couple of times a year. In 23 years of visiting this is my favorite of many wonderful Austin meals.
