“One of my favorite spots I’ve hit in Austin. Unique menu, only tried the Karage and Brisket but looking forward to coming back to try other items. Karage was incredible, the ghost pepper aioli was one of best aiolis I remember eating recently. Brisket was great as well. Also a great outdoor space and a lot of open space. TVs everywhere else so great place to post up, eat, drink, and catch up with friends.“
“This place is wonderful! Everyone is so incredibly nice and knows the menu so well. They make you feel welcomed. We had our anniversary dinner here and they gave us champagne and salad on the house. The food was extremely delicious! Every single bite of it. Best steak I’ve had. The caviar bites and tamale were amazing too! Coming back for sure.“
“Saw this place walking by while day drinking on SoCo. We spotted the bar and went in. Our bartender Sydney was incredible. She made us very good drinks and was amazing company. She was working harder than anyone I’ve seen making all drinks in the bar. Without Sydney our experience would have been diminished.“
“WE LOVE KINFOLK! My girlfriend and I have come here a handful of times for special occasions. Ben and the rest of the staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. I brought my parents here for my Dad's 80th birthday and they were both blown away. My Dad is a huge connoisseur of Manhattans, and he said this was the best he has ever had. Overall, Kinfolk is a once in a lifetime experience. It's a must if you enjoy cocktails and learning more about the spirits that make up your favorite drink.“
“So glad we found this place! We were next door getting our car washed and the owner of the car wash recommended we go across the street to get a drink while we waited. The vibe in this pace was so cool. A friend that was with us said that the place felt like something from a movie scene. The bartender was very nice. I had the frozen Irish coffee. It was SO good!! I love souvenirs and the was excited to keep my cup. We will definitely be stopping there next time we are in Austin!“
“I had a sensational experience at Este recently. Everything I had was absolutely smashing. The tamarind agua Fresca was lightly sweet and refreshingly sour. I tad the tuna tiradito and am still thinking about the charred allium sauce it was served with. The swordfish tacos were a revelation, the batter was similar to a light and crispy tempura. The lime semifreddo was a creative take on a key lime pie, and the mango tamarind gelato was real treat. I sat at the bar by myself, so I got to chat with the staff throughout my meal. They were attentive and clearly passionate about their work, and most importantly, I could tell from the way they interacted with one another that Este fosters a thoughtful and supportive culture. They were so helpful and gracious with each other, acting as a real team. I was so impressed overall, and I can’t wait for my next visit!“
“4/1/24We dined at around 7:30 P.M., and we enjoyed some very interesting food! Our waiter was very nice and informative. We got a bit intrigued by the salmon egg mayonnaise appetizer, so we ordered it. Although it was 'interesting' to see and try...we had no idea that it was prepared with salmon eggs on top of the devil egged concoction. The burst of salmon egg with the somewhat boiled egg...was not a favorable appetizer. We would NEVER suggest it. 1/10 (the one rating comes from the good mayo)The fish meal on the menu was REALLY GOOD! The buttery sauce that is generously given on the plate the pan-seared fish was placed on top of really made this meal exceptional. The preparation of it was great. I wish there were more food on the plate, though (or that a good bread accompanied it). 10/10 RATING!My dinner friend ordered the pork chops with the cabbage slice. I would rate that pretty low, though. The cabbage slice was grilled, and some of it was grilled too much to enjoy. You MUST TRY THE BEET SALAD!!!! IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 RATING!!The cheese board for a dessert was great, too... The cheese selected and the jelly was delectable. The tea that is used tastes really good. The ART WORK in the restaurant is pretty and joyful to see! Our waiter allowed us to look at the book that was prepared on each artist that has art exhibited in the restaurant. You would enjoy reading about them IF you have the time.“
“Perfectly prepared Seafood, comfortable but elegant ambiance, and a great location. A nice high end but low-key spot right near the iconic Austin music spot, Antone’s.The kind crab was perfectly cooked. The braised greens had the subtlest kiss of Serrano pepper. It is seafood with a whisper of the south. The chef is James Beard award winning MASHAMA BAILEY of Savanah, so that makes a lot of sense. The vibe was relaxed but high-end.They bill this as a southern spot. I think it is more a seafood place with a whisper of the South (not to be confused with “Texan cuisine” a cousin but something entirely its own thing.)The restroom is hard to find - it is in the hotel lobby but they do not have good signage. It is buried in the back of a second elevator bank area. They have a neon sign in a different spot announcing that it is NOT the restroom - but nothing of its equal to show you where you should go / where it is.They set up shop diagonally across from Eddie V’s (seafood and chop house) which has been there for decades.Vegetarian options: This was the one area of real opportunity: there were very few options for a vegetarian / vegansDietary restrictions: Greedy for keto and gluten allergy folks!Parking: No garage. No street parking $15 for first 3 hours of valet.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible throughout“
“Such a cool spot for a hidden bar. Ambiance was low lit, sexy. Drinks are mostly good. I got the Indian paintbrush and enjoyed it but my friend got Ohms law and didn't like it. No idea what the bill was, as someone else grabbed it for the table. Service was prompt.“
“Everyone recommended this spot. Drinks were fantastic. Food came out cold, but the bartender fixed it right away. The sweet potato tots had a great seasoning, and so did the fried green tomatoes . Parking was a little difficult. It's a really cool vibe.“
“Love this place! Such a cool vibe, great drinks and fun atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and bartenders know how to make the BEST Espresso Martinis! Go see Branton at The Cauldron, he is our favorite and will take such great care of you!“
“I went there with a friend and has such a great time. We got one and half hour on our table and was reminded when there was around 30min left. Service, vibes and drinks were amazing, although unfortunately I forgot my sunglasses at the place and never heard back from the staff, even after going back there to look for it. They said they couldn’t look at the table I was because there was another party there, which I understand. They told me they would look for it and get back to me. We are now 3 days after the incident, I sent many texts checking in it and didn’t receive anything back. Very disappointed at the lack of effort since this is a nice bar and definitely not cheap. I won’t go back.“
“Hands down this place is amazing. The service was great. The drinks were really good. I had the fishbowl pineapple and peach. My husband had a regular cup the strawberry one which tastes really good. While we waited they told us the food right next door was good which was Sam’s BBQ and omg they were 100% correct. We ordered the two meat with two sides which was the brisket, ribs, mac and cheese and yams. The gentlemen bought our drinks to us from next door and we went on the patio enjoying the good food, music and drinks. Thank you soooo much to both businesses we had an amazing time here. I immediately told my friends in NY to come here when they visit. Oh and we met Sam who was so sweet to us. His brother was really nice and funny ? had us laughing a lot. Thank you to everyone here we will be back.“
“The Good: :: it's a local business! :: fantastic speakeasy with a non-pretentious vibe :: ambiance is warm, chill, and inviting :: service is very friendly :: great cocktails :: they also offer mocktails The Bad: :: music can sometimes be loud depending on where you are sitting. just ask to be seated away from the speakers and hopefully they can accommodate if they aren't packed :: they can be busy so I highly recommend you make a reservation and plan ahead The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Definitely! It's one of my favorite go-to places for a great cocktail and a great vibe. This place is IN.“
“Simply divine! Everything from the cocktails and dishes to the attentive waitstaff, even to the decorations was incredible. There wasn't a single thing I ate that I wouldn't recommend (and I ate a lot! ?) I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Austin. A big thank you to the whole team that made our dinner exceptional. Worth every penny!“
“We haven't had a meal this good in a while!Simple perfection. Incredible execution. I'll be dreaming of the smokey sourdough, and whoever says that? One of the few times when your expectations are exceeded. The only qualm I had with the experience was that the lighting was so low (which I liked), that the pictures didn't come out well. Finally, the two of us ate and drank deliciously made cocktails (let Ethan make one up for you!), all that, AND a generous tip, for less than $200!“
“The menu celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the South, with dishes like fried chicken and shrimp and grits stealing the show. Each bite is a comforting embrace of flavors, made even more delightful by the elegant surroundings and attentive service.“
“We sat in the bar for dinner. Our server Leslie was terrific and the managers checked in with us to be sure we were happy with our meals. The carpaccio melted in your mouth, although a bit heavy on the aioli. The truffle mac and cheese was creamy and had a good amount of shaved truffle. The filet duo were tender and had great flavor. We were overall very pleased with our experience as first time guests.“
“Aliyah literally fought off a swarm of bees to save our wine. She also snatched a bee out of our wine and saved our entire night. I would die for Aliyah bc she almost died for us. God knew what he was doing with that one. 10/10 a girls girl“
“Interesting flavors. El Naranjo is of course famous for their moles. The black mole is spicy, bitter, and intensely chocolatey. The sweet and creamy mole blanco is a great option for less adventurous palates. The complimentary bread is a sleeper hit. The citrus butter felt so light, mildly sweet, and fragrant. The salsa macha contained a delicious and complex blend of chilis with mild heat. I wish they sold jars of the salsa macha.“
“From the moment we stepped into Intero, we were swept into a culinary journey that was as delightful as it was memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for what was to be an exquisite dining experience. The bucatini with broccoli, sottocenere al tartufo, burnt garlic, and chive was a revelation. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce—a harmonious blend of flavors—was nothing short of amazing. It was a dish that showcased the kitchen’s skill in elevating simple ingredients to new heights. My wife’s choice, the charred cabbage with hot mustard, parmesan, and crispy onion, was equally impressive. The cabbage, often underrated, was transformed into a star dish with its smoky char and the zesty punch of the hot mustard. It was, without exaggeration, the best tasting cabbage we’ve ever had.But what truly made our evening special was the service, particularly from one of the employees who we originally thought was a hostess but turned out to be the Co-owner, Krystal. Her warm welcome and genuine friendliness made us feel like honored guests. Her attention to detail and care in ensuring our dining pleasure was exceptional. We left Intero with full bellies and warm hearts, already planning our next visit. It’s not just the food that will bring us back, but the people who make Intero more than just a restaurant—it’s a dining experience to cherish. We highly recommend Intero to anyone looking for a remarkable Italian meal in Austin. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, Intero is sure to impress.“
“Very helpful staff. The food was well done and flavorful. The ceviche was outstanding. The red snapper filets were pretty thick. The restaurant has a nice decor and there is plenty of room between the tables. It was a good choice and we'll be back.“
“Food was great! Service was more than amazing, from the moment we walked in Katherine greeted us so warm and friendly, and took care of us from start to finish, I was having a terrible day and my daughter knocked over her drink (almost sent meover the edge, stressed out moms can relate) but Katherine's kindness and sweet attitude made me feel so much better, she quickly helped and reassured me it was okay, (im sure she could tell I was stressed lol) but again her kindness made such a difference and im glad she was our server! They are lucky to have her!“
“Really friendly service and very knowledgeable about celiac/what is required to avoid cross contamination.Really great breakfast/brunch spot. The corned beef skillet and the spuds deluxe are to die for.Very loud place.Great spot for celiacs.“
“In Austin, was feeling some fancy cocktails and snacks one night. Decided to come to the RR and definitely happy we did. No reservation meant we had to sit in the upstairs bar, where the cocktail list is a bit smaller (though still significant). There was a bachelorette party when we went and it was very Texy, but overall the spot was dark, classy, diverse, with foreign films being silently screened on the wall. I love the bar's aesthetic--hip and classy but casual--and the extensive cocktail list includes a number of historical drinks through the ages as well as house creations. I opted for the Roosevelt Room Old Fashioned, which, with its branded ice cube, was a beautiful presentation. One of my companions opted for a dirty vodka martini; the other for the Cigar Box, which wins pretty much all cocktail presentation forevermore. All drinks were incredibly tasty, and the service was spectacular as well. Because we came for snacks, too, we...well, we went a little crazy. The sumac and pepper popcorn was my favorite. Perfectly popped with enough flavor to keep me coming back for more. I love popcorn. We also ordered the sweet & spicy nuts, which were, unsurprisingly, delicious. The seasonal pickle plate was another winner for me. If you pickle it, I will eat it. More traditional pickled veg (think sweet peppers, beets, etc) plated up next to pickled strawberries and blackberries--genius. Loved this as well. We also ordered the potato pancakes, which were good, but not my favorite dish here. Lastly, we got the salade verte, which I really enjoyed--but a word to the wise: the shallot in this sucker is going to make your breath horrible. All in all, this was a great spot to experience. If I lived in Austin, I don't think I would come by often, but it's definitely a great locale for when you're feeling fancy drinks in a fun, casually classy environment.“
“Not exactly a dive, as the drink prices were not cheap, but the cocktails on tap balanced that out. Intimate, dark interior with promised turntable entertainment, and a neat roadside exterior space.Parking: Parking lot is small and shared with adjacent businesses, about a dozen spaces.“
“My boyfriend & I went to check out happy hour, and weren't disappointed. Amazing happy hour. Drinks were well crafted and the food is tasty. Our server Tony did a great job with checking in on us, and spotting drinks needing to be refilled. I will definitely be back for dinner one night, I had my eye on some stuff on the menu! We had the burger, tuna tartine, and Mac. Only criticism is the Mac was a little runny, I like mine thicker, but that could be personal preference, regardless I will be back!“
“Overall experience was a 5 as all three of us loved what we ordered! Service was slow after we first ordered to the point I had to get up to ask about some drinks, hence the 4 stars here. Can't go wrong with the carnitas, camote or barbacoa tacos. We also devoured the de nada trio! All delish. Out of towner was delighted!!! I didn't love the cider margarita and that was the only f&b downside. Can't wait to go back and try some other things. And take some better pics. Not sure why these are tinted green.“
“Half Step is perfect - no notes. The staff and management are the loveliest humans on earth. You can really tell that they love working together. Great vibes and atmosphere. Incredible cocktail program. One of the few places left on Rainey that gives you a taste of what once was.“
“Went for drinks late in the evening. Place is super cozy with dim warm lighting and warm tones. Bar staff was quick and knowledgeable. Cocktail menu is diverse and has some nice spirit forward offerings. Really nice spot to hangout for a few drinks after a show!“
“Like the new spot. It's big! Indoor seating and a huge covered Biergarten outside. Dog & kid friendly. Bring your discs and walk the disc golf course. Beer is great as always, although I hate plastic cups. Didn't try the food truck as the line was super long. There's room for another 1-2 trucks so hopefully they'll expand.“
“Great food and atmosphere, a little expensive for the location in my opinion- more like downtown prices. Gorgeous space inside and tons of patio space decorated very modern and artistic.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsParking: There is a lot and street parking“
“Having been to the original Snack Bar on South Congress back in the day, my expectations were high. This place is great! I've been here 5 times now in the past 2 months. The drinks are consistent. All the food is from the farmers market, and supporting local business seems to be one Snack Bar's top priorities! If you are old enough to remember Orange Julius, you HAVE to try the Grandma Pendleton's Orange Dream. Absolutely amazing! And I highly recommend the hummus and the La Texana pizza.Today was a little chilly out and they had the fire pit going, with heated seating pads! One night they even played a movie outdoors! Truly an Austin gem for those looking for that old Austin vibe!!“
“Pretty great hot spot in East Austin! The vibes are always pretty relaxed and the drinks are delicious! Recommend trying their Echo of a Scream, Ambrosia, and Bed Head drinks. All pretty good selections! Usually doesn’t get too packed, even on the weekends so it’s a great hangout spot. Plus there’s so much outdoor seating.“
“Unique Austin! Funky and festive! Food is delicious and plenty to share. Queso with avocado, ground beef and sour cream with puffy chips - perfect appetizer to have before a Lady Longhorn basketball game. Wait staff are friendly and quick. Inside, covered patio or full sun.. choose where you want to sit and enjoy.“
“We live out of town, but go to Austin frequently for plays/concerts at the Bass Center on the UT campus. We wanted something close by (10 minutes away) and light. This fit perfectly. The specialty drinks are amazing, and bar delection is good. The wine list is small, and nothing really special. The food is fresh, tasty and good portions. We each had the tuna poke bowl and a pavlova shared for dessert. The place looks rather plain from the outside, and has a euro-minimalist look inside. The waitstaff is nice and helpful. Our waitress was from Belarus, and most of the staff seems eastern European, which explains the Euro-bistro feel. HIghly recommend!“
“This place was very vibey! Had no idea where the entrance was, which actually made it fun to look for. Did think, as a matter of subjectivity, that the music selection was a bit basic, and there could have been more experimental pieces, but it didn't detract from the experience. Drinks were tasty and creative :)“
“Came in to check the place out because a friend recommended it and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this place for a more relaxed start to the date night. Iggy was amazing and made sure we had a phenomenal first experience with Austin speakeasy’“
“Best Damn burger on 6th Street!!!! Love their selection. You can even swap out burger for chicken to change it up a bit. They occasionally have off menu items at the order stations. Get the Chicken Skewers!!! Tasted like it was marinated in yellow curry and grilled, then drizzled with teriyaki! It was amazing! Be open to telling you off! That's how you know you've got the best burgers in town! They don't have to be nice to you, you'll keep coming back for the ¾ lbs burgers and thick cut fries!Forget Hop Doddy, Mighty Fine or whatever burgers you like. This is the best!!!Open a tab. It'll be faster. They don't have Apple Pay or anything fancy like that. Give em cash or card.“
“Fantastic food and service every time I've been in! Eating at Ezov is a wonderful experience, and I'm always excited for an occasion to visit. Everything we've tried has been delicious with the Crudo, Squash Fattoush, Sabich, and Chicken Shawarma being exceptional standouts. Service is attentive, and the staff is as knowledgeable about the food as you'd expect. Make sure to get desert! My only minor gripe; the contracted out valet on Saturday 4/13 was falsely and aggressively telling people Ezov charges $10 to park - payable in Venmo or Cash to him. Rubbed me the wrong way, but hey I knew the experience inside was going to be brilliant as ever and it was! I'd recommend finding a different valet service though.“
“Went to Sammie’s for my birthday and went during the Friday lunch. The vibe were immaculate and the rigatoni bolognese was delicious. They also had NA drinks!! The Venetian spritz was yummy. But honestly? Every day I wake up and think about their Caesar salad. Every. Day.Pictured: the Caesar salad of my dreams“
“Oh my goodness! We were so happy we had the opportunity to stop by and indulge in Lin’s cuisine. The dim sum was like a soft pillow of flavor with every bite. Our volcano shrimp was sweet and the pecans added a great crunch. We also ended up getting the akaushi beef ? crispy on the outside and smooth in the inside. Probably the best part was the service though! The plates were taken away as soon as we were done, the waiter Martin checked on us a couple times, had immense knowledge about the restaurant and was so very kind! What a great introduction to the Lin Dynasty ? Can’t wait to try them all!“
“Love the energy here! They have pretty good amount of seating, and the music is great. The girls who made their rounds asking if everyone was okay were really nice. The drinks are a bit overpriced $35 for 2 espresso martinis which weren't hand made it was just out of a machine and tasted awful. The wait for the drinks take so long, felt like we were in line for a good 15 minutes to get a drink when it was pretty slow. Fun place if you just wanna chill and chat, I wouldn't come from the drinks tho.“
“This place is a perfect location off Mueller Lake. The drinks are AMAZING. Food is delicious. Amazing patio for a nice day. If you are here ask for Jose. He provides amazing service with a flare of fun personality, and an excellent experience.“
“Cute little gathering spot with some great cocktails. I’m not sure I would call it a restaurant and it’s not really a “bar atmosphere” either. Nonetheless, the food was good and drinks were great too. One suggestion would be to combine the olive plate with the cheese board and just add a few bucks to the cheese board. There was only one piece of cheese on the board but it was, in fact, delicious. Guess it was meant to be the star of the show! The burger was good. It was a unique take on the classic burger. The papas fritas were some of the best I’ve ever had. I could have eaten the whole plate by myself.I definitely think this would be a fun place to invite a large group and sit at the shared big table.I’d give Bar Toti a 4.7.Parking: Valet is the way to go“
“I initially was skeptical about the establishment because of the weird ingredients in their menu items. Wouldn't have gone to the establishment had it not been the location selected for an upcoming girls night with friends. Went in with the mindset that I would be recommending a venue change for girls night. Staff was friendly and server had good suggestions. I was impressed that the drinks were ordered initially weren't short on alcohol though the 2nd drinks weren't good. Food was actually really good and would be a great place for brunch. We won't be changing the venue for girls night and I would definitely go back.“
“I travel for work and frequent cocktail bars across the country. I'll argue this is the very best. I went off menu for 6 drinks over 2 nights and they were all unique and delicious. Finn made 5 of the drinks and Angela made 1. They are both rock stars. Go here if you are in Austin. Cool, small place.“
“Had the strongest coffee of my natural life here yesterday. (What kind of coffee do you guys use, seriously?). I haven’t slept in over 24 hours at this point and I fear I may never sleep again. So if you’re looking to be ALERT in all caps, get the coffee here.“
“Totally obsessed with this place. Simple menu that somehow has a huge variety of combinations. Healthy and Fresh and not weird about carnivores preferring protein additions to big salad or breakfast/brunch options. Quirky staff of happy people. Very Austin!“
“Had such a great experience at Caroline’s Upstairs. Bartender Uly helped make two very special custom drinks for my friend’s bachelorette celebration. Uly also helped get us all the ice shots we needed to ring the bell!! Great vibe, live DJ music, and friendly staff/patrons. Highly recommend for all ages groups.“
