Blink and you’ll miss it… This little gem is tucked away behind a bookshelf in the Firehouse Hostel. Weekends it’s open noon to two otherwise the fun starts at five.

I make this a staple each time I stop in Austin Try the Cosmo. It’s the bomb!“

“I remember when they were downtown and now that they are on the east side, it's better, IMO. I wanted to check out their happy hour, which is a really good deal! On Mondays, it's half off wine bottles. And their wines are priced fairly to begin with. We tried a listan negro, which I haven't had before, but fun to try. Our bartender Christian was fun to chat with and hear about the history and just talk about the food we had. Patatas bravas, the tuna pintxo and the burger were all delicious and you NEED to get the burnt basque cheesecake. There are a few of their classic dishes from before but i think this new menu is more approachable. The ambiance is lovely, they light candles when the sun sets and gives it a cozy vibe. It's a spacious restaurant at the corner. I hope they thrive because the drinks, service and food were delicious.“

He kept checking in at the perfect times, refilled our drinks without us having to ask, and made sure everything came out correct. “Nice vibes and ambience! Bartenders very cool and chill. We were hungry so we tried three rolls: Ora King Salmon, Snow crab, Hamaki Avocado. The hamachi crudo was delicious and fresh. The chickens karaage, miso cured salmon dish very delicious. We will come back next door to try the omakase. Our bartender said it’s 17 courses and worth it! Our drinks were good I got the Yume, husband got the old fashioned and we tried a non alcoholic one too. All good. Glad this was next to our parking garage and we found it! Thanks y’all. The DJ was playing all the good hits too. I was vibing the whole time.“

“My wife and I visited Austin (Barton Creek Area) which is amazing by itself. We were headed back to Dallas and wanted breakfast. There were lots of choices but this place stood out. OMG I’m glad we went. Got on the waitlist and it went quick. The staff at the greet stand were nice and friendly but when we got to table, it went up a notch!!
STEPHANIE WAS AMAZING!! Now don’t let her occasional “hell yeah” fool you for something bad. It is her affectionate way for letting you know that “something is good and a great option!” She was wonderful and so was the food. I got chicken and waffles and wife got breakfast quesadillas. “Foxtail has become one of our favorite spots on Burnet Road. Right next to Mama Betty’s (which is a must-try for Tex-Mex), it’s intimate and feels inviting, with moody lighting and a minimalist elegant vibe.

The cocktails are thoughtfully made and balanced, and the service has been consistently attentive. Blake was honestly a standout bartender, knowledgeable and on top of it even when the rush hit. Highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!“
