“Honestly, I love this place! It came here for the first time last week and didn’t have a reservation. I waited at the bar until a table open. Their drinks are great, but my goodness their food! I got the lobster rolls and the crabcakes. I had to add some salt, but I had salt to everything. But I was in heaven!I came back this week and got the brown butter, curry shrimp, and the Aji tuna nachos! I’m in heaven. The jazz music was awesome. The service staff was incredible. And the food top notch! I’m not sure why I would go anywhere else! What a great way to spend a Friday evening!Oh, and the edamame. Amazing!“
“The pizza was satisfactory, and the interior of the establishment was aesthetically pleasing. However, the price of the wings was excessive, as five wings were sold for nine dollars. The pizza dough was thin but of high quality. The amount of cheese and toppings was somewhat lacking, but the flavors were enjoyable. The prices were generally reasonable. This establishment is a suitable option for individuals seeking a satisfactory pizza experience, without having to look all over town. The only thing I can not stand is the amount of chlorine in New Brunfels water; bottled soda or water would be a nice option to have for those who don't like the taste of water in town. Other than that, a nice pizza parlor.“
“I had a fantastic experience at The Reserve on 1863. The outdoor venue is superb, boasting an impressive selection of whiskey and bourbon. The weekends are alive with great music, and the food trucks add a delightful touch. Highly recommended for a vibrant and enjoyable outing!“
“We discovered Off the Clock a couple years ago and have been stopping by ever since! The owners are some of the kindest people we’ve met in New Braunfels. On top of that, all of the patrons are super friendly and if you walk in as a stranger you leave as a friend. Plus big bonus for us is that we get to bring our fur babies with us! :) Thanks for always making us feel welcome and letting us enjoy a relaxing drink with our pups!“
“Cody’s is hands down the best dining experience I have had since 2019! The food was incredible, offering classic French dishes, Japanese-fusion and divine steaks! Our waiter (Randolph) was incredible, very attentive and yet left us to simply enjoy ourselves as long as we wanted. A massive improvement from having been asked to leave after an hour and a half at other places! My husband and I got to enjoy true quality time together, talking about the next steps in our lives over a simply curated yet expertly crafted menu.Randolph purposely spaced out the different dishes we ordered so as not to overwhelm us with too many flavors at once. This wasn’t a brag, but a necessity! I’m telling you, every dish was insanely unique and well thought out! I’ve not had anything like it!Cody’s takes the top of my list for best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try everything Cody’s has to offer. Take advantage of this experience before they raise the prices! They are well worth it!Vegetarian options: Kabocha squash is mentioned thrice on the menu, as an appetizer, a salad and its own dish. I think I’ll have to try it next, but they also had at least 1 other appetizer and main dish that did not have meat.“
“This underground speakeasy was an awesome place to go for a drink after spending the day in Gruene. The drinks are great quality, and the service is super attentive. The only thing I would note, is that there is very limited seating. You are not guaranteed a seat, but you are guaranteed to have a good time if you enjoy a good historical feel. Drinks are not cheap, but that’s how you know it will be worth it. The speakeasy is NOT kid friendly, but there is an are above the speakeasy where minors are allowed.“
“Everything was great about Kraus’. Husband and I were in the area for our dog’s vet appt and needed lunch when she was done. Found this dog-friendly, beer having spot! The reuben wasn’t anything special, but it was yummy. Dressing served on the side. German potato salad has mustard and vinegar which leads to a very acidic flavor profile that wasn’t my cup of tea. Husband got the venison burger and ate it right up. Wish we’d live closer and we’d probably become regulars.“
“They don't serve food here but they do have some pretzels apparently at the bar in a big jug. The drinks are very good. The bartenders are very friendly however, one or two parties being loud can be obnoxious. There's not a whole lot on the wall or the floors to absorb sound so it could be very very noisy. Especially if there's a bunch of drunk women at the table over from you. Don't ask me how I know. There are about five tables inside and two couches and some lounge/conversation chairs and a couple of seats at the bar. They also have a small outside patio.“
“Had seen this place off the Highway for years, finally stopped in and I’m sorry we didn’t earlier! Great atmosphere with a great mix of dinner music. We got outstanding service from Audrey. Just right amount of attention but not too much to interrupt eating & conversation. The entire staff was friendly and prompt. Explained the menu just right. Chips and salsa were outstanding. Flaky chips salted just right and a hot (temperature) chipotle smokey salsa with just right amount of spice. Had the waygu beef & chicken fajitas. The beef was marinated so well, tender and perfectly cooked. Flour & white corn tortillas- both pillowy soft. It came with Ancho butter. This stuff is amazing. Very clean place including the rest rooms. Overall a great place. Prices are a little higher than the typical, but the food is better, so I don’t mind that. Been to so many Mexican restaurants in San Antonio over the last decade, this one is one of the top level ones. We’ll be back! They are doing things right.“
“I love this place! The food and service is beyond amazing. I ordered the Flatbread Margherita pizza and it was delicious! Candice and Brittany are great bartenders and the chef gets props as well. The manager was introduced to me and was not nice. It's okay, I felt the same way dude, but will come back anyway. ?“
“First of all, this is coming from someone who is very familiar with Chuy’s! Been to TONS of locations, and even worked there for a short time. Food is excellent! Honestly, even better than other Chuys in the area. Nice staff as well! But, let’s get to some head-scratchers that I would like to list for management/corporate. Number 1, most glaring and obvious, why is this location so much smaller than average? NB is a huge town with a crazy tourist surge in the summertime, and this location does not have the space to accommodate. Number 2, everytime we come here, it’s freezing. Even when it’s warm outside. It makes the dining experience uncomfortable because it feels like the temperature is at 55F. Number 3, another entrance and exit to the location is desperately needed, it is nearly impossible to safety get to from the highway turnaround or coming from creekside.“
“We've been once before when they first opened and it was great! Returned this year for the Christmas pop-up and cocktail event on Xmas Eve -- had a blast! They welcome all customers and are very accommodating to requests. No food served here (heard a guy come in and ask the owner) but The Gruene Door is next door and Kora Kora coffee. We will be back - excited to check out the Halloween pop-up next year! Oh and we just won the holiday (free) raffle! Yay!“
