We had a BLT, loved the fried green tomato twist, but the bacon was over done and the bread was a little soggy.
Turkey dinner was great and southwest tacos were good.
Our server Jennifer C was friendly and efficient.
The staff was mostly awesome, could have done without listening to host bad mouthing fellow employees and other guests while waiting for our table.“

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!“

“Our server was Amazing, hands down she immediate identified the simplest things, by identifying what our concerns were on the menu from ingredients to portion size.
Your options for seating is simple indoors with ceiling fans or outdoors under country/farm style shade, with fans and misters. It sits right over the river with exceptional views. Thier restrooms are country/farm style, depending on which restrooms you use.
This was our third visit because we enjoy the atmosphere. The near by shops are authentic and not so commercial like other locations.“

“We randomly found this place because we were in town for a wedding. We simply walked by and saw the name and caught our attention. We've tried alot of Oyster places and we didnt know what to expect. This place is our to go to EVERYTIME we come to town now. The oyster are fresh and didnt realize they had a couple options depending on where they are from. So far we've come to try something new on the menu each time but always our to go to is the oysters. I can definitely say nothing on the menu so far is a disappointment and we've tried atleast 70% of their menu. Definitely a recommended place!“

“We had lunch yesterday ( Fathers Day ) at Root Cellar. Upon arrival we were told that it was about a 50 minute wait. I saw several open tables inside that needed to be cleaned off plus 3 open tables outside that needed to be cleaned but there was a 50 minute wait???? This was the first time visiting for my wife & I but not for our kids. The waiter came & took our drink order at which time I told him I wanted ice tea & I wanted my glass full of ice none of this 1/3 or 1/4 full. Well the waiter wasn't listening or paying attention I got a glass of ice tea with little ice. When he came back to refill my tea glass I reminded him that I wanted a full glass of ice, he began to lecture how a full glass of ice was going to water down my tea. Dude, don't lecture me, this old man been around the sun a few more times than you. The waiter took our order of food which turned out to be mostly sandwiches. The menu stated that each sandwich came with kettle chips & then there were sides that you could add if you wanted, I ordered a side mac & cheese to which I got a lecture from the waiter. When we got our food instead kettle chips we got kettle chip pieces, what was left in the bottom of the bag everyone else already the chips so we got the crushed chips from the bottom of the bag. Come on Root Cellar I think you can do better than that.“

“My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Myron's June 18, 2024. Our hostess Monica was wonderful. She was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our steaks were prepared to perfection. “We were visiting New Braunfels and wanted a good BBQ place. The first one we went to didn’t have what I wanted, and I hate the picnic bench seating. So we went back to the list and chose Smokey Mo’s. I am so glad we did!!!My baked potato was so good, and there was no skimping on toppings! My two youngest had the ribs, and they were amazingly flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender! The creamed corn was new to me, but so delicious! The turkey in the turkey sandwich was super juicy and tender, though slightly more salty than we prefer. But still delicious! We will be coming back every time we visit the area!!!“
