“We had a table for nine after church on a Sunday so it took a while to be seated. But the wait was worth it! Wonderful atmosphere. Excellent service. Great food. We’ve never been disappointed and it remains one of our favorite places to go for the past 30 years.“

“We went for our first time. We were the only ones in the restaurant and service was very poor. We waited over 15 minutes for our check while the owner sat at another table chatting with someone. Food was good however the menu needs improvements. The descriptions were very vague and it didnt seem like a menu for a mexican restaurant.. And I have never been to a mexican restaurant that doesnt serve chips and salsa.“

“Got breakfast to go and will definitely be a regular returning costumer. Breakfast tacos were flavorful and hot. They came labeled which no other place does anymore for some reason. Pancakes were perfectly cooked, fluffy and stacked high. Hashbrowns were crispy and cheap to add on. Everything was affordable and service was quick and the lady was very polite“

“This is one of those places you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This is my families favorite taqueria in New Braunfels. I don't go here for the atmosphere 🤣.

It is family owned and everything is homemade and the family has always been great to us and recognize us when we call in our orders.

Some mention the size of the tacos are small, I don't feel that way. I appreciate that they aren't stuffed to the max!

The breakfast tacos are great, the chicken fajita are awesome and my favorite is the barbacoa! They also have platters, but I enjoy the tacos to much to not get them.

“Hubby and I just took our three small dogs here to eat. What a pleasant experience! Pet friendly out front eating! Reagan was our server and she was excellent! Sweet, knowledgeable, courteous and she checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Food was delicious! Carne guisada, enchiladas, guacamole-all top notch delicious! “The caldo was everything we hoped it would be. The flavors were like coming home. The fish tacos had that crispy outside and moist inside that I just can't make at home. So delicious. Daniella was so kind to us. The dining area was bright and spacious. Really enjoyed my experience today.“

“This place is the real deal. A hidden gem for sure. Traveling back home from a hunting trip my family and I made a quick stop here to enjoy some puffy tacos and really grateful we chose this spot. The charro beans were perfect and the rice was sensational. Everything had a true tejano flavor that brought back child memories of what you remember good food tasted like. Very hard to find these days. The service was extremely friendly. Wish I lived closer but we definitely will make this our new pit stop back and forth from now on.“

“Today, my husband and I decided to get lunch at Las Palapas at Creekside in New Braunfels, on our way to Home Depot. We were greeted quickly. We were seated in Brooklyn's section. The food was hot, drinks were cold. Food arrived quickly. We had the Enchilada verdes plate and the super bowl, with a coupon for the mama ruth flauta plate. They were good, the shredded chicken was over salted but still edible. Our server, Brook, came to take our order quickly, when we ordered we asked for our drinks with no ice. She brought out mine correctly but my husbands had a full a glass of ice. She took it back and fixed it. While we were eating, she checked on us once after bringing out our food. When we asked for our bill, we asked for the military discount. When she brought out our bill, we handed her the gift card we had along with 20.00 cash to make up the difference. When she returned she brought out two 5 dollar bills. our change was supposed to be: $10.55. When we noticed it, we asked the other waitress in the area to ask her to come back to our table. When she was called to the table for us to explain about it the other waitress in the section was still there. When Brooke was told about the fact that we wanted the 55 cents, she took an attitude about us wanting our 55 cents. Saying: they want the 55 cents? while she was standing right in front of us. We should have called the manager at that moment. The way I feel is that she took the 55 cents. She should have given us the entire amount of change per our receipt, allowing us to choose tell her to keep it. As it was we were going to give her an 11.00 tip, once we discovered the change returned to us was not correct and she displayed an attitude, we changed the amount of tip to 1.55. We have talked to the manager about this issue as well. I used to work waiting on tables, I always give good tips, and I know the work is hard and sometimes you get bad customers, however: NEVER did I not give back the full change on the receipt. In my book that would have been considered stealing from the customer.“

“Need numbers for every single menu item, if you can only hire Spanish speakers that do not a word of english. Food Is 5 stars, service is always difficult and half the time online orders are missing something or have something wrong. Business would be booming if they made small adjustments like that, bring a translator app if you are getting anything in the evening. Not exactly served with a smile either, especially if you can't speak fluent spanish.“

“I just moved to New Braunfels from the Austin area. I ordered my usual two 4 item breakfast tacos. The tacos are double in size from what I am used to in Austin. It's also a sit down place with awesome service. I went early on a Sunday morning and saw 6 servers there. And they have a patio that you can bring your dog to. The food was excellent and I could tell they used fresh tortillas.“

My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! “Authentic atmosphere, good food portions. I had the beef fajita plate and the meat was very flavorful and the portion was HUGE. Def worth the $17 unlike other places who charge 30$ for a small portion. My only complaints were that the rice wasn’t very good and the refried beans were definitely from a can. As for the service, I can see how some people are reviewing poor service but in my opinion that’s just cause of the language barrier. Overall, I’d recommend and I will def be back.“

“This was the first time being in new Braunfels visiting a friend needed a good restaurant with good scenery and nice atmosphere. We decided to go to Casa Garcia. Very friendly staff. The service was amazing. Our server was Chloe hands down 10 out of 10.

Drinks is fair priced food is fair priced and very tasteful.

We’ll definitely return to the location in the near future of any type of lucky. I would love to have Chloe as my server she is highly recommended.“

The Hideaway provided an amazing nacho bar, an open bar for our guests, and an incredible band, Rock Castle. The service, music, food, and drinks were amazing!!
