“We checked out Cactus Bloom Cocina recently. It was really good! We had huevos rancheros and it didn't disappoint. Our server, Crystal was awesome! She checked on us constantly and had a great personality. The only downside was the parking. It was nothing less than stressful. It was a tiny dirt parking lot. Seemed like an ideal place to get a fender bender. Other than that it was a great experience!“

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. “Got breakfast to go and will definitely be a regular returning costumer. Breakfast tacos were flavorful and hot. They came labeled which no other place does anymore for some reason. Pancakes were perfectly cooked, fluffy and stacked high. Hashbrowns were crispy and cheap to add on. Everything was affordable and service was quick and the lady was very polite“

“We needed something to eat this morning and so we did a google search and this placed popped up. So the 4 of us agreed on breakfast so we made the drive from the hotel to here. I have to say that it is well worth it to come here for breakfast! The food was delicious, hot and fresh. We all agreed that we will definitely eat here again!“

“Taco Palenque is good eating! This is our go to place for Mexican food we love the fajitas and the condiment bar. Jamaica is my favorite drink and hubby like Horchata. This taco Palenque had awesome music and not blaring. The mix of oldies Spanish pop was awesome to listen to while we ate.

Most taco Palenques use Fabulouso to “clean” but it stinks so strong especially when you’re eating, we hate smelling it. Thankfully at the Schertz location we never smelled!! I sincerely wished they’d switch to Pinot, since that does disinfect not like Fabulouso which is toxic and doesn’t disinfect it just stinks sweet & strong to give you the illusion. Keep up with the wonderful oldies Spanish pop music so glad you do t have all the bands music which is always blaring at the 1604 & Culebra location. Plus that one always reeks of Fabulouso as you walk in to get in line and pass the restrooms😢“

“Need numbers for every single menu item, if you can only hire Spanish speakers that do not a word of english. Food Is 5 stars, service is always difficult and half the time online orders are missing something or have something wrong. Business would be booming if they made small adjustments like that, bring a translator app if you are getting anything in the evening. Not exactly served with a smile either, especially if you can't speak fluent spanish.“

“I just moved to New Braunfels from the Austin area. I ordered my usual two 4 item breakfast tacos. The tacos are double in size from what I am used to in Austin. It's also a sit down place with awesome service. I went early on a Sunday morning and saw 6 servers there. And they have a patio that you can bring your dog to. The food was excellent and I could tell they used fresh tortillas.“

My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! “Cool little spot. We got there too late to eat, even though we were starving. Went to restroom and there was no toilet paper had to phone a friend for help. The drinks, rum and coke and a whiskey were so light on alcohol I am pretty sure they did not have any...at all.“
