“We checked out Cactus Bloom Cocina recently. It was really good! We had huevos rancheros and it didn't disappoint. Our server, Crystal was awesome! She checked on us constantly and had a great personality. The only downside was the parking. It was nothing less than stressful. It was a tiny dirt parking lot. Seemed like an ideal place to get a fender bender. Other than that it was a great experience!“

“Got breakfast to go and will definitely be a regular returning costumer. Breakfast tacos were flavorful and hot. They came labeled which no other place does anymore for some reason. Pancakes were perfectly cooked, fluffy and stacked high. Hashbrowns were crispy and cheap to add on. Everything was affordable and service was quick and the lady was very polite“

“Taco Palenque is good eating! This is our go to place for Mexican food we love the fajitas and the condiment bar. Jamaica is my favorite drink and hubby like Horchata. This taco Palenque had awesome music and not blaring. The mix of oldies Spanish pop was awesome to listen to while we ate.

Most taco Palenques use Fabulouso to “clean” but it stinks so strong especially when you’re eating, we hate smelling it. Thankfully at the Schertz location we never smelled!! I sincerely wished they’d switch to Pinot, since that does disinfect not like Fabulouso which is toxic and doesn’t disinfect it just stinks sweet & strong to give you the illusion. Keep up with the wonderful oldies Spanish pop music so glad you do t have all the bands music which is always blaring at the 1604 & Culebra location. Plus that one always reeks of Fabulouso as you walk in to get in line and pass the restrooms😢“

“Mario was our waiter tonight for our party of 12.5 and he was so accommodating. Mario provided us with friendly and fast service and he served us all with a smile. We had family in from California and they commented on what great service Mario gave us all. Great hostesses and the food was so delicious as always. “Authentic atmosphere, good food portions. I had the beef fajita plate and the meat was very flavorful and the portion was HUGE. Def worth the $17 unlike other places who charge 30$ for a small portion. My only complaints were that the rice wasn’t very good and the refried beans were definitely from a can. As for the service, I can see how some people are reviewing poor service but in my opinion that’s just cause of the language barrier. Overall, I’d recommend and I will def be back.“

“Accidentally happened across this place today. There was a truckstop to turn. I was behind it I saw it, and I thought to myself that place has to have good food. I am glad I stopped. It was amazing. Service is great. Place is clean. It’s a bit far from me but I’ll go out of my way to come back to this place. Truckers if y’all drive that highway stop don’t make a mistake and miss out on it just pick up some tacos. They have a drive-through. If not, they have a large dining area that’s clean . Never seen a restaurant that clean and organized. I know Uber eats doesn’t deliver that place to my house. It’s too far. But I’ll definitely make the drive again. .“

“We got there at 10 minutes to the kitchen closing but they welcomed us in and the food was great. A really good band on the outside stage was rocking Stevie Ray Vaughn and inside the large screen TV's had sports AND a trivia game you could participate in. I'm not into sports so the trivia was fun. During the day there is a play area for kids with a nice sized slide and playset.Really a cool place and reasonably priced.“

My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! “Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.“

“I just moved to New Braunfels from the Austin area. I ordered my usual two 4 item breakfast tacos. The tacos are double in size from what I am used to in Austin. It's also a sit down place with awesome service. I went early on a Sunday morning and saw 6 servers there. And they have a patio that you can bring your dog to. The food was excellent and I could tell they used fresh tortillas.“
