“We showed up early Sunday Afternoon, about an hour before they closed. We were seated in under 10 minutes. All the staff were hustling. We had the Norde Brisket (wonderful) and a Chili Relleno (big and tasty). Everything exceeded our expectations. We had not been here since before Covid, we will be going more.“
“Great fine in Main St in Schertz. This is #2 so there must be an original location (which is on Frederiscksburg RD) elsewhere. This place was just such a find. Super clean, extra friendly and polite staff, great food, and well their salsa was just completely different than many, many others served across the metro area. Proud to be in the US, serving the community and the airman stationed nearby at Randolph AFB part of Joint Base San Antonio. It is more than worth the drive, and was just exceptional. As Arnold said….”I’ll be back”Parking: Multiple lots because of popularity. Turn onto Randolph Ave for parking across the street. Also free parking on the street.“
“The food was delicious, and plenty. I really loved their corn tortillas, and they were homemade. They had a lot of options for breakfast. Our waited was great, and she took really good care of the family.Kid-friendliness: Yes, they have kids' plates.“
“Update! After I posted my original review,(see below) I received a response from management, requesting that I email them. A few weeks after I sent an email, I received a very nice phone call from management, apologizing for my experience and I was offered a combo plate. She emailed me a code that I took to the restaurant. Inside, not the drive through, per her instructions. I ordered the chicken fajita plate with flour tortillas. It came with rice, refried beans, lettuce, a huge scoop of guacamole, grilled onions and 3 tortilla! This time the chicken WAS NOT dry. Everything was delicious! The cashier was unsure how to use the code on the email, but she took a picture of the email and offered me two small bags of hot, salted tortilla chips! This is what I call perfect service! Because of management being so caring, I will definitely be returning! This was my first visit! Ordered street tacos (chicken) with guacamole, and cilantro. I went through the drive thru. It didn't take long to place my order but I was asked to pull up to section 1, while my order was being made. Overall the meal was ok, but my chicken was really really dry. It came with a side of beans. The beans were delicious. Pricey at 15.00“
“It should be noted this location only provides Take Out Service. There aren’t tables and chairs nor restrooms to use. But for what it is currently it does provide Exceptional Service and Food. It is Hot, Flavorful, and Ready to Eat. The Barbacoa is the Best Barbacoa anywhere. I recommend getting there early as they run out and the last few orders of the day usually have more fat.I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years. I wish they had a location in New Braunfels. The 30 Minute Drive to Schertz is definitely worth this Incredible Barbacoa. Price is worth it and very budget friendly. I highly recommend this Barbacoa.“
“Good morning. Simply put, the atmosphere is plain. The food is good and the service is good. If there was a 4.5 for food, today I would have given it to them. Chips and salsa was on our table faster then we could open the menu and they were busy. Our server was very attentive to our needs and making sure we were taken care of. So a 5 star there. I ordered the daily special which was 3 enchiladas, I chose beef and cheese. My wife had Caldo de Res. Definitely worth it and we will order these again. Short, sweet and to the point, yes, go- eat and be happy.“
“I had the #1 ( 2 enchiladas /2 puffy tacos with guacamole. The guacamole was thin, not thick . I’ll pass on guacamole next time, but the food was delicious , Enchiladas chips/salsa was good, beans also great flavor. Tortilla homemade.. my puffy taco didn’t hold up, need to eat with a fork.“
“We needed a late night place to eat so we decided to try it. If you've been to a Rosie's Cafe or Taco Cabana, this place is very similar. I do think the food here is better. I recommend the queso, and the chicken fajita quesadilla. Their nachos looked really good too, but I didn't try them.“
“If you're driving between Houston and San Antonio, this is the place to stop. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service excellent. Everyone at our table ordered something different and we were all impressed. Check out the street tacos or the al pastor!“
